Lalamiko La Habakuki

21:2 Za 13:1-2; 22:1-2; 6:3; 27:7; Yer 14:9Ee Bwana, hata lini nitakuomba msaada,

lakini wewe husikilizi?

Au kukulilia, “Udhalimu!”

Lakini hutaki kuokoa?

31:3 Ay 9:23; Yer 20:8; Za 55:9Kwa nini unanifanya nitazame dhuluma?

Kwa nini unavumilia makosa?

Uharibifu na udhalimu viko mbele yangu;

kuna mabishano na mapambano kwa wingi.

41:4 Ay 12:6; Za 12:8; 58:2Kwa hiyo sheria imepotoshwa,

nayo haki haipo kabisa.

Waovu wanawazunguka wenye haki,

kwa hiyo haki imepotoshwa.

Jibu La Bwana

5“Yatazame mataifa,

uangalie na ushangae kabisa.

Kwa sababu katika siku zako nitafanya kitu

ambacho hungeamini,

hata kama ungeambiwa.

6Nitawainua Wakaldayo,

watu hao wakatili na wenye haraka,

ambao hupita dunia yote

kuteka mahali pa kuishi pasipo pao wenyewe.

7Ni watu wanoogopwa na wanaotisha;

wenyewe ndio sheria yao,

na huinua heshima yao wenyewe.

8Farasi wao ni wepesi kuliko chui,

na wakali kuliko mbwa mwitu wakati wa machweo.

Askari wapanda farasi wao huenda mbio;

waendesha farasi wao wanatoka mbali.

Wanaruka kasi kama tai ili kurarua;

91:9 Hab 2:5wote wanakuja tayari kwa fujo.

Makundi yao ya wajeuri yanasonga mbele

kama upepo wa jangwani,

na kukusanya wafungwa

kama mchanga.

101:10 2Nya 36:6; Yer 33:4Wanawabeza wafalme,

na kuwadhihaki watawala.

Wanaicheka miji yote iliyozungushiwa maboma;

wanafanya malundo ya udongo na kuiteka hiyo miji.

111:11 Yer 4:11-12; Dan 4:30Kisha wanapita kasi kama upepo na kusonga mbele:

watu wenye hatia, ambao nguvu zao ndio mungu wao.”

Lalamiko La Pili La Habakuki

121:12 Mwa 21:33; Isa 31:1; 37:23; Kut 33:22; Isa 10:6; Mwa 49:24; Za 118:17Ee Bwana, je, wewe sio wa tangu milele?

Mungu wangu, Uliye Mtakatifu wangu, hatutakufa.

Ee Bwana, umewachagua wao ili watekeleze hukumu;

Ee Mwamba, umewaamuru watuadhibu.

131:13 Za 18:26; Mao 3:34-36; Za 25:3; Ay 21:7Macho yako ni safi mno hata yasiweze kuutazama uovu,

wala huwezi kuvumilia makosa.

Kwa nini basi unawavumilia wadanganyifu?

Kwa nini unakuwa kimya wakati waovu

wanawameza wale wenye haki

kuliko wao wenyewe?

14Umewafanya watu kama samaki baharini,

kama viumbe wa bahari wasio na mtawala.

151:15 Yer 5:26; Isa 19:8; Ay 18:8; Yer 16:16Adui mwovu anawavuta wote kwa ndoana,

anawakamata katika wavu wake,

anawakusanya katika juya lake;

King James Version

Habakkuk 1:1-17

1The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. 2O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save! 3Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. 4Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.1.4 wrong: or, wrested

5¶ Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you. 6For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.1.6 breadth: Heb. breadths 7They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.1.7 their judgment…: or, from them shall proceed the judgment of these, and the captivity of these 8Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.1.8 fierce: Heb. sharp 9They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.1.9 their…: or, the supping up of their faces, etc: or, their faces shall look (Heb. the opposition of their faces) toward the east 10And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it. 11Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

12Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.1.12 mighty…: Heb. rock1.12 established: Heb. founded 13Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?1.13 iniquity: or, grievance 14And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?1.14 creeping: or, moving 15They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.1.15 drag: or, flue net 16Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.1.16 plenteous: or, dainty: Heb. fat 17Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
