Ayubu 32:1-22

Sehemu Ya Tatu: Mazungumzo Ya Elihu

(Ayubu 32–37)

Elihu Awakemea Rafiki Za Ayubu

nanyi ni wazee;

ndiyo sababu niliogopa,

sikuthubutu kuwaambia kile ninachojua.

732:7 1Nya 29:15; 2Nya 10:6Nilifikiri, ‘Yafaa umri useme,

nao wingi wa miaka ungefundisha hekima.’

832:8 Ay 27:3; 33:4; Mit 2:6; 1Fal 3:9Lakini ni Roho iliyoko ndani ya mwanadamu,

pumzi ya Mwenyezi, ndiyo impayo yeye ufahamu.

932:9 1Kor 1:21-26Sio wazee peke yao walio na hekima,

sio wenye umri mkubwa peke yao wanaofahamu lililo sawa.

1032:10 Ay 33:1; 31:33; Za 34:11; Ay 5:27“Kwa hiyo nasema: Nisikilizeni mimi;

mimi nami nitawaambia lile ninalojua.

11Nilingojea mlipokuwa mnaongea,

nilizisikiliza hoja zenu;

mlipokuwa mkitafuta maneno ya kusema,

1232:12 Ay 32:3niliwasikiliza kwa makini.

Lakini hakuna hata mmoja wenu

aliyethibitisha kwamba Ayubu amekosa;

hakuna hata mmoja wenu

aliyeweza kujibu hoja zake.

1332:13 Mhu 9:11; Yer 9:23Msiseme, ‘Tumepata hekima;

Mungu na amthibitishe kuwa mwongo,

wala si mwanadamu.’

1432:14 Ay 23:4Lakini Ayubu hajayapanga maneno yake dhidi yangu,

nami sitamjibu kwa kutumia hoja zenu.

1532:15 Ay 32:1“Wametiwa hofu na hawana la zaidi la kusema;

maneno yamewaishia.

16Je, ningoje sasa kwa sababu wamekuwa kimya,

kwa vile sasa wanasimama bila kuwa na la kujibu?

1732:17 Ay 5:27; 33:3; 36:4Mimi nami nitakuwa na la kusema;

mimi nami nitasema lile nilijualo.

1832:18 Mdo 4:20; 1Kor 9:16; 2Kor 5:14Kwa kuwa nimejawa na maneno,

nayo Roho iliyomo ndani yangu yanisukuma;

1932:19 Yer 20:9; Amo 3:8; Mt 9:17ndani yangu niko kama chupa iliyojazwa divai,

kama kiriba kipya cha divai kilicho tayari kupasuka.

2032:20 Ay 4:2; Yer 6:11Ni lazima niseme ili niweze kutulia;

ni lazima nifumbue midomo yangu nipate kujibu.

2132:21 Law 19:15; 2Nya 19:7; Mt 22:16Sitampendelea mtu yeyote,

wala sitajipendekeza kwa mtu yeyote;

2232:22 Ay 4:17; 9:9; Za 12:2-4kwa kuwa kama ningekuwa stadi wa kujipendekeza,

Muumba wangu angeniondolea mbali kwa upesi.

New International Reader’s Version

Job 32:1-22

The Speech of Elihu

1So the three men stopped answering Job, because he thought he was right. 2But Elihu the Buzite was very angry with Job. That’s because Job said he himself was right instead of God. Elihu was the son of Barakel. He was from the family of Ram. 3Elihu was also very angry with Job’s three friends. They hadn’t found any way to prove that Job was wrong. But they still said he was guilty. 4Elihu had waited before he spoke to Job. That’s because the others were older than he was. 5But he saw that the three men didn’t have anything more to say. So he was very angry.

6Elihu the Buzite, the son of Barakel, said,

“I’m young, and you are old.

So I was afraid to tell you what I know.

7I thought, ‘Those who are older should speak first.

Those who have lived for many years

should teach people how to be wise.’

8But the spirit in people gives them understanding.

The breath of the Mighty One gives them wisdom.

9Older people aren’t the only ones who are wise.

They aren’t the only ones who understand what is right.

10“So I’m saying you should listen to me.

I’ll tell you what I know.

11I waited while you men spoke.

I listened to your reasoning.

While you were searching for words,

12I paid careful attention to you.

But not one of you has proved that Job is wrong.

None of you has answered his arguments.

13Don’t claim, ‘We have enough wisdom to answer Job.’

Let God, not a mere man, prove that he’s wrong.

14Job hasn’t directed his words against me.

I won’t answer him with your arguments.

15“Job, these men are afraid.

They don’t have anything else to say.

They’ve run out of words.

16Do I have to keep on waiting, now that they are silent?

They are just standing there with nothing to say.

17I too have something to say.

I too will tell what I know.

18I’m full of words.

My spirit inside me forces me to speak.

19Inside I’m like wine that is bottled up.

I’m like new wineskins ready to burst.

20I must speak so I can feel better.

I must open my mouth and reply.

21I’ll treat everyone the same.

I won’t praise anyone without meaning it.

22If I weren’t honest when I praised people,

my Maker would soon take me from this life.
