मिलिते दीप के तीर म
1जब हमन बांचके तीर म आ गेन, तब हमन ला पता चलिस कि ए दीप ह मिलिते कहे जाथे। 2दीप के रहइया मनखेमन हमर ऊपर अब्बड़ दया करिन। पानी गिरत रहय अऊ जाड़ घलो लगत रहय, एकरसेति ओमन आगी बारिन अऊ हमर सुवागत करिन। 3पौलुस ह लकड़ी के बोझा बटोरिस अऊ जब ओला आगी म डारत रिहिस, त एक ठन जहरिला सांप आगी के आंच पाके निकरिस अऊ पौलुस के हांथ म लपट गीस। 4जब दीप के रहइया मनखेमन ओकर हांथ म सांप ला लपटे देखिन, त ओमन एक-दूसर ले कहिन, “ए मनखे ह सही म हतियारा ए। हालाकि एह समुंदर ले बांच तो गीस, पर नियाय ह ओला जीयन नइं दीस।” 5तब पौलुस ह सांप ला आगी म झटकार दीस अऊ ओला कुछू नइं होईस। 6पर मनखेमन ए आसा करत रहंय कि पौलुस के देहें ह फूल जाही या ओह अचानक गिरके मर जाही। पर बहुंत देर तक देखे के बाद घलो ओला कुछू नइं होईस, त ओमन के मन के बिचार बदल गीस अऊ ओमन कहिन, “एह तो कोनो देवता ए।”
7लकठा म, ओ दीप के मुखिया के कुछू खेत रहय। मुखिया के नांव पुबलियुस रहय। ओह हमन ला अपन घर ले गीस अऊ तीन दिन तक हमर पहुनई करिस। 8ओकर ददा ह बेमार रहय। ओला जर आवत रहय अऊ अब्बड़ बहिर फिरत रहय। पौलुस ह ओला देखे बर गीस अऊ पराथना करे के बाद ओकर ऊपर अपन हांथ रखिस अऊ ओला चंगा कर दीस। 9जब अइसने होईस, त दीप के बाकि बेमरहामन घलो आईन अऊ चंगा हो गीन। 10ओमन हमर बहुंत आदर-मान करिन अऊ जब हमन जाय बर तियार होएन, त यातरा बर हमन ला जऊन कुछू चीज के जरूरत रिहिस, ओ जम्मो चीज ओमन दीन।
11तीन महिना के बाद हमन सिकन्दरिया के एक पानी जहाज म चघेन, जऊन ला जुड़वां-देवता कहे जावय। ए जहाज ह ओ दीप म जड़काला काटत रिहिस। 12हमन ह सुरकूसा सहर म हबरेन अऊ उहां तीन दिन तक रूके रहेंन। 13उहां ले हमन पानी जहाज म रेगियुम सहर पहुंचेन। दूसर दिन दक्खिन दिग ले हवा चले लगिस अऊ ओकर आने दिन हमन पुतियुली सहर म आयेंन।
14उहां हमन ला कुछू भाईमन मिलिन, जऊन मन हमन ला ओमन के संग एक हप्ता रूके बर कहिन। एकर बाद, हमन रोम सहर गेन। 15जब रोम म भाईमन हमर आय के बारे म सुनिन, त ओमन हमर ले भेंट करे बर अप्पियुस के बजार अऊ तीन-सराय तक आईन। पौलुस ह ओ भाईमन ला देखके परमेसर ला धनबाद दीस अऊ उत्साहित होईस।
रोम म पौलुस के परचार
16जब हमन रोम हबरेन, त पौलुस ला एके झन रहे के अनुमती मिल गीस, पर एक झन सैनिक ओकर रखवारी करय। 17तीन दिन के बाद पौलुस ह यहूदीमन के अगुवामन ला बलाईस अऊ जब ओमन जुरिन, त ओमन ला कहिस, “ए मोर संगी यहूदीमन, मेंह हमर मनखेमन के बिरोध म या हमर पुरखामन के रीति-रिवाज के बिरोध म कुछू नइं करे हवंव। तभो ले मोला यरूसलेम म बंदी बनाके रोमीमन के हांथ म सऊंप दे गे हवय। 18ओमन मोर ले पुछ-ताछ करिन अऊ मोला छोंड़ दे बर चाहिन, काबरकि ओमन मिरतू दंड के लइक मोर म कोनो दोस नइं पाईन। 19पर जब यहूदीमन बिरोध करिन, त मेंह बाध्य होके महाराजा करा अपील करेंव, अइसने बात नो हय कि मेंह अपन मनखेमन ऊपर कोनो दोस लगाय चाहत रहेंव। 20एकरे कारन मेंह तुमन ला बलाय हवंव कि तुमन ले मिलंव अऊ बात-चीत करंव। काबरकि जेकर ऊपर इसरायल के मनखेमन आसा रखथें, ओकर खातिर मेंह ए संकली म जकड़े गे हवंव।”
21ओमन पौलुस ला कहिन, “हमन ला तोर बारे म यहूदिया ले कोनो चिट्ठी नइं मिले हवय, अऊ न तो हमर संगी यहूदीमन ले कोनो इहां आके तोर बारे म कुछू बताय हवंय, अऊ न ही कुछू खराप बात कहे हवंय। 22पर तोर का बिचार ए, हमन जाने बर चाहथन, काबरकि हमन जानथन कि जम्मो जगह मनखेमन ए पंथ के बिरोध म गोठियावत हवंय।”
23तब ओमन पौलुस बर एक दिन ठहराईन अऊ ओ दिन बहुंत मनखेमन पौलुस करा आईन। बिहनियां ले सांझ तक, ओह ओमन ला समझाईस अऊ परमेसर के राज के बारे म संदेस दीस। ओह मूसा के कानून अऊ अगमजानीमन के किताबमन ले यीसू के बारे म बतावत ओमन ला मनाय के कोसिस करिस। 24कुछू मनखेमन ओकर बात ला मान लीन, पर कुछू मनखेमन बिसवास नइं करिन। 25ओमन आपस म एक मत नइं होईन अऊ उहां ले जावन लगिन, जब पौलुस ह ए आखिरी बात कह लीस ― “पबितर आतमा ह यसायाह अगमजानी के दुवारा तुम्हर पुरखामन ला सच कहे हवय:
26जा अऊ ए मनखेमन ला कह,
‘तुमन सुनत तो रहिहू, फेर कभू नइं समझहू;
तुमन देखत तो रहिहू, फेर कभू नइं बुझहू।
27काबरकि ए मनखेमन के हिरदय ह कठोर हो गे हवय,
ओमन अपन कान ला बंद कर ले हवंय,
अऊ अपन आंखी ला मूंद ले हवंय।
नइं तो ओमन अपन आंखीमन ले देखतिन,
अपन कानमन ले सुनतिन, अपन हिरदय ले समझतिन,
अऊ ओमन मोर कोति लहुंटतिन
अऊ मेंह ओमन ला चंगा करतेंव।’28:27 यसायाह 6:9, 10”
28आखिर म पौलुस ह ए कहिस, “एकरसेति, मेंह चाहथंव कि तुमन जान लेवव कि परमेसर के उद्धार के संदेस आनजातमन करा पठोय गे हवय, अऊ ओमन एला सुनहीं।” 29(पौलुस के अइसने कहे के बाद, यहूदीमन आपस म बहुंत बिवाद करत उहां ले चल दीन।)
30पौलुस ह पूरा दू साल तक किराय के घर म रिहिस, अऊ ओह ओ जम्मो झन के सुवागत करय, जऊन मन ओकर ले मिले बर आवंय28:30 ए दू साल (ए डी 60-62) के दौरान, पौलुस ह कतको चिट्ठी लिखिस, जऊन म इफिसी, कुलुस्सी अऊ फिलिप्पी सहर के कलीसियामन ला लिखे चिट्ठी हवंय। एम फिलेमोन ला लिखे चिट्ठी घलो हवय।। 31ओह निधड़क होके अऊ बिगर रोक-टोक के परमेसर के राज के परचार करय अऊ परभू यीसू मसीह के बारे म सिखोवय।
On Shore at Malta
1When we were safe on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta. 2The people of the island were unusually kind. It was raining and cold. So they built a fire and welcomed all of us. 3Paul gathered some sticks and put them on the fire. A poisonous snake was driven out by the heat. It fastened itself on Paul’s hand. 4The people of the island saw the snake hanging from his hand. They said to one another, “This man must be a murderer. He escaped from the sea. But the female god Justice won’t let him live.” 5Paul shook the snake off into the fire. He was not harmed. 6The people expected him to swell up. They thought he would suddenly fall dead. They waited for a long time. But they didn’t see anything unusual happen to him. So they changed their minds. They said he was a god.
7Publius owned property nearby. He was the chief official on the island. He welcomed us to his home. For three days he took care of us. He treated us with kindness. 8His father was sick in bed. The man suffered from fever and dysentery. So Paul went in to see him. Paul prayed for him. He placed his hands on him and healed him. 9Then the rest of the sick people on the island came. They too were healed. 10The people of the island honored us in many ways. When we were ready to sail, they gave us the supplies we needed.
Paul Arrives in Rome
11After three months we headed out to sea. We sailed in a ship from Alexandria that had stayed at the island during the winter. On the front of the ship the figures of twin gods were carved. Their names were Castor and Pollux. 12We landed at Syracuse and stayed there for three days. 13From there we sailed to Rhegium. The next day the south wind came up. The day after that, we reached Puteoli. 14There we found some believers. They invited us to spend a week with them. At last we came to Rome. 15The believers there had heard we were coming. They traveled as far as the Forum of Appius and the Three Taverns to meet us. When Paul saw these people, he thanked God for them and was encouraged by them. 16When we got to Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself. But a soldier guarded him.
Paul Preaches in Rome
17Three days later Paul called a meeting of the local Jewish leaders. When they came, Paul spoke to them. He said, “My brothers, I have done nothing against our people. I have also done nothing against what our people of long ago practiced. But I was arrested in Jerusalem. I was handed over to the Romans. 18They questioned me. And they wanted to let me go. They saw I wasn’t guilty of any crime worthy of death. 19But the Jews objected, so I had to make an appeal to Caesar. I certainly did not mean to bring any charge against my own people. 20I share Israel’s hope. That is why I am held with this chain. So I have asked to see you and talk with you.”
21They replied, “We have not received any letters from Judea about you. None of our people here from Judea has reported or said anything bad about you. 22But we want to hear what your ideas are. We know that people everywhere are talking against those who believe as you do.”
23They decided to meet Paul on a certain day. At that time even more people came to the place where he was staying. From morning until evening, he told them about God’s kingdom. Using the Law of Moses and the Prophets, he tried to get them to believe in Jesus. 24Some believed what he said, and others did not. 25They didn’t agree with one another. They began to leave after Paul had made a final statement. He said, “The Holy Spirit was right when he spoke to your people long ago. Through Isaiah the prophet the Spirit said,
26“ ‘Go to your people. Say to them,
“You will hear but never understand.
You will see but never know what you are seeing.”
27These people’s hearts have become stubborn.
They can barely hear with their ears.
They have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes.
They might hear with their ears.
They might understand with their hearts.
They might turn, and then I would heal them.’ (Isaiah 6:9,10)
28-29“Here is what I want you to know. God has sent his salvation to the Gentiles. And they will listen!”
30For two whole years Paul stayed there in a house he rented. He welcomed all who came to see him. 31He preached boldly about God’s kingdom. He taught people about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one could keep him from teaching and preaching about these things.
