Los cuatro carros
1Alcé de nuevo la vista y vi ante mí cuatro carros de guerra que salían de entre dos montañas, las cuales eran de bronce. 2El primer carro era tirado por caballos rojos, el segundo por caballos negros, 3el tercero por caballos blancos y el cuarto por caballos pintos. Todos ellos eran caballos briosos. 4Pregunté al ángel que hablaba conmigo: «¿Qué significan estos carros, mi señor?».
5El ángel me respondió: «Estos son los cuatro espíritus6:5 espíritus. Alt. vientos. del cielo que salen después de haberse presentado ante el Señor de toda la tierra. 6El carro de los caballos negros va hacia el país del norte; el de los caballos blancos, hacia el occidente;6:6 hacia el occidente (lectura probable); tras ellos (TM). y el de los caballos pintos, hacia el país del sur».
7Esos briosos caballos estaban impacientes por recorrer la tierra. Y el ángel les dijo: «¡Vayan, recorran la tierra de un extremo al otro!». Y así lo hicieron.
8Entonces el ángel me llamó y me dijo: «Mira, los que van hacia el país del norte harán reposar mi Espíritu en ese país».
La corona para Josué
9La palabra del Señor vino a mí y me dijo: 10«Ve hoy mismo a la casa de Josías, hijo de Sofonías, que es adonde han llegado de Babilonia los exiliados Jelday, Tobías y Jedaías. Recíbeles 11la plata y el oro que traen consigo y, con ese oro y esa plata, haz una corona, la cual pondrás en la cabeza del sumo sacerdote Josué, hijo de Josadac. 12Y dirás a Josué de parte del Señor de los Ejércitos:
»“Este es aquel cuyo nombre es Renuevo,
pues echará renuevos de sus raíces
y reconstruirá el Templo del Señor.
13Él reconstruirá el Templo del Señor,
se revestirá de majestad
y se sentará a gobernar en su trono.
También un sacerdote se sentará en su propio trono
y entre ambos habrá armonía”.
14»La corona permanecerá en el Templo del Señor como un recordatorio para Jelday,6:14 Jelday (Siríaca; véase v. 10); Hélem (TM). Tobías, Jedaías y Hen,6:14 Hen. Alt. el piadoso, el. hijo de Sofonías. 15Si ustedes se esmeran en obedecer al Señor su Dios, los que están lejos vendrán para ayudar en la reconstrucción del Templo del Señor. Así sabrán que el Señor de los Ejércitos me ha enviado a ustedes».
1And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. 2In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; 3And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.6.3 bay: or, strong 4Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? 5And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.6.5 spirits: or, winds 6The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. 7And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth. 8Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
9¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 10Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah; 11Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest; 12And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:6.12 grow…: or, branch up from under him 13Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. 14And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD. 15And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
