ታቦቱ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ወጣ

1ዳዊት እንደ ገና ከእስራኤል የተመረጡ በአጠቃላይ ሠላሳ ሺሕ ሰዎች ሰበሰበ። 2እርሱና አብረውት ያሉት ሰዎች ሁሉ በታቦቱ ላይ ባለው ኪሩቤል ላይ በተቀመጠው በሰራዊት ጌታ በእግዚአብሔርም ስም6፥2 ዕብራይስጡ ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማል፤ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕም ግን፣ ስም የሚለውን አይጨምርም። የተጠራውን የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት ከዚያ ለማምጣት በይሁዳ ወዳለችው ወደ በኣል ሄዱ። 3የእግዚአብሔርንም ታቦት በአዲስ ሠረገላ ላይ አኑረው፣ በኰረብታ ላይ ካለው ከአሚናዳብ ቤት አውጥተው አመጡ፤ ሠረገላውን ይነዱ የነበሩትም የአሚናዳብ ልጆች ዖዛና አሒዮ ሲሆኑ፣ 4የእግዚአብሔርም ታቦት በሠረገላው ላይ ሆኖ6፥4 የሙት ባሕር ጥቅልልና አንዳንድ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕሞች ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማሉ፤ የማሶሬቲኩ ቅጅ ግን፣ ኰረብታው ላይ ካለው ከአቢናዳብ ቤት ከእግዚአብሔር ታቦት ጋር አመጡት ይላል።፣ አሒዮ ፊት ፊት ይሄድ ነበር። 5ዳዊትና የእስራኤል ቤት በሙሉ በዝማሬ፣ በበገና፣ በመሰንቆ፣ በከበሮ፣ በጸናጽልና በቃጭል ባለ ኀይላቸው ሁሉ በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ያሸበሽቡ ነበር።
6ወደ ናኮን ዐውድማ ሲደርሱም በሬዎቹ ስለ ተደናቀፉ፣ ዖዛ እጁን ዘርግቶ የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት ያዘ። 7ዖዛ በድፍረት ይህን ስላደረገ፣ የእግዚአብሔር ቍጣ በላዩ ላይ ነደደ፤ ስለዚህም እግዚአብሔር ቀሠፈው፤ እርሱም በእግዚአብሔር ታቦት አጠገብ እዚያው ሞተ።
8የእግዚአብሔር ቍጣ ዖዛንን ስለ ሰበረው፣ ዳዊት ተከፋ፤ ያም ቦታ እስከ ዛሬ ድረስ ፔሬዝ ዖዛ6፥8 ፔሬዝ ዖዛ ማለት ዑዛንን መሰባበር ማለት ነው ተብሎ ይጠራል።
9ዳዊት በዚያን ቀን እግዚአብሔርን ስለ ፈራ “የእግዚአብሔር ታቦት እንዴት ወደ እኔ ይመጣል?” አለ። 10ስለዚህ ዳዊት የእግዚአብሔር ታቦት አብሮት እንዲሆን ወደ ዳዊት ከተማ ይዞት ለመሄድ አልፈለገም፤ በዚህ ፈንታ አቅጣጫ ለውጦ የጌት ሰው ወደ ሆነው ወደ አቢዳራ ቤት ወሰደው። 11የእግዚአብሔርም ታቦት የጌት ሰው በሆነው በአቢዳራ ቤት ሦስት ወር ተቀመጠ፤ እግዚአብሔርም አቢዳራንና ቤተ ሰቡን ሁሉ ባረከ።
12በዚህ ጊዜ፣ “በእግዚአብሔር ታቦት ምክንያት የአቢዳራን ቤተ ሰውና ያለውን ሁሉ እግዚአብሔር ባረከለት” ብለው ለዳዊት ነገሩት። ስለዚህ ዳዊት ወደዚያው ወርዶ፣ የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት ከአቢዳራ ቤት ወደ ዳዊት ከተማ በታላቅ ደስታ አመጣው። 13እነዚያ የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት ተሸክመው የነበሩት ሰዎች ስድስት ርምጃ በሄዱ ቍጥር፣ አንድ በሬና አንድ የሠባ ጥጃ ይሠዋ ነበር። 14ዳዊትም የበፍታ ኤፉድ በወገቡ ታጥቆ በሙሉ ኀይሉ በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ይጨፍር ነበር። 15እንዲህ ባለ ሁኔታም ዳዊትና መላው የእስራኤል ቤት ሆይ እያሉና ቀንደ መለከቱን እየነፉ የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት አመጡ።
16የእግዚአብሔር ታቦት ወደ ዳዊት ከተማ ሲገባ፣ የሳኦል ልጅ ሜልኮል በመስኮት ሆና ትመለከት ነበር፤ ንጉሥ ዳዊት በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ሲዘልልና ሲያሸበሽብ ባየችው ጊዜ በልቧ ናቀችው።
17ከዚያም የእግዚአብሔርን ታቦት አምጥተው፣ ዳዊት በተከለለት ድንኳን ውስጥ አግብተው በተዘጋጀለት ስፍራ አኖሩት፤ ዳዊትም የሚቃጠል መሥዋዕትና የኅብረት መሥዋዕት6፥17 በትውፊት የሰላም መሥዋዕት ይባላል። በእግዚአብሔር ፊት አቀረበ። 18ዳዊት የሚቃጠለውን መሥዋዕትና የኅብረቱን መሥዋዕት ካቀረበ በኋላ ሕዝቡን በሰራዊት ጌታ በእግዚአብሔር ስም ባረከ። 19የእስራኤል ወገን ለሆነው ለሕዝቡ ሁሉ፣ ለወንዱም ለሴቱም ለእያንዳንዱ ሰው አንዳንድ እንጀራ፣ አንዳንድ ሙዳ ሥጋና አንዳንድ የዘቢብ ጥፍጥፍ ሰጠ፤ ከዚህ በኋላ ሁሉም ወደየቤቱ ሄደ።
20ዳዊት ቤተ ሰቡን ለመመረቅ ወደ ቤቱ በተመለሰ ጊዜ፣ የሳኦል ልጅ ሜልኮል ልትቀበለው ወጥታ፣ “ዛሬ የእስራኤል ንጉሥ በመኳንንቱ ገረዶች ፊት እንደ አንድ ተራ ሰው ዕራቍቱን መታየቱ ክብሩ ሆኖ ነው!” አለችው።
21ዳዊትም እንዲህ አላት፤ “አዎን ከአባትሽና በቤቱ ካሉት ሁሉ አስበልጦ በእግዚአብሔር ሕዝብ በእስራኤል ላይ ገዥ አድርጎ በመረጠኝ በእግዚአብሔር ፊት አሸብሽቤአለሁ፤ አሁንም አሸበሽባለሁ። 22እንዲያውም ከዚህ ይልቅ ራሴን በፊቱ ዝቅ አደርጋለሁ፤ ከዚህም የባሰ የተናቅሁ እሆናለሁ፤ ነገር ግን በጠቀስሻቸው ገረዶች ፊት እከብራለሁ።”
23የሳኦልም ልጅ ሜልኮል እስከሞተችበት ጊዜ ድረስ ልጅ አልወለደችም ነበር።
The Ark Brought to Jerusalem
1David again brought together all the able young men of Israel—thirty thousand. 2He and all his men went to Baalah6:2 That is, Kiriath Jearim (see 1 Chron. 13:6) in Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name,6:2 Hebrew; Septuagint and Vulgate do not have the Name. the name of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim on the ark. 3They set the ark of God on a new cart and brought it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart 4with the ark of God on it,6:3,4 Dead Sea Scrolls and some Septuagint manuscripts; Masoretic Text cart 4 and they brought it with the ark of God from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill and Ahio was walking in front of it. 5David and all Israel were celebrating with all their might before the Lord, with castanets,6:5 Masoretic Text; Dead Sea Scrolls and Septuagint (see also 1 Chron. 13:8) songs harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals.
6When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. 7The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down, and he died there beside the ark of God.
8Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.6:8 Perez Uzzah means outbreak against Uzzah.
9David was afraid of the Lord that day and said, “How can the ark of the Lord ever come to me?” 10He was not willing to take the ark of the Lord to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. 11The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed him and his entire household.
12Now King David was told, “The Lord has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the ark of God.” So David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing. 13When those who were carrying the ark of the Lord had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. 14Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, 15while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets.
16As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart.
17They brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and David sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before the Lord. 18After he had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord Almighty. 19Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women. And all the people went to their homes.
20When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!”
21David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord. 22I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”
23And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
