1መንፈሴ ደክሟል፣
ዘመኔ ዐጥሯል፤
መቃብርም ተዘጋጅቶልኛል።
2አላጋጮች ከብበውኛል፤
ትኵረቴም ትንኰሳቸው ላይ ነው።
3“እግዚአብሔር ሆይ፤ አንተ ተያዥ ሁነኝ፤
ከአንተ ሌላ ዋስ የሚሆነኝ ማን አለ?
4እንዳያስተውሉ ልባቸውን ይዘሃል፤
ስለዚህ ድል አትሰጣቸውም።
5ለጥቅም ሲል ወዳጁን የሚያወግዝ፣
የልጆቹ ዐይን ይታወራል።
6“እግዚአብሔር ለሰው ሁሉ መተረቻ፣
ፊቱ ላይ የሚተፋበት ሰውም አደረገኝ።
7ዐይኔ ከሐዘን የተነሣ ፈዘዘ፤
መላ አካሌም እንደ ጥላ ሆነ።
8ቅኖች በዚህ ነገር ይደነግጣሉ፤
ንጹሓንም በዐመፀኞች ላይ ይነሣሉ።
9ጻድቃን ግን በያዙት መንገድ ይጸናሉ፤
ንጹሕ እጅ ያላቸውም እየበረቱ ይሄዳሉ።
10“ነገር ግን እናንተ ሁላችሁ፣ እስቲ ተመልሳችሁ እንደ ገና ሞክሩ!
ከመካከላችሁ አንድም ጠቢብ አላገኝም።
11ዕድሜዬ ዐለቀ፤ ዕቅዴም ከሸፈ፤
የልቤም ሐሳብ ከንቱ ሆነ።
12እነዚህ ሰዎች ሌሊቱን ወደ ቀን ይለውጣሉ፤
ጨልሞም እያዩ፣ ‘ብርሃን ቀርቧል’ ይላሉ።
13ተስፋ የማደርገው ቤት መቃብር17፥13 በዕብራይስጡ፣ ሲኦል ይላል። ብቻ ከሆነ፣
መኝታዬንም በጨለማ ካነጠፍሁ፣
14መበስበስን፣ ‘አንተ አባቴ ነህ፤’
ትልንም፣ ‘አንቺ እናቴ’ ወይም ‘እኅቴ ነሽ’ ካልሁ፣
15ታዲያ፣ የእኔ ተስፋ ወዴት ነው?
ተስፋዬን የሚያይልኝስ ማን ነው?
16ወደ ሞት17፥16 በዕብራይስጡ፣ ሲኦል ይላል። ደጅ ይወርዳልን?
አብረንስ ወደ ትቢያ እንሄዳለንን?”
