መዝሙር 48
የእግዚአብሔር ተራራ ጽዮን
ዝማሬ፤ የቆሬ ልጆች መዝሙር።
1እግዚአብሔር ታላቅ ነው፤
በአምላካችን ከተማ በተቀደሰው ተራራ ከፍ ያለ ምስጋና ይገባዋል።
2የምድር ሁሉ ደስታ የሆነው፣
በሰሜን በኩል48፥2 ጻፎን የሚለው የዕብራይስጡ ቃል የተቀደሰ ተራራን ወይም የሰሜንን አቅጣጫ ሊያመለክት ይችላል። በርቀት የሚታየው፣
በከፍታ ላይ አምሮ የደመቀው የጽዮን ተራራ፣
የታላቁ ንጉሥ ከተማ ነው።
3እግዚአብሔር በአዳራሾቿ ውስጥ ሆኖ፤
ብርቱ ምሽግ እንደ ሆናት አስመስክሯል።
4እነሆ፤ ነገሥታት ተባብረው መጡ፤
አንድ ላይ ሆነውም ገሠገሡ።
5አይተውም ተደነቁ፤
ደንግጠውም ፈረጠጡ።
6ምጥ እንደ ያዛት ሴት፣
በዚያ ብርክ ያዛቸው።
7የምሥራቅ ነፋስ የተርሴስን መርከብ እንደሚሰባብር፣
አንተ አብረከረክሃቸው።
8እንደ ሰማን፣
በሰራዊት አምላክ ከተማ፣
በአምላካችን ከተማ፣
እንዲሁ አየን፤
እግዚአብሔር ለዘላለም ያጸናታል። ሴላ
9አምላክ ሆይ፤ በቤተ መቅደስህ ውስጥ ሆነን፣
ምሕረትህን እናስባለን።
10አምላክ ሆይ፤ ምስጋናህ እንደ ስምህ፣
እስከ ምድር ዳርቻ ይዘልቃል፤
ቀኝ እጅህም ጽድቅን የተሞላች ናት።
11ስለ ፍርድህ፣
የጽዮን ተራራ ሐሤት ታድርግ፤
የይሁዳ መንደሮችም ደስ ይበላቸው።
12በጽዮን አካባቢ ተመላለሱ፤ ዙሪያዋንም ሂዱ፤
የጥበቃ ግንቦቿንም ቍጠሩ፤
13ለሚቀጥለው ትውልድ ትናገሩ ዘንድ፣
መከላከያ ዕርዶቿን ልብ ብላችሁ ተመልከቱ፤
መጠበቂያ ማማዎቿን እዩ።
14ይህ አምላክ ከዘላለም እስከ ዘላለም አምላካችን ነውና፤
እስከ መጨረሻው የሚመራንም እርሱ ነው።

1Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise,
in the city of our God, his holy mountain.
2Beautiful in its loftiness,
the joy of the whole earth,
like the heights of Zaphon48:2 Zaphon was the most sacred mountain of the Canaanites. is Mount Zion,
the city of the Great King.
3God is in her citadels;
he has shown himself to be her fortress.
4When the kings joined forces,
when they advanced together,
5they saw her and were astounded;
they fled in terror.
6Trembling seized them there,
pain like that of a woman in labour.
7You destroyed them like ships of Tarshish
shattered by an east wind.
8As we have heard,
so we have seen
in the city of the Lord Almighty,
in the city of our God:
God makes her secure
for ever.48:8 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here.
9Within your temple, O God,
we meditate on your unfailing love.
10Like your name, O God,
your praise reaches to the ends of the earth;
your right hand is filled with righteousness.
11Mount Zion rejoices,
the villages of Judah are glad
because of your judgments.
12Walk about Zion, go round her,
count her towers,
13consider well her ramparts,
view her citadels,
that you may tell of them
to the next generation.
14For this God is our God for ever and ever;
he will be our guide even to the end.
