1لەدوای ئەمە پۆڵس ئەسینای بەجێهێشت و هاتە کۆرنسۆس. 2لەوێ جولەکەیەکی دۆزییەوە بە ناوی ئەکیلا، خەڵکی پۆنتۆس18:2 شوێنێکە دەکەوێتە کەناری دەریای ڕەش، لە باکووری تورکیای ئێستا. بڕوانە کردار 2:9 بوو، تازە لەگەڵ پریسکیلای ژنی لە ئیتالیاوە هاتبوون، چونکە کلودیۆس18:2 ئیمپراتۆری ڕۆمانی لە ساڵانی 41–55 ز. فەرمانی دابوو هەموو جولەکە ڕۆما بەجێبهێڵن. پۆڵس ئیتر چووە لایان 3و بەهۆی هاوپیشەییان لەلایان مایەوە و ئیشی دەکرد، چونکە پیشەیان چادر دروستکردن بوو. 4پۆڵس هەموو شەممەیەک لە کەنیشت گفتوگۆی دەکرد و هەوڵی دەدا قەناعەت بە جولەکە و یۆنانییەکان بهێنێت.
5کاتێک سیلا و تیمۆساوس لە مەکدۆنیاوە هاتن، پۆڵس خۆی بۆ خزمەتی پەیامی مەسیح تەرخان کرد و لەنێو جولەکەکاندا شایەتی دەدا کە عیسا مەسیحەکەیە. 6بەڵام کاتێک دژایەتییان کرد و جنێویان پێدا، کراسەکەی تەکاند و پێی گوتن: «خوێنی خۆتان لەسەر خۆتان! من بێتاوانم. لە ئێستاوە دەچمە لای ناجولەکەکان.»
7ئیتر پۆڵس کەنیشتەکەی بەجێهێشت و چووە ماڵی پیاوێکی خواپەرست بە ناوی تیتیۆس یوستۆس، کە ماڵەکەی لەتەنیشت کەنیشتەوە بوو. 8کریسپۆسی پێشەوای کەنیشتەکە خۆی و خاووخێزانی باوەڕیان بە عیسای خاوەن شکۆ هێنا. هەروەها زۆر لە خەڵکی کۆرنسۆس کە گوێیان لە پۆڵس بوو باوەڕیان هێنا و لە ئاو هەڵکێشران.
قسە بکە و بێدەنگ مەبە
9شەوێک مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆ لە بینینێکدا بە پۆڵسی فەرموو: «مەترسە، بەڵکو قسە بکە و بێدەنگ مەبە، 10چونکە من لەگەڵتدام، کەس هێرش ناکاتە سەرت بۆ ئەوەی ئازارت بدات، چونکە خەڵکێکی زۆرم هەیە لەم شارە.» 11ئیتر پۆڵس ساڵێک و شەش مانگ لەگەڵیان مایەوە و پەیامی خودای فێر دەکردن.
12لەو سەردەمەی گالیۆن18:12 فەرمانڕەوای ئەخایا لە ساڵانی 51–52 ز، بە دادپەروەری بەناوبانگە. فەرمانڕەوای ئەخایا18:12 باشووری یۆنان بوو، جولەکە هەموویان پێکەوە هێرشیان کردە سەر پۆڵس و بردیان بۆ دادگا، 13گوتیان: «ئەم پیاوە قەناعەتی بە خەڵک دەهێنا کە بە پێچەوانەی تەورات خودا بپەرستن.»
14کە پۆڵس خەریک بوو دەمی بکاتەوە، گالیۆن بە جولەکەکانی گوت: «جولەکەکان، ئەگەر بابەتەکە ناڕەوایی یان تاوانێکی خراپ بووایە، وەک هۆیەک گوێم لە سکاڵاتان دەگرت. 15بەڵام ئەگەر بابەتەکە لەسەر وشە و ناو و تەوراتتانە، خۆتان تەماشای بکەن. نامەوێت لەم بابەتانەدا ببمە دادوەر.» 16ئیتر لە دادگا دەریکردن. 17ئیتر هەموو خەڵک سۆستانیسی پێشەوای کەنیشتیان گرت و لەبەردەم دادگا لێیاندا، گالیۆنیش گوێی بەمە نەدا.
گەڕانەوەی پۆڵس بۆ ئەنتاکیا
18پۆڵس ڕۆژانێکی زۆر مایەوە، ئینجا ماڵئاوایی لە برایان کرد و لەگەڵ پریسکیلا و ئەکیلا بە دەریادا بەرەو سوریا ڕۆیشت. پاشان لە کەنخریا سەری تاشی، چونکە نەزری لەسەر بوو. 19کاتێک گەیشتنە ئەفەسۆس، پۆڵس پریسکیلا و ئەکیلای لەوێ بەجێهێشت و خۆی چووە کەنیشت و لەگەڵ جولەکەکان دەستی بە گفتوگۆ کرد. 20ئەوانیش داوایان لێکرد ماوەیەکی زیاتر لایان بمێنێتەوە، بەڵام ڕازی نەبوو. 21ئیتر ماڵئاوایی لێکردن و گوتی: «خودا حەز بکات دەگەڕێمەوە بۆ لاتان.» ئینجا لە ئەفەسۆسەوە بە دەریادا ڕۆیشت. 22لە بەندەری قەیسەرییە دابەزی، بەرەو ئۆرشەلیم سەرکەوت و سڵاوی لە کڵێسا کرد، ئینجا بەرەو خوار چوو بۆ ئەنتاکیا.
23پۆڵس ماوەیەک لە ئەنتاکیا مایەوە و پاشان ڕۆیشت و لە ناوچەکانی گەلاتیا و فریجیا شوێن بە شوێن دەگەڕا، ورەی هەموو قوتابییەکانی بەرز دەکردەوە.
24جولەکەیەکی خەڵکی ئەسکەندەریە بە ناوی ئەپۆلۆس هات بۆ ئەفەسۆس، زمان پاراو و لە نووسراوە پیرۆزەکان شارەزا بوو. 25فێری ڕێگای مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆ کرابوو، بە دڵگەرمی دەدوا و بە دروستی خەڵکی فێری پەیامی عیسا دەکرد، هەرچەندە تەنها لەئاوهەڵکێشانەکەی یەحیای دەزانی. 26بە چاونەترسییەوە دەستی کرد بە قسەکردن لە کەنیشت. کە پریسکیلا و ئەکیلا گوێیان لێی بوو، بانگهێشتی ماڵی خۆیان کرد و دروستتر ڕێگای خودایان بۆ ڕوونکردەوە.
27کاتێک ئەپۆلۆس حەزی کرد بچێت بۆ ناوچەی ئەخایا، برایان هانیان دا و بۆ قوتابییەکانیان نووسی پێشوازیی لێ بکەن. کاتێک هاتە ئەوێ، یارمەتییەکی زۆری ئەوانەی دا کە بەهۆی نیعمەتی خوداوە باوەڕیان هێنابوو، 28چونکە بە هێزەوە و بە گفتوگۆی ئاشکرا جولەکە بەرهەڵستکارەکانی بێدەنگ دەکرد، لە ڕێگەی نووسراوە پیرۆزەکانەوە دەیسەلماند کە عیسا مەسیحەکەیە.
In Corinth
1After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. 2There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, 3and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them. 4Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
5When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah. 6But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, ‘Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.’
7Then Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titius Justus, a worshipper of God. 8Crispus, the synagogue leader, and his entire household believed in the Lord; and many of the Corinthians who heard Paul believed and were baptised.
9One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10For I am with you, and no-one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.’ 11So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God.
12While Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews of Corinth made a united attack on Paul and brought him to the place of judgment. 13‘This man,’ they charged, ‘is persuading the people to worship God in ways contrary to the law.’
14Just as Paul was about to speak, Gallio said to them, ‘If you Jews were making a complaint about some misdemeanour or serious crime, it would be reasonable for me to listen to you. 15But since it involves questions about words and names and your own law – settle the matter yourselves. I will not be a judge of such things.’ 16So he drove them off. 17Then the crowd there turned on Sosthenes the synagogue leader and beat him in front of the proconsul; and Gallio showed no concern whatever.
Priscilla, Aquila and Apollos
18Paul stayed on in Corinth for some time. Then he left the brothers and sisters and sailed for Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila. Before he sailed, he had his hair cut off at Cenchreae because of a vow he had taken. 19They arrived at Ephesus, where Paul left Priscilla and Aquila. He himself went into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. 20When they asked him to spend more time with them, he declined. 21But as he left, he promised, ‘I will come back if it is God’s will.’ Then he set sail from Ephesus. 22When he landed at Caesarea, he went up to Jerusalem and greeted the church and then went down to Antioch.
23After spending some time in Antioch, Paul set out from there and travelled from place to place throughout the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.
24Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. 25He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervour18:25 Or with fervour in the Spirit and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately.
27When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers and sisters encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed. 28For he vigorously refuted his Jewish opponents in public debate, proving from the Scriptures that Jesus was the Messiah.
