번제단
1그는 아카시아나무로 제물을 태워 바칠 제단을 만들었다. 그것은 가로 세로가 각각 2.3미터로 네모가 반듯하고 높이는 1.4미터였다.
2그리고 제단 네 모퉁이에 뿔이 하나씩 나오도록 만들고 그 제단을 놋으로 쌌다.
3그런 다음 그는 그 단의 모든 기구, 곧 재를 담는 통과 부삽과 피를 담는 그릇과 고기 갈고리와 불 옮기는 그릇을 다 놋으로 만들었으며
4또 단에 쓸 놋그물을 만들어 단의 아래 언저리 밑에 놓아 그것이 단의 절반 높이로 올라오게 하고
5그 놋그물 네 모퉁이에 운반채를 꿸 고리 네 개를 만들었다.
6그리고 운반채는 아카시아나무로 만들어 놋으로 싸고
7그것을 단의 양쪽 고리에 꿰어 단을 운반할 수 있게 하였으며 그 단은 널빤지로 속이 비게 만들었다.
8그는 또 회막 입구에서 섬기는 여자들이 바친 놋거울로 넓적한 물통과 그 받침을 만들었다.
성막 뜰
9다음으로 그는 성막 뜰을 위해 고운 모시 포장을 만들었는데 뜰 남쪽을 위해서 포장의 길이를 45미터로 하고
1020개의 기둥을 만들었다. 그리고 그 기둥 받침은 놋으로 만들고 기둥의 갈고리와 가로대는 은으로 만들었다.
11또 맞은편인 북쪽을 위해서도 이와 똑같이 만들고
12서쪽을 위해서는 포장 길이를 22.5미터로 하였으며 10개의 기둥과 받침을 만들고 기둥의 갈고리와 가로대를 은으로 만들었다.
13그리고 출입구를 낼 뜰 동쪽 길이도 22.5미터가 되게 하였다.
14-15출입구 양쪽을 위해 각각 3개의 기둥 과 받침을 만들고 거기에 칠 6.8미터 길이의 포장을 만들었다.
16이와 같이 뜰 사면의 포장은 모두 고운 모시로 만들었으며
17기둥 받침은 놋으로 만들고 기둥의 갈고리와 가로대와 기둥머리 덮개는 은으로 만들었으며 뜰의 모든 기둥에는 은가로대를 꿸 수 있게 하였다.
18그리고 청색, 자색, 홍색 실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 수놓아 짜서 뜰의 출입구 막을 만들었으며 그 길이는 9미터, 높이는 뜰의 포장과 마찬가지로 2.3미터로 하였다.
19또 출입구 막을 달 수 있도록 4개의 기둥과 기둥 받침과 기둥머리 덮개, 그리고 가로대와 갈고리를 만들었는데 그 기둥 받침은 놋이며 갈고리와 기둥머리 덮개와 가로대는 은이었다.
20그리고 성막 말뚝과 뜰 사면의 포장 말뚝은 다 놋으로 만들었다.
성막을 만드는 데 쓰인 재료
21법궤를 안치할 성막을 세우는 데 쓴 재료의 품목은 모세의 명령을 받아 제사장 아론의 아들인 이다말이 계산하였으며
22유다 지파 사람 훌의 손자이며 우리의 아들인 브사렐은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 모든 것을 만들었다. 그리고
23그의 조력자인 단 지파 사람 아히사막의 아들 오홀리압은 재능이 있어서 조각하고 정교한 일을 하며 청색, 자색, 홍색 실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 수놓는 일을 하였다.
24성소를 짓고 그 모든 기구를 만드는 데 사용된 금은 38:24 히 ‘성소의 세겔대로 29달란트와 730세겔’약 톤이었다.
25그리고 인구 조사를 받은 백성들이 바친 은은 38:25 히 ‘성소의 세겔대로 100달란트와 1,775세겔’약 3,420킬로그램이었다.
2620세 이상 인구 조사를 받은 사람이 전부 603,550명이므로 인당 38:26 히 ‘성소의 세겔대로 은 한 베가 곧 반 세겔’약 6그램씩 낸 셈이었다.
27그 중에서 38:27 히 ‘은 100달란트’은 3,400킬로그램으로 성막 벽이 될 기둥과 지성소 앞의 휘장 기둥에 받칠 밑받침 100개를 만들었으며 그 밑받침 하나에는 은 34킬로그램씩 들었다.
28그리고 나머지 은 20킬로그램으로 기둥 갈고리와 기둥머리와 기둥 가로대를 만들었다.
29그 밖에 백성들이 바친 놋은 38:29 히 ‘70달란트와 2,400세겔’약 2,400킬로그램인데
30이것으로 성막 출입구 기둥 받침, 놋제단과 놋그물과 그 모든 기구,
31뜰 사면의 기둥 받침과 뜰 출입구 기둥 받침, 그리고 성막의 말뚝과 뜰 사면의 모든 말뚝을 만들었다.
The Altar of Burnt Offering
1They38:1 Or He; also in verses 2-9 built the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood, three cubits38:1 That is, about 4 1/2 feet or about 1.4 meters high; it was square, five cubits long and five cubits wide.38:1 That is, about 7 1/2 feet or about 2.3 meters long and wide 2They made a horn at each of the four corners, so that the horns and the altar were of one piece, and they overlaid the altar with bronze. 3They made all its utensils of bronze—its pots, shovels, sprinkling bowls, meat forks and firepans. 4They made a grating for the altar, a bronze network, to be under its ledge, halfway up the altar. 5They cast bronze rings to hold the poles for the four corners of the bronze grating. 6They made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze. 7They inserted the poles into the rings so they would be on the sides of the altar for carrying it. They made it hollow, out of boards.
The Basin for Washing
8They made the bronze basin and its bronze stand from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
The Courtyard
9Next they made the courtyard. The south side was a hundred cubits38:9 That is, about 150 feet or about 45 meters long and had curtains of finely twisted linen, 10with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and with silver hooks and bands on the posts. 11The north side was also a hundred cubits long and had twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, with silver hooks and bands on the posts.
12The west end was fifty cubits38:12 That is, about 75 feet or about 23 meters wide and had curtains, with ten posts and ten bases, with silver hooks and bands on the posts. 13The east end, toward the sunrise, was also fifty cubits wide. 14Curtains fifteen cubits38:14 That is, about 22 feet or about 6.8 meters long were on one side of the entrance, with three posts and three bases, 15and curtains fifteen cubits long were on the other side of the entrance to the courtyard, with three posts and three bases. 16All the curtains around the courtyard were of finely twisted linen. 17The bases for the posts were bronze. The hooks and bands on the posts were silver, and their tops were overlaid with silver; so all the posts of the courtyard had silver bands.
18The curtain for the entrance to the courtyard was made of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen—the work of an embroiderer. It was twenty cubits38:18 That is, about 30 feet or about 9 meters long and, like the curtains of the courtyard, five cubits38:18 That is, about 7 1/2 feet or about 2.3 meters high, 19with four posts and four bronze bases. Their hooks and bands were silver, and their tops were overlaid with silver. 20All the tent pegs of the tabernacle and of the surrounding courtyard were bronze.
The Materials Used
21These are the amounts of the materials used for the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the covenant law, which were recorded at Moses’ command by the Levites under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest. 22(Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made everything the Lord commanded Moses; 23with him was Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan—an engraver and designer, and an embroiderer in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen.) 24The total amount of the gold from the wave offering used for all the work on the sanctuary was 29 talents and 730 shekels,38:24 The weight of the gold was a little over a ton or about 1 metric ton. according to the sanctuary shekel.
25The silver obtained from those of the community who were counted in the census was 100 talents38:25 That is, about 3 3/4 tons or about 3.4 metric tons; also in verse 27 and 1,775 shekels,38:25 That is, about 44 pounds or about 20 kilograms; also in verse 28 according to the sanctuary shekel— 26one beka per person, that is, half a shekel,38:26 That is, about 1/5 ounce or about 5.7 grams according to the sanctuary shekel, from everyone who had crossed over to those counted, twenty years old or more, a total of 603,550 men. 27The 100 talents of silver were used to cast the bases for the sanctuary and for the curtain—100 bases from the 100 talents, one talent for each base. 28They used the 1,775 shekels to make the hooks for the posts, to overlay the tops of the posts, and to make their bands.
29The bronze from the wave offering was 70 talents and 2,400 shekels.38:29 The weight of the bronze was about 2 1/2 tons or about 2.4 metric tons. 30They used it to make the bases for the entrance to the tent of meeting, the bronze altar with its bronze grating and all its utensils, 31the bases for the surrounding courtyard and those for its entrance and all the tent pegs for the tabernacle and those for the surrounding courtyard.
