천 년 왕국
1나는 또 천사가 20:1 헬 ‘아뷔소스’ (밑 없는 깊은 구렁)무저갱의 열쇠와 큰 쇠사슬을 들고 하늘에서 내려오 는 것을 보았습니다.
2그 천사는 늙은 뱀, 마귀, 사탄이라고도 하는 용을 잡아 묶어서 천 년 동안
3무저갱에 가두고 봉인하여 그 기간이 끝날 때까지는 세상 나라들을 더 이상 유혹하지 못하게 하였습니다. 그러나 사탄은 천 년이 지난 후 반드시 잠시 동안 풀려날 것입니다.
4나는 또 여러 보좌를 보았는데 거기에는 심판하는 권세를 받은 사람들이 앉아 있었습니다. 그리고 예수님을 증거하고 하나님의 말씀을 전하다가 처형을 당한 순교자들의 영혼과 짐승이나 그의 우상에게 경배하지 않고 이마와 손에 짐승의 표를 받지 않은 사람들도 보았습니다. 그들은 살아나서 그리스도와 함께 천 년 동안 왕이 되어 다스릴 사람들입니다.
5그러나 나머지 죽은 사람들은 천 년이 끝나기까지 살아나지 못했습니다. 이것은 첫째 부활입니다.
6이 첫째 부활에 참여하는 사람은 행복하고 거룩한 사람입니다. 이들은 둘째 죽음의 지배를 받지 않고 하나님과 그리스도의 제사장이 되어 천 년 동안 그리스도와 함께 왕으로서 다스릴 것입니다.
7천 년이 끝나면 사탄은 풀려나와
8온 세상에 있는 나라들, 곧 곡과 마곡을 유혹하고 그들을 모아 전쟁을 일으킬 것이며 그 수는 바다의 모래와 같을 것입니다.
9그들은 넓은 땅으로 올라와 성도들의 진영과 하나님께서 사랑하시는 도시를 포위할 것이나 하늘에서 불이 내려와 그들을 멸망시킬 것입니다.
10그들을 유혹하던 마귀도 유황이 타는 불못에 던져졌습니다. 그 곳은 짐승과 거짓 예언자가 있는 곳이며 거기서 그들은 밤낮 끊임없이 고통을 당할 것입니다.
최후의 심판
11나는 또 크고 흰 보좌와 그 위에 앉아 계신 분을 보았습니다. 땅과 하늘도 그분 앞에서 사라져 흔적조차 찾아볼 수 없었습니다.
12그리고 나는 죽은 사람들이 모두 그 보좌 앞에 서 있고 책들이 펴져 있는 것을 보았습니다. 거기에는 또 다른 책이 한 권 있었는데 그것은 생명책이었습니다. 죽은 사람들은 그 책들에 기록된 자기들의 행위에 따라 심판을 받았습니다.
13바다와 죽음과 20:13 또는 ‘음부’ (헬 ‘하데스’)지옥도 죽은 사람들을 토해 냈으며 그들은 각자 자기들의 행위대로 심판을 받았습니다.
14그리고 죽음과 지옥도 불못에 던져졌는데 이것이 둘째 죽음입니다.
15누구든지 생명책에 이름이 기록되지 않은 사람은 이 불못에 던져졌습니다.
The Thousand Years
1I saw an angel coming down out of heaven. He had the key to the Abyss. In his hand he held a heavy chain. 2He grabbed the dragon, that old serpent. The serpent is also called the devil, or Satan. The angel put him in chains for 1,000 years. 3Then he threw him into the Abyss. He locked it and sealed him in. This was to keep Satan from causing the nations to believe his lies anymore. Satan will be locked away until the 1,000 years are ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
4I saw thrones. Those who had been given authority to judge were sitting on them. I also saw the souls of those whose heads had been cut off. They had been killed because they had spoken what was true about Jesus. They had also been killed because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its statue. They had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. They came to life and ruled with Christ for 1,000 years. 5This is the first resurrection. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1,000 years were ended. 6Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and of Christ. They will rule with him for 1,000 years.
Satan Is Judged
7When the 1,000 years are over, Satan will be set free from his prison. 8He will go out to cause the nations to believe lies. He will gather them from the four corners of the earth. He will bring Gog and Magog together for battle. Their troops are as many as the grains of sand on the seashore. 9They marched across the whole earth. They surrounded the place where God’s holy people were camped. It was the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and burned them up. 10The devil had caused them to believe lies. He was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur. That is where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will all suffer day and night for ever and ever.
The Dead Are Judged
11I saw a great white throne. And I saw God sitting on it. When the earth and sky saw his face, they ran away. There was no place for them. 12I saw the dead, great and small, standing in front of the throne. Books were opened. Then another book was opened. It was the book of life. The dead were judged by what they had done. The things they had done were written in the books. 13The sea gave up the dead that were in it. And Death and Hell gave up their dead. Each person was judged by what they had done. 14Then Death and Hell were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15Anyone whose name was not written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
