124:1 ‘그 주간의 첫날’안식일 다음날 이른 새벽에 여자들이 준비해 두었던 향료를 가지고 무 덤에 가 보니
2무덤을 막았던 돌은 이미 굴려져 있었다.
3그들이 무덤 안에 들어가 보았으나 주 예수님의 시체는 보이지 않았다.
4어떻게 된 일인지 몰라 당황하고 있는데 갑자기 빛나는 옷을 입은 두 사람이 나타나 그들 곁에 섰다.
5여자들이 무서워서 얼굴을 땅에 대자 그 사람들이 이렇게 말하였다. “왜 살아 계시는 분을 죽은 사람 가운데서 찾느냐?
6그분은 여기 계시지 않고 살아나셨다! 전에 갈릴리에 계실 때 너희에게 하신 말씀을 기억해 보아라.
7‘24:7 원문에는 ‘인자’ (사람의아들)나는 죄인들의 손에 넘어가 십자가에 못박히고 3일 만에 다시 살아나야 한다’ 고 하시지 않았느냐?”
8그제서야 그들은 예수님의 말씀이 생각나서
9무덤에서 돌아가 이 모든 일을 열한 제자와 그 밖의 여러 사람들에게 알렸는데
10그 여자들은 막달라 마리아와 요안나와 야고보의 어머니 마리아였다. 그리고 함께 있던 다른 여자들도 이 일을 사도들에게 알렸으나
11그들은 이 말이 허튼소리 같아서 믿지 않았다.
12그러나 베드로는 일어나 무덤으로 달려갔다. 허리를 굽혀 안을 들여다보니 모시 천만 놓여 있어서 그는 이상하게 생각하며 집으로 돌아갔다.
13바로 그 날 두 제자가 예루살렘에서 24:13 헬 ‘60스타디온’ (1스타디온 185미터)11킬로미터쯤 떨어진 엠마오라는 마을로 내려가면서
14최근에 일어난 모든 일에 대하여 서로 이야기하고 있었다.
15그들이 서로 이야기하며 토론하고 있을 때 예수님이 가까이 가셔서 그들과 동행하셨다.
16그러나 그들은 예수님을 보고도 알아보지 못했다.
17예수님이 그들에게 “너희가 길을 가면서 무슨 이야기를 하고 있느냐?” 하고 물으시자 그들은 슬픈 표정을 지으며 멈춰 섰다.
18그때 글로바라는 사람이 예수님께 “당신은 예루살렘에 있으면서 최근에 일어난 일을 혼자만 모르고 계십니까?” 하였다.
19그래서 예수님이 “무슨 일이냐?” 하고 다시 물으시자 그들은 이렇게 대답하였다. “나사렛 예수님에 대한 일입니다. 그분은 하나님과 모든 백성들 앞에서 행동이나 말씀에 능력 있는 예언자였습니다.
20그런데 대제사장들과 우리 24:20 또는 ‘관원들’지도자들이 그분을 넘겨 주어 사형 선고를 받게 하고 십자가에 못박았습니다.
21우리는 그분이 이스라엘을 구해 주실 분이라고 잔뜩 기대했었는데 말입니다. 어디 이뿐이겠습니까? 이런 일이 일어난 지 사흘이나 되었는데
22우리 가운데 어떤 여자들이 우리를 깜짝 놀라게 했습니다. 그들은 새벽에 무덤에 갔다가
23예수님의 시체는 보지 못하고 돌아와서 천사가 나타나 그분이 살아나셨다고 말하더라는 이야기를 해 주었습니다.
24그리고 우리와 함께 있던 몇 사람도 무덤에 가 보고 여자들이 말한 것이 사실임을 확인했으나 예수님은 보지 못했습니다.”
25그래서 예수님은 그들에게 “너희는 정말 미련하고 예언자들이 말한 모든 것을 더디 믿는구나!
26그리스도가 이런 고난을 받고 자기 영광에 들어가야 하지 않느냐?” 하시고
27모세와 모든 예언자들로부터 시작하여 자기에 관해서 모든 성경에 기록된 것을 그들에게 자세히 설명해 주셨다.
28그들이 가려고 하는 마을에 가까이 갔을 때 예수님이 더 가시려고 하시자
29그들이 강력하게 권하며 “저녁때가 되어 날이 이미 저물었습니다. 우리와 함께 묵었다가 가십시오” 하였다. 그래서 예수님은 그들과 함께 묵으려고 따라 들어갔다.
30예수님이 그들과 함께 식탁에 앉아 빵을 들고 감사 기도를 드리신 후에 떼어서 그들에게 주시자
31그들의 눈이 열려 예수님을 알아보았다. 그러자 예수님은 순식간에 사라져 보이지 않으셨다.
32그들은 “길에서 그분이 우리에게 말씀하시고 성경 말씀을 설명해 주실 때 우리 마음이 속에서 뜨겁지 않더냐?” 하고 서로 말하였다.
33그러고서 그들이 즉시 일어나 예루살렘으로 돌아가 보니 열한 제자가 다른 사람들과 함께 모여서
34주님이 정말 살아나 시몬에게 나타나셨다는 이야기를 하고 있었다.
35그래서 두 제자도 길에서 있었던 일과 예수님이 빵을 떼어 주실 때 그분을 알아보게 되었던 일을 이야기해 주었다.
36그들이 이야기를 하고 있을 때 예수님이 직접 그들 가운데 나타나셔서 24:36 원문에 ‘너희에게평강이있을지어다’ 로되어있는이인사말은어떤사본에는빠져있다.“다들 잘 있었느냐?” 하고 말씀하시자
37그들은 깜짝 놀라며 유령을 보는 것으로 생각하였다.
38그때 예수님이 그들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “왜 그렇게 24:38 또는 ‘근심하며’놀라며 의심하느냐?
39내 손과 발을 보아라. 나다! 자, 만져 보아라. 유령은 살과 뼈가 없으나 보다시피 나는 살과 뼈가 있다.”
40예수님이 이 말씀을 하시고 손과 발을 보이셨으나
41그들은 너무 기뻐서 오히려 믿지 못하고 이상하게 생각하였다. 그래서 예수님이 “여기 먹을 것이 좀 있느냐?” 하고 물으시자
42그들이 구운 생선 한 토막을 갖다 드렸다.
43예수님은 그 생선을 받아 그들이 보는 앞에서 잡수셨다.
44그러고서 예수님은 그들에게 “내가 너희와 함께 있을 때 모세의 율법책과 예언서와 시편에 나에 대하여 기록된 모든 것이 이루어져야 한다고 너희에게 말한 것이 바로 이것이다” 하시고
45그들의 마음을 열어 성경을 깨닫게 하시고
46이렇게 말씀하셨다. “성경에는 그리스도가 고난을 받고 죽었다가 3일 만에 다시 살아날 것과
47또 회개하면 죄를 용서받는다는 이 기쁜 소식이 예루살렘에서 시작하여 모든 민족에게 그리스도의 이름으로 전파될 것이 기록되어 있다.
48너희는 이 일에 대한 증인이다.
49내 아버지께서 약속하신 24:49 원문에는 ‘성령’ 이란말이없고그냥 ‘내아버지의약속하신것’ 으로되어있다. 성령을 내가 너희에게 보내겠다. 그러나 너희는 위에서 오는 능력을 받을 때까지 24:49 대부분의사본에는 ‘이성에’예루살렘에 머물러 있거라.”
50예수님은 그들을 데리고 베다니 근처로 가서 손을 들어 그들을 축복해 주셨다.
51예수님이 그들을 축복하시면서 그들을 떠나 하늘로 올리워 가시자
52그들은 예수님께 경배하고 벅찬 기쁨으로 예루살렘에 돌아와
53계속 성전에 머물러 있으면서 하나님을 찬양하였다.
Jesus Rises From the Dead
1It was very early in the morning on the first day of the week. The women took the spices they had prepared. Then they went to the tomb. 2They found the stone rolled away from it. 3When they entered the tomb, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4They were wondering about this. Suddenly two men in clothes as bright as lightning stood beside them. 5The women were terrified. They bowed down with their faces to the ground. Then the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6Jesus is not here! He has risen! Remember how he told you he would rise. It was while he was still with you in Galilee. 7He said, ‘The Son of Man must be handed over to sinful people. He must be nailed to a cross. On the third day he will rise from the dead.’ ” 8Then the women remembered Jesus’ words.
9They came back from the tomb. They told all these things to the 11 apostles and to all the others. 10Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them were the ones who told the apostles. 11But the apostles did not believe the women. Their words didn’t make any sense to them. 12But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. He bent over and saw the strips of linen lying by themselves. Then he went away, wondering what had happened.
On the Road to Emmaus
13That same day two of Jesus’ followers were going to a village called Emmaus. It was about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15As they talked about those things, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them. 16But God kept them from recognizing him.
17Jesus asked them, “What are you talking about as you walk along?”
They stood still, and their faces were sad. 18One of them was named Cleopas. He said to Jesus, “Are you the only person visiting Jerusalem who doesn’t know? Don’t you know about the things that have happened there in the last few days?”
19“What things?” Jesus asked.
“About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet. He was powerful in what he said and did in the sight of God and all the people. 20The chief priests and our rulers handed Jesus over to be sentenced to death. They nailed him to a cross. 21But we had hoped that he was the one who was going to set Israel free. Also, it is the third day since all this happened. 22Some of our women amazed us too. Early this morning they went to the tomb. 23But they didn’t find his body. So they came and told us what they had seen. They saw angels, who said Jesus was alive. 24Then some of our friends went to the tomb. They saw it was empty, just as the women had said. They didn’t see Jesus’ body there.”
25Jesus said to them, “How foolish you are! How long it takes you to believe all that the prophets said! 26Didn’t the Messiah have to suffer these things and then receive his glory?” 27Jesus explained to them what was said about himself in all the Scriptures. He began with Moses and all the Prophets.
28They approached the village where they were going. Jesus kept walking as if he were going farther. 29But they tried hard to keep him from leaving. They said, “Stay with us. It is nearly evening. The day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.
30He joined them at the table. Then he took bread and gave thanks. He broke it and began to give it to them. 31Their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. But then he disappeared from their sight. 32They said to each other, “He explained to us what the Scriptures meant. Weren’t we excited as he talked with us on the road?”
33They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the 11 disciples and those with them. They were all gathered together. 34They were saying, “It’s true! The Lord has risen! He has appeared to Simon!” 35Then the two of them told what had happened to them on the way. They told how they had recognized Jesus when he broke the bread.
Jesus Appears to the Disciples
36The disciples were still talking about this when Jesus himself suddenly stood among them. He said, “May you have peace!”
37They were surprised and terrified. They thought they were seeing a ghost. 38Jesus said to them, “Why are you troubled? Why do you have doubts in your minds? 39Look at my hands and my feet. It’s really me! Touch me and see. A ghost does not have a body or bones. But you can see that I do.”
40After he said that, he showed them his hands and feet. 41But they still did not believe it. They were amazed and filled with joy. So Jesus asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42They gave him a piece of cooked fish. 43He took it and ate it in front of them.
44Jesus said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you. Everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms must come true.”
45Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46He told them, “This is what is written. The Messiah will suffer. He will rise from the dead on the third day. 47His followers will preach in his name. They will tell others to turn away from their sins and be forgiven. People from every nation will hear it, beginning at Jerusalem. 48You have seen these things with your own eyes. 49I am going to send you what my Father has promised. But for now, stay in the city. Stay there until you have received power from heaven.”
Jesus Is Taken Up Into Heaven
50Jesus led his disciples out to the area near Bethany. Then he lifted up his hands and blessed them. 51While he was blessing them, he left them. He was taken up into heaven. 52Then they worshiped him. With great joy, they returned to Jerusalem. 53Every day they went to the temple, praising God.
