7Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.1.7 bid: Heb. sanctified, or, prepared 8And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.1.8 punish: Heb. visit upon 9In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit. 10And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills. 11Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off. 12And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.1.12 settled: Heb. curded, or, thickened 13Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.
14The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. 15That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, 16A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. 17And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. 18Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

Paghukom sa tibuok kalibutan sa adlaw sa Ginoo
2“Akong silhigon pahilayo ang tanang mga butang gikan sa nawong sa kalibutan,” nagaingon ang Ginoo. 3“Akong silhigon pahilayo ang tawo ug ang kahayupan akong silhigon ang mga langam sa kalangitan ug ang mga isda sa kadagatan—ang mga idolo nga maoy hinungdan nga ang mga dautan manga pandol. Kong ako nang gun-ubon ang katawhan sa dagway sa kalibutan,” nagaingon ang Ginoo.
4“Ituyhad ko ang akong mga kamot batok sa Juda ug batok sa nga nagpuyo sa Jerusalem. Akong gun-ubon ang matag-usa nga nahabilin sa nagsimba ni Baal niining dapita. Ang mga ngalan sa makidiyos-diyos nga kaparian— 5Sila nga nagyukbo diha sa mga atop nga nagsimba sa panon sa kabituonan, sila nga nakyukbo ug nagsaad sa Ginoo ug nagasaad usab kang Molek. 1:5 Molek: sa Hebreo, Malcam, nga mao pa ang lain nga ngalan ni Molec. 6Sila nga mitalikod sa pagsunod sa Ginoo ug wala magapangita sa Ginoo ug magapangutana kaniya.
7“Pagpakahilom kamo sa atubanga sa Makakagahum nga Ginoo, kay ang adlaw sa Ginoo haduol na. Ang Ginoo nagaandam ug mga halad; gibalaan niya ang iyang gidapit. 8Sa adlaw unya sa sakripisyo sa Ginoo, akong silotan ang mga opisyales ug ang mga anak sa hari ug ang tanang nga binistihan sa langyaw nga sapot. 9Niadto unyang adlawa akong silotan kadtong milikay sa pagtunob sa ganghaan, nga nagapuno sa templo sa ilang mga dios sa kadautan ug pagpamlimbong.
10“Niadto unyang adlawa,” nagaingon ang Ginoo, “may tuaw didto sa Ganghaang Isda, nagminatay gikan sa unang kuarter, ug ang dahunog sa grabing pagka-igo gikan sa kabukiran. 11Pagminatay, kamo nga nagpuyo sa distrito sa mga tindahan, ang tanan ninyong mga negosyanti wagtangon. Ang tanan nga nagpatigayon ug plata pagagun-obon.
12“Niadto unyang taknaa akong susihon ang Jerusalem uban sa mga lampara ug silotan ko kadtong wala magpakabana, nga nahisama lamang sa bino nga lawog na, nga naghunahuna nga ang Ginoo wala gayoy buhaton maayo man o dautan. 13Ang ilang bahandi makurakot, ilang kabalayan pagagub-on. Bisag maghimo silag balay dili sila makapuyo niin; bisag magtanom silag kaparasan, dili sila makainom sa bino niini.”
Ang Makalilisang nga Adlaw sa Pagsilot
14Ang dako nga adlaw sa Ginoo haduol-duol ug muabot sa madali Ang hilak sa adlaw sa Ginoo mapait; ang gamhanang manggugubat missinggit sa singgit alang sa gubat. 15Kana nga adlaw mao ang adlaw sa kapungot ang adlaw sa kasakit ug paghigwaos, adlaw sa kasamok ug pagkalumpag, adlaw sa kangitngit ug kaguol, adlaw sa mga panganod ug kangitngit. 16Adlaw sa trumpeta ug singgit sa gubat batok sa kinutaang mga siyudad ug batok sa mga masigkakilid nga tore.
17“Akong dadon ang tumang kasakit sa tanang katawhan nga magduhiraw sila sama kanila nga mga buta, tungod kay nakasala sila sa Ginoo. Ang ilang duha ipaagas sama sa mga abo ug ang sulod sa ilang ginhawaan sama sa tae. 18Wala sa plata o sa bulawan ang makaluwas kanila gikan sa adlaw sa kapungot sa Ginoo. Sa kalayo sa iyang pagka-abubhuan, ang tibuok kalibutan pagalamyon, kay siya magahimo ug hinanali nga katapusan sa tanang nagpuyo sa kalibutan.”
