1Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

12¶ And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. 13And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. 14And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.14.14 Judah…: or, thou also, O Judah shalt14.14 at: or, against 15And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
16¶ And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 17And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. 18And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.14.18 that have no: Heb. upon whom there is not 19This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.14.19 punishment: or, sin
20¶ In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar.14.20 bells: or, bridles 21Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
Confruntarea finală și venirea Domnului ca Împărat
1Iată, vine o zi a Domnului, când prada ta va fi împărțită în mijlocul tău.
2Voi aduna toate neamurile pentru a lupta împotriva Ierusalimului. Cetatea va fi cucerită, casele vor fi jefuite, iar femeile vor fi necinstite. Jumătate din cetate va pleca în exil, dar rămășița poporului nu va fi nimicită din cetate.
3Atunci Domnul va ieși și va lupta împotriva acestor neamuri, cum S‑a luptat în ziua bătăliei3 Cu referire la orice intervenție miraculoasă a lui Dumnezeu în istoria poporului Său.. 4În ziua aceea, picioarele Lui vor sta pe Muntele Măslinilor, care este în fața Ierusalimului, în partea dinspre răsărit. Muntele Măslinilor va fi despicat în două părți, de la răsărit la apus, și se va forma o vale foarte mare. Jumătate din munte se va deplasa astfel înspre nord, iar cealaltă jumătate înspre sud. 5Veți fugi atunci prin valea munților Mei, căci valea dintre munți se va întinde până la Ațel5 Locație neidentificată.. Veți fugi la fel cum ați fugit de cutremurul5 Sau: Valea munților Mei va fi blocată și se va întinde până la Ațel. Va fi blocată așa cum a fost la cutremurul. din zilele lui Uzia, regele lui Iuda.“ Atunci va veni Domnul Dumnezeul meu, și toți cei sfinți împreună cu Tine.
6În ziua aceea, nu va fi lumină; cei strălucitori vor îngheța.6 Sensul versetului este nesigur. Sau lumină; nu va fi nici rece, nici îngheț. 7Va fi o zi unică. Ea este cunoscută de Domnul. Nu va fi nici zi, nici noapte, iar seara va fi lumină.
8În ziua aceea, vor țâșni ape vii din Ierusalim, jumătate înspre Marea de Răsărit8 Marea Moartă. și jumătate înspre Marea de Apus8 Marea Mediterană., atât vara, cât și iarna.
9Domnul va fi Împărat peste tot pământul. În ziua aceea, va fi un singur Domn iar Numele Lui va fi singurul Nume.
10Întreaga țară, de la Gheva până la Rimon, în sudul Ierusalimului, va ajunge ca Araba10 Araba se referă la un platou arid (o stepă) însă de multe ori termenul este folosit pentru depresiunea (riftul) care se întinde de la Marea Galileei, prin Valea Iordanului, până la Golful Aqaba; ideea aici este că toată țara va ajunge ca un platou și numai Ierusalimul va fi înălțat.. Ierusalimul însă va fi înălțat și va rămâne pe locul lui, de la Poarta lui Beniamin până la locul Primei Porți10 Sau: locul vechii porți., până la Poarta Unghiului și de la Turnul lui Hananel până la teascurile regelui. 11Ei vor locui în el și niciodată nu va mai fi dat spre nimicire11 Ebr.: haram/herem, termen care se referă la un lucru, un animal sau o persoană care erau închinate irevocabil Domnului, fie cu scopul nimicirii, precum în cazul acesta, fie ca dar, precum în alte cazuri. Ceea ce era herem îi aparținea de acum Domnului, fiind interzis uzului profan.. Ierusalimul va fi locuit în siguranță.
12Iată care este urgia cu care va lovi Domnul toate popoarele care au luptat împotriva Ierusalimului: le va putrezi carnea stând încă în picioare, le vor putrezi ochii în orbite și le va putrezi limba în gură. 13În ziua aceea, Domnul va provoca o mare panică printre ei. Fiecare va apuca mâna semenului său și va ridica mâna împotriva semenului său. 14Iuda va lupta și el în Ierusalim și bogăția tuturor neamurilor din jur va fi strânsă: o mare cantitate de aur, argint și haine. 15Aceeași urgie va lovi și caii, catârii, cămilele, măgarii și toate animalele care vor fi în acele tabere.
16Toți cei rămași, din toate neamurile care au venit împotriva Ierusalimului, se vor sui an de an să se închine Împăratului, Domnul Oștirilor, și să celebreze Sărbătoarea Corturilor. 17Iar dacă vreunul din neamurile17 Lit.: clanurile, cu sensul de seminție, popor. pământului nu se va sui la Ierusalim să se închine Împăratului, Domnul Oștirilor, atunci peste ele nu va cădea ploaie. 18Dacă clanul Egiptului nu se va sui și nu va intra în Ierusalim, atunci nu va mai cădea ploaia peste el, ci va fi lovit de urgia cu care va lovi Domnul toate neamurile care nu se vor sui să celebreze Sărbătoarea Corturilor. 19Aceasta va fi pedeapsa19 Sau: păcatul; termenul ebraic implică atât păcatul, cât și pedeapsa pentru păcat. Egiptului și a tuturor neamurilor care nu se vor sui să celebreze Sărbătoarea Corturilor.
20În ziua aceea, inscripția „Sfânt pentru Domnul“ va fi până și pe clopoțeii cailor, iar oalele din Casa Domnului vor fi asemenea cupelor din fața altarului. 21Orice oală din Ierusalim și din Iuda va fi sfântă pentru Domnul Oștirilor și toți cei care vor veni să aducă jertfe vor lua unele din aceste oale și vor găti în ele. Și nu va mai fi niciun canaanit21 Termenul ebraic se mai poate traduce și cu negustor. în Casa Domnului Oștirilor, în ziua aceea.
