5¶ And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.10.5 the riders…: or, they shall make the riders on horses ashamed 6And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them. 7And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD. 8I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased. 9And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. 10I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them. 11And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away. 12And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.

1Pangayo sa Ginoo sang ulan sa tion sang inugtubo sang mga tanom,10:1 tion sang inugtubo sang mga tanom: sa English, springtime. kay siya ang nagahimo sang gal-om. Ginahatagan niya sang ulan ang mga tawo kag ang tagsa ka tanom sa latagon.
2Sa pagkamatuod, indi mapatihan ang mga dios-dios kag ang mga manugpakot. Nagasugid sila sang sayop nga kahulugan sang mga damgo. Wala sing pulos ang pagpabakod nga ginahatag nila. Gani nagatalang-talang ang katawhan sang Israel pareho sang karnero. Nabudlayan sila tungod nga wala sila sing pangulo.10:2 pangulo: sa literal, manugbantay sang karnero.
3Nagsiling ang Ginoo, “Akig gid ako sa mga nagapangulo10:3 mga nagapangulo: posible, mga taga-iban nga lugar nga nagapangulo. sa akon katawhan; silutan ko gid sila. Kay dumdumon ko ang akon mga karnero, nga amo ang katawhan sang Juda. Himuon ko sila nga daw pareho sa mga kabayo sa inaway nga madinalag-on. 4Magahalin sa ila ang mga manugdumala nga pareho sang pamusod nga bato, palpal sang tolda, kag pana nga para sa inaway. 5Magaisa ang katawhan sang Juda kag mangin pareho sila sa makusog nga mga soldado nga magapierdi sang ila mga kaaway nga daw sa lutak nga ginatasak-tasak sa karsada. Magapakig-away sila tungod kaupod nila ako, kag pierdihon nila ang mga manugkabayo.
6“Pabakuron ko ang katawhan sang Juda kag pagaluwason ko ang katawhan sang Israel.10:6 Israel: sa Hebreo, Jose, nga nagarepresentar sang ginharian sang Israel. Pabalikon ko sila sa ila lugar tungod nga naluoy ako sa ila. Kag tungod nga ako ang Ginoo nga ila Dios, sabton ko ang ila pangamuyo. Gani daw pareho lang nga wala ko sila ginsikway. 7Ang katawhan sang Israel10:7 katawhan sang Israel: sa Hebreo, Efraim. Tan-awa ang footnote sa 9:10a. mangin pareho sa makusog nga mga soldado. Mangin malipayon sila pareho sa tawo nga nakainom sang bino. Madumduman sang ila mga kaliwat ini nga kadalag-an kag magakalipay sila tungod sang akon ginhimo. 8Pagatawgon ko ang akon katawhan kag tipunon ko sila. Hilwayon ko gid sila, kag magadamo sila pareho sang una. 9Bisan ginlapta ko sila sa iban nga mga nasyon, madumduman nila ako didto. Magapabilin sila nga buhi pati ang ila mga kabataan, kag magapauli sila sa ila lugar. 10Papaulion ko sila halin sa Egipto kag Asiria, kag paestaron ko sila sa ila lugar hasta sa Gilead kag sa Lebanon. Magasulubra sila sa ila nga duta. 11Magatabok sila sa dagat nga mabalod pero magauntat ang mga balod. Kag bisan ang Suba sang Nilo magamala. Ang ginapabugal sang Asiria paubuson kag ang gahom sang Egipto madula. 12Pabakuron ko ang akon katawhan tungod nga ara sila sa akon, kag magasunod sila sa akon. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini.”
