Song of Solomon 5 – KJV & NEN

King James Version

Song of Solomon 5:1-16

1I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.5.1 yea…: or, and be drunken with loves

2¶ I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night. 3I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them? 4My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.5.4 for him: or, (as some read) in me 5I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.5.5 sweet…: Heb. passing, or, running about 6I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer. 7The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me. 8I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.5.8 that ye: Heb. what, etc

9¶ What is thy beloved more than another beloved, O thou fairest among women? what is thy beloved more than another beloved, that thou dost so charge us? 10My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.5.10 the chiefest: Heb. a standard-bearer 11His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven.5.11 bushy: or, curled 12His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.5.12 fitly…: Heb. sitting in fulness, that is, fitly placed, and set as a precious stone in the foil of a ring 13His cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet flowers: his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.5.13 sweet flowers: or, towers of perfumes 14His hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires. 15His legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold: his countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars. 16His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.5.16 mouth: Heb. palate

bibi arusi wangu;

25:2 Efe 5:275:2 Mit 8:4; Wim 6:9; 4:7; 1:15Nililala lakini moyo wangu ulikuwa macho.

Sikiliza! Mpenzi wangu anabisha:

“Nifungulie, dada yangu, mpenzi wangu,

hua wangu, asiye na hitilafu.

Kichwa changu kimeloa umande,

na nywele zangu manyunyu ya usiku.”

3Nimevua joho langu:

je, ni lazima nivae tena?

Nimenawa miguu yangu:

je, ni lazima niichafue tena?

4Mpenzi wangu aliweka mkono wake kwenye tundu la komeo;

moyo wangu ulianza kugonga kwa ajili yake.

5Niliinuka kumfungulia mpenzi wangu,

mikono yangu ikidondosha manemane,

vidole vyangu vikitiririka manemane,

penye vipini vya komeo.

65:6 Wim 6:1-2; 3:15:6 Hos 5:15; Mao 3:8Nilimfungulia mpenzi wangu,

lakini mpenzi wangu alishaondoka;

alikuwa amekwenda zake.

Moyo wangu ulishuka kwa kuondoka kwake.

Nilimtafuta lakini sikumpata.

Nilimwita lakini hakunijibu.

75:7 Wim 3:3Walinzi walinikuta

walipokuwa wakifanya zamu za ulinzi mjini.

Walinipiga, wakanijeruhi,

wakaninyangʼanya joho langu,

hao walinzi wa kuta!

85:8 Wim 2:7; 1:14; 2:5Enyi binti za Yerusalemu, ninawaagiza:

kama mkimpata mpenzi wangu,

mtamwambia nini?

Mwambieni ninazimia kwa mapenzi.

9Je, mpendwa wako ni bora kuliko wengine namna gani,

wewe uliye mzuri kupita wanawake wote?

Je, mpendwa wako ni mzuri kuliko wengine, namna gani,

hata unatuagiza hivyo?

105:10 Za 45:2Mpenzi wangu anangʼaa, tena ni mwekundu,

wa kuvutia miongoni mwa wanaume kumi elfu.

nywele zake ni za mawimbi

na ni nyeusi kama kunguru.

125:12 Mwa 49:12; Wim 1:15Macho yake ni kama ya hua

kandokando ya vijito vya maji,

aliyeogeshwa kwenye maziwa,

yaliyopangwa kama vito vya thamani.

13Mashavu yake ni kama matuta ya vikolezo

yakitoa manukato.

Midomo yake ni kama yungiyungi

inayodondosha manemane.

145:14 Ay 28:6Mikono yake ni fimbo za dhahabu

iliyopambwa kwa krisolitho.

Mwili wake ni kama pembe ya ndovu iliyongʼarishwa

iliyopambwa na yakuti samawi.
