1Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:66.1 all…: Heb. all the earth
2Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
3Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.66.3 submit…: or, yield feigned obedience: Heb. lie
4All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
6He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
9Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.66.9 holdeth: Heb. putteth
10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
12Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.66.12 wealthy: Heb. moist
13I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.66.14 uttered: Heb. opened
15I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.66.15 fatlings: Heb. marrow
16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
19But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
سرود شكرگزاری
1ای همهٔ مردم روی زمين، برای خدا فرياد شادی سر دهيد! 2نام پرشكوه او را با سرود بستاييد و عظمت او را بيان كنيد! 3به خدا گوييد: «چه حيرت‌انگيز است كارهای تو! قدرت تو دشمنانت را از پای در خواهد آورد. 4تمام مردم جهان تو را پرستش خواهند كرد، تو را خواهند ستود و به نام تو سرود خواهند خواند.»
5بياييد كارهای خدا را مشاهده كنيد؛ ببينيد چه كارهای شگفت‌انگيز برای انسانها انجام داده است. 6او دريا را به خشكی تبديل كرد و اجداد ما با پای پياده از ميان آن عبور نمودند. ايشان به سبب اين كار خدا شاديها كردند.
7خداوند تا ابد با قدرت حكمرانی می‌كند و رفتار همهٔ قومها را زير نظر دارد. پس ای مردم سركش، بر ضد او قيام نكنيد. 8ای قومها، خدای ما را ستايش كنيد! بگذاريد آواز ستايش شما شنيده شود. 9او زندگی ما را از خطر می‌رهاند و نمی‌گذارد پاهايمان بلغزد.
10ای خدا، تو ما را امتحان كرده‌ای؛ مانند نقره‌ای كه در كوره می‌گذارند تا پاک شود، ما را پاک نموده‌ای. 11ما را در دام گرفتار ساختی و بارهای سنگين بر دوش ما نهادی. 12دشمنان ما را بر ما مسلط گرداندی و گذاشتی از آب و آتش عبور كنيم، اما سرانجام ما را به مكانی آوردی كه در آن وفور نعمت است.
13قربانیهای سوختنی به خانهٔ تو خواهم آورد تا نذرهای خود را ادا نمايم. 14بلی، هنگامی كه در زحمت بودم نذر كردم و اينک آن را ادا خواهم كرد. 15گوسفند قربانی خواهم كرد و گوساله و بز تقديم خواهم نمود و آنها را بر قربانگاه خواهم سوزاند تا بوی خوب آنها به سوی تو زبانه كشد.
16ای همهٔ خداترسان، بياييد و بشنويد تا به شما بگويم كه خداوند برای من چه كرده است. 17فرياد برآوردم و از او كمک خواستم و او را ستايش نمودم. 18اگر گناه را در دل خود نگه می‌داشتم، خداوند دعايم را نمی‌شنيد. 19اما او به دعای من توجه نموده و آن را مستجاب كرده است!
20سپاس بر خدايی كه دعای مرا بی‌جواب نگذاشته و رحمت خود را از من دريغ نكرده است.
