Psalms 64 – KJV & NVI

King James Version

Psalms 64:1-10

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

2Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

3Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

4That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

5They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?64.5 matter: or, speech64.5 of…: Heb. to hide his snares

6They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.64.6 they…: or, we are consumed by that which they have throughly searched64.6 a diligent…: Heb. a search searched

7But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.64.7 shall they…: Heb. their wound shall be

8So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

9And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

10The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Salmo 64:1-10

Salmo 64Sal 64 En el texto hebreo 64:1-10 se numera 64:2-11.

Al director musical. Salmo de David.

1Escucha, oh Dios, la voz de mi queja;

protégeme del temor al enemigo.

2Escóndeme de esa pandilla de malhechores,

de esa caterva de malvados.

3Afilan su lengua como espada

y lanzan como flechas palabras ponzoñosas.

4Emboscados, disparan contra el íntegro;

le tiran sin temor y sin aviso.

5Unos a otros se animan en sus planes malvados,

calculan cómo tender sus trampas;

y hasta dicen: «¿Quién las verá?».

6Maquinan injusticias y dicen:

«¡Hemos tramado un plan perfecto!».

¡Cuán incomprensibles son

la mente y el corazón humano!

7Pero Dios les disparará sus flechas

y sin aviso caerán heridos.

8Su propia lengua será su ruina

y quien los vea se burlará de ellos.

9La humanidad entera sentirá temor:

proclamará las proezas de Dios

y meditará en sus obras.

10Que se regocijen en el Señor los justos;

que busquen refugio en él;

¡que lo alaben todos los de corazón sincero!
