To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
1Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:49.1 for: or, of
2Both low and high, rich and poor, together.
3My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
4I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
5Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
6They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
7None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
8(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
9That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.
10For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.
11Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.49.11 all…: Heb. generation and generation
12Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.
13This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.49.13 approve…: Heb. delight in their mouth
14Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.49.14 beauty: or, strength49.14 in the grave from…: or, the grave being an habitation to every one of them

16Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
17For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

بۆ سەرۆکی کۆمەڵی مۆسیقاژەنان، زەبوورێکی کوڕانی قۆرەح.
1ئەی هەموو گەلان، ئەمە ببیستن،
ئەی هەموو دانیشتووانی زەوی، گوێ بگرن،
2پایەبەرز و پایەنزم،
هەژار و دەوڵەمەند پێکەوە.
3دەمم باسی دانایی دەکات،
لێکدانەوەی دڵم تێگەیشتنە.
4گوێ بۆ پەند شل دەکەم،
بە قیسارە مەتەڵەکەم ڕوون دەکەمەوە.
5بۆ لە ڕۆژانی تەنگانە بترسم،
کاتێک فێڵبازە خراپەکارەکان دەورم دەگرن؟
6ئەوانەن کە پشت بە سامانیان دەبەستن،
شانازی بە دەوڵەمەندییەکەیان دەکەن.
7کەس ناتوانێت ژیانی براکەی بکڕێتەوە،
یان کەفارەتی ئەو بداتە خودا.
8کڕینەوەی ژیان زۆر گران دەکەوێت،
هەرگیز ناتوانرێت نرخی تەواوی بدرێت،
9تاکو بۆ هەتاهەتایە بە زیندووێتی بمێنێتەوە و
گۆڕ نەبینێت.
10بێگومان هەموو دەبینن کە تەنانەت کەسە داناکانیش دەمرن،
نەزانەکان و گێلەکان وەک یەک لەناودەچن و
سامانیان بۆ ئەوانی دیکە جێدەهێڵن.
11گۆڕیان ماڵی هەتاهەتاییانە،
شوێنی نیشتەجێبوونیانە نەوە دوای نەوە،
لەگەڵ ئەوەشدا زەویشیان بە ناوی خۆیانەوە ناودەنا.
12مرۆڤ هەرچەندە دەوڵەمەند بێت نامێنێت،
وەک ئەو ئاژەڵانە وایە کە لەناودەچن.
13ئەمە ڕێگای ئەوانەیە کە پشت بە خۆیان دەبەستن،
ئەوانەش کە دوایان دەکەون بە قسەکانیان پەسەندی دەکەن.49:13 لە دەقی عیبری لێرە و لە ئایەتی 15، وشەی سەلاە هەیە کە لەوانەیە ئاماژەیەکە بۆ وەستانی مۆسیقا و خوێندنەوە.
14ئەوانە وەک مەڕن و چارەنووسیان مەرگە،
مەرگ دەبێتە شوانیان.
لە بەیانیدا سەرڕاستەکان فەرمانڕەوایەتییان دەکەن،
شێوەیان دادەڕزێت،
جیهانی مردووان دەبێتە ماڵیان.
15بەڵام خودا گیانم لە چنگی جیهانی مردووان دەکڕێتەوە،
چونکە بۆ لای خۆی دەمبات.
16ترست لێ نەنیشێت ئەگەر یەکێک دەوڵەمەند بوو،
شکۆمەندی ماڵەکەی زیاد بوو،
17چونکە کە مرد هیچ لەگەڵ خۆی نابات،
شکۆیەکەی بەدوایەوە نابێت.
18لەگەڵ ئەوەی کاتێک زیندووە خۆی بە بەختەوەر دەزانێت،
ستایش دەکرێیت کاتێک سەرکەوتوو بیت.
19بەڵام ئەویش بۆ نەوەی باوباپیرانی دەڕوات،
ئەوانەی هەتاهەتایە چاویان بە ڕووناکی ناکەوێتەوە.
20مرۆڤ دەوڵەمەندیش بێت ئەگەر تێنەگات،
وەک ئەو ئاژەڵانە وایە کە لەناودەچن.
