4I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
5Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
6And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

10But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
11By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
12And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
13Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
دعا برای رستگاری
1خوشا به حال كسانی كه به فكر فقيران و درماندگان هستند، زيرا هنگامی كه خود در زحمت بيفتند خداوند به ياری ايشان خواهد شتافت. 2او ايشان را حفظ كرده، زنده نگاه خواهد داشت. آنان در دنيا سعادتمند خواهند بود و خدا نخواهد گذاشت كه به دست دشمنانشان بيفتند. 3به هنگام بيماری، خداوند ايشان را شفا می‌بخشد و سلامتی از دست رفته را به آنان باز می‌گرداند.
4گفتم: «خداوندا، نسبت به تو گناه كرده‌ام؛ بر من رحم كن و مرا شفا ده!» 5دشمنانم با كينه و نفرت دربارهٔ من می‌گويند: «كی می‌ميرد و نامش گم می‌شود؟» 6هنگامی كه به عيادتم می‌آيند، وانمود می‌كنند كه دوستدارانم هستند، و حال آنكه از من نفرت دارند و قصدشان سخن‌چينی و شايعه‌سازی است. 7همهٔ دشمنانم پشت سرم حرف می‌زنند و درباره‌ام بد می‌انديشند. 8آنها می‌گويند: «به مرض كشنده‌ای مبتلا شده؛ از بستر بيماری بلند نخواهد شد.» 9حتی بهترين دوستم نيز كه به او اعتماد داشتم و نان و نمک مرا می‌خورد، دشمن من شده است.
10ای خداوند، بر من رحم كن و مرا بر پا بدار تا جواب آنان را بدهم. 11يقين دارم كه از من راضی هستی و نخواهی گذاشت دشمنانم بر من پيروز شوند. 12مرا به سبب درستكاريم حفظ خواهی كرد و تا ابد در حضورت نگاه خواهی داشت.
13سپاس بر خداوند، خدای اسرائيل، از حال تا ابد. آمين! آمين!
