1The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
3For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
4He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
5His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

7For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
11For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

13Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

Para o mestre de música. Salmo davídico.
1O rei se alegra na tua força, ó Senhor!
Como é grande a sua exultação pelas vitórias que lhe dás!
2Tu lhe concedeste o desejo do seu coração
e não lhe rejeitaste o pedido dos seus lábios. Pausa
3Tu o recebeste dando-lhe ricas bênçãos,
e em sua cabeça puseste uma coroa de ouro puro.
4Ele te pediu vida, e tu lhe deste!
Vida longa e duradoura.
5Pelas vitórias que lhe deste, grande é a sua glória;
de esplendor e majestade o cobriste.
6Fizeste dele uma grande bênção para sempre
e lhe deste a alegria da tua presença.
7O rei confia no Senhor:
por causa da fidelidade do Altíssimo ele não será abalado.
8Tua mão alcançará todos os teus inimigos;
tua mão direita atingirá todos os que te odeiam.
9No dia em que te manifestares
farás deles uma fornalha ardente.
Na sua ira o Senhor os devorará,
um fogo os consumirá.
10Acabarás com a geração deles na terra,
com a sua descendência entre os homens.
11Embora tramem o mal contra ti
e façam planos perversos, nada conseguirão;
12pois tu os porás em fuga
quando apontares para eles o teu arco.
13Sê exaltado, Senhor, na tua força!
Cantaremos e louvaremos o teu poder.
