1The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
3For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
4He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
5His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
6For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.21.6 made him most…: Heb. set him to be blessings21.6 made him exceeding…: Heb. make him glad with joy
7For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
11For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
12Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.21.12 shalt thou…: or, thou shalt set them as a butt21.12 back: Heb. shoulder
13Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
Salmo 21Salmo 21 Ang titulo sa Hebreo: Ang kanta nga ginsulat ni David. Sa direktor sang manugkanta.
Pagdayaw Tungod sang Pagdaog
1Nagakalipay ang imo pinili nga hari, Ginoo,
tungod kay ginhatagan mo siya sang kusog.
Puwerte ang iya kalipay tungod kay ginpadaog mo siya.
2Ginhatag mo sa iya ang iya ginahandom;
wala mo siya pagdaluki sa iya ginapangayo.
3Ginbaton mo siya kag ginhatagan sang maayo nga mga butang.
Ginkoronahan mo siya sang korona nga puro gid bulawan.
4Nangayo siya sa imo sang dugang nga kabuhi,
kag ginhatagan mo siya sang malawig gid nga kabuhi.21:4 malawig gid nga kabuhi: ukon, kabuhi nga wala sing katapusan.
5Tungod sang imo pagpadaog sa iya nangin bantog kag dungganon gid siya.
6Ginhatagan mo siya sang mga pagpakamaayo nga magapadayon hasta san-o.
Ginlipay mo gid siya sang imo presensya,
7kay nagasalig siya sa imo, Ginoo, nga Labing Mataas nga Dios.
Kag tungod sang imo paghigugma sa iya indi siya mapukan.
8Ang imo gahom amo ang magapierdi sang tanan mo nga mga kaaway.
9Kon magpakita ka na laglagon mo sila
kag mangin pareho sila sa nagadabadaba nga hurnohan.
Sa imo nga kaakig ipalamon mo sila sa kalayo.
10Pamatyon mo ang tanan nila nga kaliwat,
kag wala gid sing may mabilin sa ila.
11Nagaplano sila sing malain kontra sa imo,
pero indi gid sila magmadinalag-on.
12Kay magapalalagyo sila kon makita nila nga handa ka na sa pagsilot sa ila, nga daw ginabinat mo kag ginapuntirya sa ila ang imo pana.
13Dalayawon ka, Ginoo, tungod sang imo kusog.
Magakanta kami sang mga pagdayaw tungod sang imo gahom.
