1Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.16.1 Michtam: or, A golden Psalm
2O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.16.4 hasten…: or, give gifts to another
5The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.16.5 of mine…: Heb. of my part
6The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.16.9 rest…: Heb. dwell confidently
10For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Salmo 16Salmo 16 Ang titulo sa Hebreo: Ang “miktam” ni David.
Pangamuyo nga may Pagsalig sa Dios
1O Dios, tipigi ako,
kay sa imo ako nagapangayo sang proteksyon.
2Ikaw ang akon Ginoo,
kag sa imo lang naghalin ang tanan nga maayo nga nabaton ko.
3Kon parte sa imo matutom nga katawhan sa duta sang Israel nga mga maayo gid,
dako ang akon kalipay sa ila.
4Pero ang mga nagadangop sa mga dios-dios nagadamo ang ila mga kalisod.
Indi ako magpakig-upod sa ila nga paghalad sang dugo sa mga dios-dios,
kag indi gid ako magmitlang sang mga ngalan sang sina nga mga dios-dios.
5Ginoo, ikaw ang tanan para sa akon.
Ginahatag mo ang tanan ko nga ginakinahanglan.
Ang akon kabuhi ara sa imo mga kamot.
6Daw ano kanami sang imo mga ginhatag sa akon.
Huo, maayo gid ang akon mga nabaton sa imo.
7Ginadayaw ko ikaw, Ginoo, kay ginalaygayan mo ako.
Bisan kon gab-i ang akon konsensya nagatudlo sa akon.
8Permi ko ikaw ginahunahuna, Ginoo.
Kag tungod nga ara ka sa akon tupad, indi ako matublag.
9Amo ina nga malipayon ako;
ang akon kabuhi puno sang kalipay.
Kag magakabuhi ako nga luwas sa katalagman,
10kay indi mo ako pagpabay-an nga magkadto sa lugar sang mga patay.
Indi mo pagtugutan nga madunot sa lulubngan ang imo matutom nga alagad.
11Ginatudluan mo ako kon paano ko maangkon ang padayon nga kabuhi.
Tungod sang imo presensya, malipayon gid ako;
wala sing katapusan ang akon kalipay sa tupad mo.
