A Psalm of David.
1Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
7He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
8The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.103.8 plenteous…: Heb. great in mercy
9He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.103.11 as…: Heb. according to the height of the heaven
12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
14For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.103.16 it is…: Heb. it is not
17But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
18To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.103.20 that excel…: Heb. mighty in strength
21Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
محبت خداوند
1ای جان من، خداوند را ستايش كن! ای تمام وجود من، نام مقدس او را ستايش كن! 2ای جان من، خداوند را ستايش كن و تمام مهربانيهای او را فراموش مكن! 3او تمام گناهانم را می‌آمرزد و همهٔ مرضهايم را شفا می‌بخشد. 4جان مرا از مرگ می‌رهاند و با محبت و رحمت خود مرا بركت می‌دهد! 5جان مرا با نعمتهای خوب سير می‌كند تا همچون عقاب، جوان و قوی بمانم.
6خداوند عدالت را اجرا می‌كند و حق مظلومان را به آنها می‌دهد. 7او روشهای خود را بر موسی آشكار نمود و اعمال شگفت‌انگيز خود را به بنی‌اسرائيل نشان داد.
8خداوند بخشنده و مهربان است؛ او دير غضب و پر محبت می‌باشد. 9خداوند هميشه توبيخ و تنبيه نمی‌كند و تا ابد خشمگين نمی‌ماند. 10او با ما مطابق گناهانمان عمل ننموده و آنچنان كه سزاوار بوده‌ايم، ما را به سزای اعمالمان نرسانده است. 11زيرا به اندازه‌ای كه آسمان از زمين بلندتر است، به همان اندازه رحمت خداوند بر كسانی كه او را گرامی می‌دارند عظيم می‌باشد! 12به اندازه‌ای كه مشرق از مغرب دور است به همان اندازه خداوند گناهان ما را از ما دور كرده است! 13همانطوری كه يک پدر فرزندانش را دوست دارد، همچنان خداوند نيز كسانی را كه او را گرامی می‌دارند دوست دارد.
14خداوند از سرشت و فطرت ما آگاه است و می‌داند كه خاک هستيم.
15عمر انسان مانند علف و همچون گل صحرا می‌باشد، 16كه روزی باد بر آن می‌وزد و از بين می‌رود و ديگر در آن مكانی كه بوده، هرگز ديده نمی‌شود. 17-18اما رحمت خداوند بر كسانی كه او را گرامی می‌دارند، هميشگی است و او عدالت را در حق فرزندان آنانی كه عهد و احكام او را حفظ می‌كنند، بجا می‌آورد.
19خداوند تخت فرمانروايی خود را در آسمانها قرار داده است و از آنجا بر همهٔ موجودات حكمرانی می‌كند. 20ای همهٔ فرشتگان توانا كه گوش به فرمان خداوند هستيد تا دستوراتش را اجرا نماييد، او را ستايش كنيد! 21ای همه نيروهای آسمانی، ای خدمتگزاران خداوند، او را سپاس گوييد!
22ای همه مخلوقات خداوند، در هر جايی كه هستيد، او را بستاييد!
ای جان من، خداوند را ستايش كن!
