1My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. 2Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. 3Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. 4Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: 5That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.

24¶ Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. 25Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. 26For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. 27Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

7Ndinaona pakati pa anthu opusa,
pakati pa anyamata,
mnyamata wina wopanda nzeru.
8Iye ankayenda njira yodutsa pafupi ndi nyumba ya mkaziyo,
kuyenda molunjika nyumba ya mkaziyo.
9Inali nthawi yachisisira madzulo,
nthawi ya usiku, kuli mdima.
10Ndipo mkaziyo anadzakumana naye,
atavala ngati munthu wachiwerewere wa mtima wonyenga.
11(Mkaziyo ndi wolongolola ndiponso nkhutukumve,
iye ndi wosakhazikika pa khomo.
12Mwina umupeza pa msewu, mwina umupeza pa msika,
ndipo amadikirira munthu pa mphambano iliyonse).
13Tsono amagwira mnyamatayo ndi kupsompsona
ndi nkhope yake yopanda manyazi amamuwuza kuti,
14“Ndinayenera kupereka nsembe zachiyanjano.
Lero ndakwaniritsa malumbiro anga.
15Choncho ndinabwera kudzakumana nawe;
ndinkakufunafuna ndipo ndakupeza!
16Pa bedi panga ndayalapo
nsalu zosalala zokongola zochokera ku Igupto.
17Pa bedi panga ndawazapo zonunkhira
za mure, mafuta onunkhira a aloe ndi sinamoni.
18Bwera, tiye tikhale malo amodzi kukondwerera chikondi mpaka mmawa;
tiye tisangalatsane mwachikondi!
19Mwamuna wanga kulibe ku nyumbako;
wapita ulendo wautali:
20Anatenga thumba la ndalama
ndipo adzabwera ku nyumba mwezi ukakhwima.”
21Ndi mawu ake onyengerera amamukakamiza mnyamatayo;
amukopa ndi mawu ake oshashalika.
22Nthawi yomweyo chitsiru chimamutsatira mkaziyo
ngati ngʼombe yopita kukaphedwa,
monga momwe mbawala ikodwera mu msampha,
23mpaka muvi utalasa chiwindi chake,
chimakhala ngati mbalame yothamangira mʼkhwekhwe,
osadziwa kuti moyo wake uwonongeka.
24Tsono ana inu, ndimvereni;
mvetsetsani zimene ndikunena.
25Musatengeke mtima ndi njira za mkazi ameneyu;
musasochere potsata njira zake.
26Paja iye anagwetsa anthu ambiri;
wapha gulu lalikulu la anthu.
27Nyumba yake ndi njira yopita ku manda,
yotsikira ku malo a anthu akufa.
