1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. 3And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 4And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee. 5When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward. 6When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys. 7But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm. 8And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations. 9And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies. 10Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.
11¶ And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony. 12And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran. 13And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
14¶ In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. 15And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar. 16And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon. 17And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.
18¶ And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur. 19And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. 20And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel. 21And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.10.21 the other: that is, the Gershonites and the Merarites
22¶ And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud. 23And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. 24And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.
25¶ And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. 26And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran. 27And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan. 28Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.10.28 Thus: Heb. 29¶ And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses’ father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel. 30And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred. 31And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes. 32And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.
33¶ And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them. 34And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp. 35And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee. 36And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.10.36 many thousands: Heb. ten thousand thousands
두 개의 은나팔
1여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
2“너는 은을 두들겨 나팔 두 개를 만 들고 그것을 불어 백성을 소집하며 행진하게 하여라.
3나팔 둘을 길게 불면 모든 백성이 성막 입구 네 앞에 모이게 하고
4나팔을 하나만 불면 10:4 또는 ‘천부장된 족장들’각 집안의 대표자들만 모이게 하라.
5나팔을 짧게 불면 동쪽에 진을 친 지파들이 행진하고
6다시 짧게 불면 남쪽에 진을 친 지파들이 행진하게 하여라. 이와 같이 행진 신호는 나팔을 짧게 불고
7소집 신호는 길게 불도록 하라.
8나팔은 아론의 자손인 제사장들만 불어야 한다. 이것은 너희가 대대로 지켜야 할 규정이다.
9“너희가 약속의 땅에 도착하여 너희를 대적하는 원수들과 싸우러 나갈 때 이 나팔을 불어라. 그러면 너희 하나님 나 여호와가 너희를 기억하고 너희를 원수들에게서 구원해 주겠다.
10또 기쁜 날과 명절과 매월 초하루에 번제물과 화목제물을 드릴 때에도 나팔을 불어라. 그러면 내가 너희를 기억할 것이다. 나는 너희 하나님 여호와이다.”
시내산을 떠나는 이스라엘 백성
11이스라엘 백성이 이집트를 떠나온 지 2년째가 되는 해 2월 20일에 구름이 성막에서 떠오르자
12그들은 시나이 광야에서 출발하여 그 구름이 바란 광야에 멈출 때까지 구름을 따라 행진하였다.
13이것은 여호와께서 모세에게 행진 명령을 내린 후 첫번째 행진이었는데
14이 행렬 선두에는 유다 지파 진영에 속한 자들이 기를 앞세우고 암미나답의 아들 나손이 인솔하는 유다 지파와
15수알의 아들 느다넬이 인솔하는 잇사갈 지파와
16헬론의 아들 엘리압이 인솔하는 스불론 지파가 순서대로 행진하였다.
17그러고 나서 성막이 걷혀지고 게르손 자손과 므라리 자손이 성막을 메고 그 뒤를 따라 출발하였다.
18그 뒤에는 르우벤 지파 진영에 속한 자들이 기를 앞세우고 스데울의 아들 엘리술이 인솔하는 르우벤 지파와
19수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이 인솔하는 시므온 지파와
20드우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이 인솔하는 갓 지파가 순서대로 행진하였다.
21그 뒤에는 고핫 자손이 성막의 거룩한 기구들을 메고 행진하였으며 이들이 다음 진영에 도착하기 전에 성막이 세워졌다.
22그 다음은 에브라임 지파 진영에 속한 자들이 기를 앞세우고 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마가 인솔하는 에브라임 지파와
23브다술의 아들 가말리엘이 인솔하는 므낫세 지파와
24기드오니의 아들 아비단이 인솔하는 베냐민 지파가 순서대로 행진하였다.
25그리고 제일 뒤에는 단 지파 진영에 속한 자들이 기를 앞세우고 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이 인솔하는 단 지파와
26오그란의 아들 바기엘이 인솔하는 아셀 지파와
27에난의 아들 아히라가 인솔하는 납달리 지파가 순서대로 행진하였다.
28이상은 이스라엘 각 지파가 진영별로 행진한 대열의 순서이다.
29어느 날 모세는 미디안 사람 이드로의 아들인 그의 처남 호밥에게 말하였다. “지금 우리는 약속의 땅으로 가고 있으니 처남도 함께 가세. 우리가 자네를 잘 돌봐 주겠네. 여호와께서는 이스라엘 백성에게 복을 주시겠다고 약속하셨다네.”
30“아니오, 가지 않겠습니다. 나는 10:30 또는 ‘내 고향 내 친척에게로’친척들이 있는 고향으로 돌아가야 합니다.”
31“그러지 말고 함께 가세. 처남은 이 광야 길을 잘 알고 있으니 우리의 좋은 안내자가 될 걸세.
32만일 처남이 우리와 함께 가면 여호와께서 우리에게 주시는 모든 좋은 것을 처남도 함께 누리게 될 것이네.”
33이스라엘 백성은 시내산을 떠나 3일 동안 행진하면서 법궤를 앞세우고 진 칠 곳을 찾았는데
34그들이 행진할 때 낮에는 여호와의 구름이 그들 위에 있었다.
35모세는 법궤가 떠날 때마다 “여호와여, 일어나셔서 주의 원수들을 흩으시고 주를 미워하는 자들이 주 앞에서 도망하게 하소서” 하고 외쳤으며
36법궤가 멈출 때마다 “오! 여호와여, 수백만의 이스라엘 백성에게 돌아오소서” 하였다.
