1And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities. 2And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
3¶ Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants. 4And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Ei erau responsabili cu lucrarea de la Templu, 23căci exista o poruncă a regelui cu privire la cântăreți, care reglementa activitatea lor zilnică.
24Petahia, fiul lui Meșezabel, dintre urmașii lui Zerah, fiul lui Iuda, era mâna dreaptă a regelui în ce privește toate problemele legate de popor.

31Urmașii lui Beniamin s‑au așezat începând din Gheva, în Micmaș, în Aia, în Betel și în satele dimprejurul lui, 32în Anatot, în Nob, în Anania, 33în Hațor, în Rama, în Ghitaim, 34în Hadid, în Țeboim, în Nebalat, 35în Lod, în Ono și în valea Harașim.35 Sau: Meșteșugarilor.
