1Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! 2It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
3¶ Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. 4And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. 5And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. 6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. 7But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? 8And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? 9Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. 10So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
11¶ And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. 15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
20¶ And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. 22And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. 26And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 31In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 32Remember Lot’s wife. 33Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. 34I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 35Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 36Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 37And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

1ある日のこと、イエスは弟子たちにお話しになりました。「罪を犯させようとする誘惑は、いつもあなたがたにつきまとっています。誘惑する者はいまわしいものです。 2これら小さい者の心につまずきを与える者は、首に大きな石をくくりつけられて、海に投げ込まれるほうがましです。 3いいですか。友達が罪を犯したら、注意してあげなさい。そして悔い改めたら、赦してあげなさい。 4あなたに対して日に七度罪を犯しても、そのたびに『悪かった。赦してくれ』とあやまるなら、赦してあげなさい。」
からし種ほどの信仰
5ある日、使徒たちが主に、「もっと信仰が強くなりたいのですが、どうしたらいいでしょう」と尋ねました。 6イエスの答えはこうでした。「ほら、あそこに桑の木があるでしょう。ほんの小さな、からし種ほどの信仰でもあれば、あの木を根こそぎ海の中へ投げ込むことぐらい簡単なことです。そう命令しさえすれば、たちまちそのとおりになります。
7-9ところで、畑を耕すか、羊の番をするかして一日中働いた奴隷が、帰って来るなりどっかと腰をおろし、食事を始めるなどということがあるでしょうか。まず主人の食事のしたくをし、給仕をすませ、それから自分の食事をするのが普通です。しかも、そうしたからといって取り立てて感謝されるわけでもありません。当然のことをしただけです。 10あなたがたがわたしに従って来るのも同じことです。『私たちはただ、するべきことを果たしているにすぎないのです』と言いなさい。」
11一行はエルサレムを目指して進み、途中サマリヤとガリラヤの境を通りました。 12ある村に入ると、十人のツァラアトの人がずっと向こうのほうから、 13「イエス様！ どうぞお助けを！」と大声で叫んでいました。 14イエスはそちらに目をやり、「さあ、祭司のところへ行き、ツァラアトが治ったことを見せてきなさい」と言われました。彼らがそのとおり出かけて行くと、途中でツァラアトはきれいに治りました。 15-16その中の一人が、イエスのところに引き返し、足もとにひれ伏して、「ありがとうございます。おっしゃるとおり、すっかりよくなりました。神様に栄光がありますように」と言いました。実はこの人は、ユダヤ人から軽蔑されていたサマリヤ人でした。 17「はて、十人全部がいやされたはずだが、ほかの九人はどうしたのですか。 18神を賛美するために帰って来たのは、この外国人のほかにはいないのですか。」 19こう言ってから、イエスはその男に、「さあ、立って帰りなさい。あなたの信仰があなたを治したのです」と言われました。
準備をして待て
20ある日、パリサイ人たちがイエスに尋ねました。「神の国はいったい、いつ来るのですか。」イエスは答えて言われました。「神の国は、目に見える形では来ません。 21『ここに来た』とか、『あそこに来た』とか言えるものではないのです。はっきり言いましょう。神の国は、あなたがたの中にあるのです。」
22そのあとで、イエスは神の国についてもう一度、弟子たちにお話しになりました。「まもなく、一日でいいから、わたしといっしょにいたいと願っても、もういっしょにいられない日が来ます。 23その時にはまた、『主が帰って来られた。ここにおられるぞ』とか、『いや、あそこだ』というふうに、情報が乱れ飛ぶでしょう。そんなうわさを信じたり、彼らの扇動に乗ってあとを追いかけたりしてはいけません。 24わたしが帰って来る時には、はっきりわかるからです。ちょうど、いなずまが空の端から端までひらめき渡るように、一目瞭然なのです。 25しかしその前に、わたしはひどい苦しみを受け、この国の人々全部から、つまはじきにされなければなりません。 26わたしが帰って来る時、人々は、かつてのノアの時代のように、神のことなどにはまるで無関心でしょう。 27ノアが箱舟に入り、洪水が押し寄せ、何もかも滅ぼし尽くすまで、人々は飲んだり、食べたり、結婚したり、いつもと変わらない生活をしていました（創世6章）。 28また、ロトの時代の人々とも比べることができるでしょう。当時も、人々はいつもと同じように、食べたり飲んだり、売ったり買ったり、植えたり建てたりの生活をしていましたが、 29ロトがソドムの町を抜け出した日に、火と硫黄が天から降り注ぎ、一人残らず滅ぼされてしまったのです（創世19章）。 30わたしが再び来る時も同じです。その瞬間まで、すべてがいつものとおりなのです。 31その日、外出中の者は、荷物を取りに家へ戻ってはいけません。畑で働いている者も、家に帰ってはいけません。 32ロトの妻がどんな目に会ったか、思い出しなさい。 33だれでも、いのちにしがみつく者はそれを失い、いのちを捨てる者がかえってそれを自分のものにできるのです。 34よく言っておきます。その夜二人の男が一つの部屋に寝ていると、一人は天に上げられ、一人は残されます。 35-36家事をしている二人の女のうち、一人は天に上げられ、一人は残されます。また、畑でいっしょに働いている二人の男も同様です。」 37「主よ。どこでそんなことが起こるのですか。」「死体のあるところに、はげたかも集まるのです。」
