1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the LORD. 3Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the LORD. 4What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;22.4 running…: Heb. running of the reins 5Or whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath; 6The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water. 7And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food. 8That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the LORD. 9They shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them.
10There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing. 11But if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat.22.11 with…: Heb. with the purchase of his money 12If the priest’s daughter also be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.22.12 a stranger: Heb. a man a stranger 13But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
14¶ And if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing. 15And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the LORD; 16Or suffer them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do sanctify them.22.16 suffer…: or, lade themselves with the iniquity of trespass in their eating
17¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 18Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering; 19Ye shall offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats. 20But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you. 21And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.22.21 sheep: or, goats 22Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD. 23Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.22.23 lamb: or, kid 24Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land. 25Neither from a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.
26¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 27When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the LORD. 28And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.22.28 ewe: or, she goat 29And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will. 30On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the LORD. 31Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD. 32Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you, 33That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.
Las ofrendas del Señor
1El Señor le ordenó a Moisés 2que les dijera a Aarón y a sus hijos: «Tratad con mucho respeto las ofrendas sagradas que me consagran los israelitas, para no profanar mi santo nombre. Yo soy el Señor».
3También le ordenó decirles: «Si alguno de los descendientes de Aarón está ritualmente impuro y se acerca a las ofrendas que los israelitas consagran al Señor, será eliminado de mi presencia. Yo soy el Señor.
4»Si un descendiente de Aarón padece de alguna enfermedad infecciosa en la piel,22:4 alguna enfermedad infecciosa en la piel. Tradicionalmente lepra. o de derrame seminal, deberá abstenerse de comer de las ofrendas sagradas, hasta que se purifique. Cualquiera que toque un objeto contaminado por el contacto con un cadáver, o que tenga derrame de semen, 5o que toque algún animal u hombre impuros, cualquiera que sea la impureza, 6quedará impuro hasta el anochecer. Por tanto, se abstendrá de comer de las ofrendas sagradas. Lavará su cuerpo con agua, 7y al ponerse el sol quedará puro. Después de esto podrá comer de las ofrendas sagradas, porque son su alimento. 8No deberá comer nada que sea hallado muerto o despedazado por las fieras, pues de lo contrario quedará impuro. Yo soy el Señor.
9»Los sacerdotes cumplirán con mis instrucciones, y así no pecarán ni sufrirán la muerte por haber profanado las ofrendas. Yo soy el Señor, que santifico a los sacerdotes.
10»Nadie ajeno a la familia sacerdotal comerá de las ofrendas sagradas, ni tampoco comerá de ellas ningún huésped del sacerdote, ni su jornalero. 11Pero sí podrá comer de ellas el esclavo comprado por un sacerdote, y el esclavo nacido en casa del mismo. 12Si la hija de un sacerdote se casa con alguien que no sea sacerdote, no podrá comer de las ofrendas recibidas como contribución. 13Pero, si queda viuda o divorciada y, sin haber tenido hijos, regresa a la casa de su padre como cuando era soltera, entonces sí podrá comer del alimento de su padre. Pero nadie ajeno a la familia sacerdotal está autorizado para comerlo.
14»Si inadvertidamente alguien come de una ofrenda sagrada, deberá restituir la ofrenda al sacerdote y añadirle una quinta parte de su valor.
15»No deberán los sacerdotes profanar las ofrendas sagradas que los israelitas presentan al Señor, 16porque al permitir que las coman harán recaer sobre sí mismos un pecado que requiere un sacrificio por la culpa. Yo soy el Señor, que los santifico».
Sacrificios inaceptables
17El Señor le ordenó a Moisés 18que les dijera a Aarón y a sus hijos, y a todos los israelitas: «Si alguno de vosotros, sea israelita o extranjero residente en Israel, presenta un holocausto al Señor para cumplir un voto, o como ofrenda voluntaria, 19para que le sea aceptado deberá presentar un macho sin defecto de entre el ganado vacuno, ovino o cabrío. 20No presentéis ningún animal que tenga algún defecto, porque no se os aceptará.
21»Si alguien, para cumplir un voto especial o como ofrenda voluntaria, le presenta al Señor ganado vacuno u ovino como sacrificio de comunión, para que el animal le sea aceptado no deberá tener ningún defecto. 22No deberéis presentarle al Señor, como ofrenda por fuego, animales ciegos, cojos, mutilados, llagados, sarnosos ni tiñosos. No ofreceréis en el altar ningún animal así. 23Podréis presentar como ofrenda voluntaria una res o una oveja deforme o enana, pero tal ofrenda no será aceptada en cumplimiento de un voto.
24»No ofreceréis al Señor ningún animal con los testículos lastimados, magullados, cortados o arrancados. No haréis esto en vuestra tierra. 25No recibiréis de manos de un extranjero animales así para ofrecerlos como alimento de vuestro Dios. No se os aceptarán porque son deformes y tienen defectos».
26El Señor le dijo a Moisés: 27«Cuando nazca un ternero, un cordero o un cabrito, se quedará con su madre durante siete días. Del octavo día en adelante será aceptable al Señor como ofrenda por fuego.
28»No degollaréis el mismo día una vaca o una oveja con su cría.
29»Cuando sacrifiquéis una ofrenda de acción de gracias al Señor, hacedlo de tal modo que os sea aceptada. 30Deberá comerse ese mismo día, sin dejar nada para el siguiente. Yo soy el Señor.
31»Obedeced mis mandamientos y ponedlos por obra. Yo soy el Señor.
32»No profanéis mi santo nombre, sino reconocedme como santo en medio de los israelitas. Yo soy el Señor, que os santifica. 33Yo os saqué de Egipto para ser vuestro Dios. Yo soy el Señor».
