1And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people: 2But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother, 3And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled. 4But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.21.4 he…: or, being an husband among his people, he shall not defile himself for his wife, etc 5They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh. 6They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy. 7They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God. 8Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy.
9¶ And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
10And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes; 11Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother; 12Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD. 13And he shall take a wife in her virginity. 14A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife. 15Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.
16¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 17Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.21.17 bread: or, food 18For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, 19Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, 20Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;21.20 a dwarf: or, too slender 21No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. 22He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy. 23Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them. 24And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
제사장이 지켜야 할 규정
1여호와께서 모세를 통하여 아론의 자손 제사장들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨 다. “너희는 죽은 자를 만짐으로 자신을 더럽히지 말아라.
2-3그러나 부모와 자녀와 형제와 그리고 시집가지 않은 누이가 죽었을 경우에는 그 시체를 만질 수 있다.
4제사장은 백성의 지도자이므로 보통 사람과 같이 함부로 시체를 만져 자신을 더럽혀서는 안 된다.
5“제사장은 애도의 뜻으로 머리를 대머리처럼 밀거나 수염 양쪽 끝을 깎거나 살을 베어서는 안 된다.
6너희는 나 하나님에게 거룩하고 내 이름을 더럽히거나 욕되게 하지 말아라. 너희는 나 여호와에게 제물을 바치는 제사장이므로 거룩해야 한다.
7너희는 창녀나 순결을 잃은 여자나 이혼한 여자와 결혼하지 말아라. 너희는 나 여호와의 거룩한 제사장이다.”
8여호와께서 또 모세에게 말씀하셨다. “너는 제사장을 거룩하게 하라. 그는 나 여호와에게 제물을 드리는 자이다. 너는 그를 거룩하게 여겨야 한다. 이것은 너희를 거룩하게 하는 나 여호와가 거룩하기 때문이다.
9만일 제사장의 딸이 매춘 행위를 하여 자기 아버지를 욕되게 하였으면 그녀를 반드시 불로 태워 죽여라.
10“특별히 기름 부음을 받고 위임되어 예복을 입은 대제사장은 상중이라도 머리를 풀거나 옷을 찢어서는 안 되며
11그 어떤 시체에도 가까이해서는 안 된다. 이것은 자기 부모가 죽었을 경우에도 마찬가지이다.
12또 대제사장은 21:12 암시됨.직무중에 성소를 떠나거나 성소를 더럽혀서도 안 된다. 그는 내가 기름을 붓고 거룩하게 구별하여 세운 대제사장이기 때문이다. 나는 여호와이다.
13그리고 대제사장은 반드시 처녀와 결혼해야 한다.
14그는 과부나 이혼한 여자나 창녀를 아내로 삼아서는 안 되며 반드시 자기 지파 중의 처녀와 결혼해야 한다.
15그렇지 않으면 그의 자녀들이 백성들 가운데서 더럽혀질 것이다. 나는 그를 제사장으로 거룩히 구별하여 세운 여호와이다.”
16-17또 여호와께서는 모세를 통하여 아론 에게 말씀하셨다. “너희 자손 가운데 대대로 신체적 결함이 있는 자는 누구든지 나에게 제물을 드릴 수 없다.
18그들은 소경, 절뚝발이, 코가 비뚤어진 자, 손가락과 발가락이 더 붙은 자,
19손발이 부러진 자,
20꼽추, 난쟁이, 눈에 결함이 있는 자, 21:20 또는 ‘괴혈병이나버짐이있는자’각종 피부병이 있는 자, 그리고 고자이다.
21제사장 아론의 자손 중에 이와 같은 신체적 결함이 있는 자는 나에게 나아와서 제물을 드리지 못한다.
22이런 자는 제사장이 먹는 거룩한 음식은 먹을 수 있으나
23그에게는 신체적 결함이 있으므로 성소의 휘장이나 번제단에 가까이 가서는 안 된다. 그가 내 성소를 더럽힐 수 없는 것은 그 성소를 거룩하게 하는 자가 바로 나 여호와이기 때문이다.”
24이것은 모세가 여호와께 받은 명령을 아론과 그의 아들들과 모든 이스라엘 백성에게 전한 것이다.
