Job 38:1-41

1Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, 2Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? 3Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.38.3 answer…: Heb. make me know

Jobs Bog 38:1-41

8Hvem satte grænser for havet,

10Hvem sørgede for at holde havet i skak,

Her standser dine stolte bølger!’?

havets overflade hærdes til is.

31Kan du binde Syvstjernen sammen

eller løse Orions bælte?

32Har du styr på Dyrekredsen?

Har du kontrol over Store Bjørn og Lille Bjørn?

33Kender du universets love?

Bestemmer du deres virkning på jorden?

34Kan du ved at råbe til skyerne

få regnen til at gennembløde dig?

35Kan du kommandere med lynene,

vil de adlyde din befaling?

36Hvem gav mennesket visdom,

udstyrede hjernen med evne til at tænke?

37Hvem kender skyernes antal?

Hvem vipper himlens vandkrukker,
