Job 32:1-22

1So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.32.1 to…: Heb. from answering 2Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.32.2 himself: Heb. his soul 3Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job. 4Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.32.4 waited…: Heb. expected Job in words32.4 elder: Heb. elder for days 5When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.

6And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.32.6 young: Heb. few of days32.6 durst…: Heb. feared 7I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. 8But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. 9Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment. 10Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion. 11Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.32.11 reasons: Heb. understandings32.11 what…: Heb. words 12Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words: 13Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man. 14Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.32.14 directed: or, ordered

Si Elihu

1Miundang na sa pagtubag kang Job ang tulo niya ka higala, tungod kay miinsister gayod si Job nga wala siyay sala.

2Unya may usa ka tawo didto nga ginganlag Elihu. Anak siya ni Barakel nga taga-Buz nga naggikan sa pamilya ni Ram. Nasuko siya pag-ayo kang Job kay ang Dios maoy gibasol ni Job ug dili ang iyang kaugalingon. 3Nasuko usab siya sa tulo ka higala ni Job kay wala nila mapamatud-i nga nakasala si Job ug migawas nga ang Dios maoy sad-an. 4Gihulat ni Elihu nga makahuman ug sulti ang uban ayha siya mosulti kang Job, tungod kay mas magulang sila kay kaniya. 5Apan sa dihang nakita niya nga wala nay ikasulti ang tulo, nasuko siya pag-ayo. 6Busa miingon siya, “Bata pa ako ug kamo tigulang na, busa nagpanagana ako nga mosulti. Nahadlok ako nga mangahas sa pagpadayag kaninyo sa akong hunahuna. 7Giisip ko nga kamo ang angayng motudlo kay mga tigulang na kamo ug daghan kamog nahibaloan. 8Apan ang tinuod, ang espiritu sa Makagagahom nga Dios nga anaa sa tawo mao ang nagahatag kaniya sa panabot. 9Ang pagkatigulang dili garantiya nga ang usa ka tawo maalamon ug nahibalo kon unsay husto. 10Busa pamatia ninyo ako. Mosulti usab ako sa akong nahibaloan. 11Nagpaabot lang ako samtang naghunahuna pa kamo sa angay ninyong isulti. Namati ako sa inyong mga rason. 12Namati gayod ako pag-ayo kaninyo, apan wala gayoy usa kaninyo nga nakapamatuod nga nakasala si Job; wala gayod kaninyoy mitubag sa iyang pagpangatarungan. 13Ayaw kamo pag-ingon, ‘Nahibaloan namo kon unsa ang husto. Pasagdi nga ang Dios ang motubag kaniya ug dili ang tawo.’ 14Kon ako ang gilalis ni Job, dili ko siya tubagon ug sama sa inyong panubag. 15Karon nakahinuktok kamo ug wala nay ikatubag. 16Maghulat lang ba ako samtang nagpakahilom kamo ug wala nay ikatubag? 17Aduna usab akoy isulti sumala sa akong nahibaloan. 18Kay daghan akog ikasulti, ug dili ko na gayod kini kapugngan. 19Kabutohon na ako sama sa bag-ong sudlanan sa bino nga hinimo sa panit. 20Kinahanglan gayod nga mosulti ako aron mahuwasan ako. 21Wala akoy labanan o pasidunggan. 22Dili ako kahibalong moulog-ulog. Ug kon buhaton ko kini, silotan ako diha-diha sa Dios nga naghimo kanako.”
