1At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves: 2And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. 3And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
4¶ Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return? 5Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return. 6I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle. 7Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD. 8How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? “ ‘Kodi anthu akagwa sangadzukenso?
Munthu akasochera kodi sangathe kubwereranso?
5Chifukwa chiyani nanga anthu awa akupitirirabe kuchimwa, osabwerera?
Chifukwa chiyani Yerusalemu akubwerera mʼmbuyo?
Iwo akangamira chinyengo;
akukana kubwerera.
6Ine ndinatchera khutu kumvetsera
koma iwo sanayankhulepo zoona.
Palibe woyipa amene analapapo zoyipa zake,
nʼkumati, ‘Ine ndachita chiyani?’
Aliyense akutsatira njira yake

‘Ndife anzeru ndipo timasunga malamulo a Yehova?’
Koma ndi alembi anu
amene akulemba zabodza.
9Anthu anzeru achita manyazi;
athedwa nzeru ndipo agwidwa.
Iwo anakana mawu a Yehova.
Nanga tsono nzeru zawo ziwapinduliranji?
10Nʼchifukwa chake akazi awo ndidzawapereka kwa amuna ena
ndipo minda yawo ndidzayipereka kwa amene adzawagonjetse.
Kuyambira wamngʼono mpaka wamkulu,
onse ali ndi khalidwe lofuna kupeza chuma mwakuba.
Aneneri pamodzi ndi ansembe omwe,
onse amachita zachinyengo.
11Iwo amapoletsa zilonda za anthu anga
pamwamba chabe
nʼkumati, ‘Mtendere, mtendere,’
pamene palibe mtendere.
12Kodi amachita manyazi akamachita zonyansazi?
Ayi, alibe manyazi ndi pangʼono pomwe;
iwo sadziwa nʼkugwetsa nkhope komwe.
Choncho iwo adzagwera pakati pa anzawo amene agwa kale;
adzagwa pansi tsiku limene ndidzawalanga,
akutero Yehova.
13“ ‘Ndidzatenga zokolola zawo,
Sipadzakhalanso mphesa pa mpesa
kapena nkhuyu pa mkuyu,
ndipo masamba ake adzawuma.
Zinthu zimene ndinawapatsa
ndidzawachotsera.’ ”
14Koma amati, “Tikukhala pano chifukwa chiyani?
Tiyeni tonse pamodzi
tithawire ku mizinda yotetezedwa
ndi kukafera kumeneko.
Pakuti Yehova Mulungu wathu watsimikiza kuti tiyenera kufa.
Watipatsa madzi aululu kuti timwe,
chifukwa tamuchimwira.
15Tinkayembekezera mtendere
koma palibe chabwino chomwe chinachitika,
tinkayembekezera kuchira
koma tinakumana ndi zoopsa zokhazokha.
16Kulira kwa ngʼombe zazimuna za mdani
kukumveka kuchokera ku Dani;
dziko lonse likunjenjemera
chifukwa cha kulira kwa akavalowo.
Akubwera kudzawononga dziko
ndi zonse zimene zili mʼmenemo.
Adzawononga mzinda ndi onse okhalamo.”
17Yehova akuti, “Onani, ndikukutumizirani njoka zaululu,
mphiri zimene munthu sangathe kuzilodza,
ndipo zidzakulumani,”
18Ndadzazidwa ndi chisoni kwambiri,
mtima wanga walefukiratu.
19Imvani kulira kwa anthu anga
kuchokera ku dziko lakutali:
akuti, “Kodi Yehova sali ku Ziyoni?
Kodi mfumu yake sili kumeneko?”
“Chifukwa chiyani akundiputa ndi mafano awo osema,
ndi milungu yawo yachilendo?”
20“Nthawi yokolola yapita,
chilimwe chapita,
koma sitinapulumuke.”
21Chifukwa cha mavuto a anthu anga, ine ndikumva kuwawa;
ndikungolira ndipo mantha aakulu andigwira.
22Kodi ku Giliyadi kulibe mankhwala ochiritsa?
Kodi kumeneko kulibe singʼanga?
