7¶ For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together. 8And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken. 9Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein. 10Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.48.10 deceitfully: or, negligently
11¶ Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.48.11 remained: Heb. stood 12Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles. 13And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth-el their confidence.
14¶ How say ye, We are mighty and strong men for the war? 15Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.48.15 his…: Heb. the choice of 16The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast. 17All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod! 18Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds. 19O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?48.19 inhabitant: Heb. inhabitress 20Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled, 21And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath, 22And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim, 23And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon, 24And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near. 25The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD.
26¶ Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision. 27For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.48.27 skippedst…: or, movedst thyself 28O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole’s mouth. 29We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart. 30I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.48.30 his lies…: or, those on whom he stayeth (Heb. his bars) do not right 31Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kir-heres. 32O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage. 33And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting. 34From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.48.34 desolate: Heb. desolations 35Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods. 36Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kir-heres: because the riches that he hath gotten are perished. 37For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.48.37 clipped: Heb. diminished 38There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith the LORD. 39They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.48.39 back: Heb. neck 40For thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab. 41Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men’s hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.48.41 Kerioth: or, The cities 42And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD. 43Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD. 44He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD. 45They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.48.45 tumultuous…: Heb. children of noise 46Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.48.46 captives, and: Heb. in captivity, etc
47¶ Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.

1Amo ini ang ginsiling sang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, ang Dios sang Israel, parte sa Moab:
“Kaluluoy ang Nebo kay pagalaglagon ini. Mahuy-an kag agawon ang Kiriataim, kag ang iya dalangpan sa mataas nga lugar magakalarumpag. 2Indi na pagdayawon ang Moab. Didto sa Heshbon nagaplano ang kaaway sa paglaglag sang Moab. Nagasiling sila, ‘Dali, laglagon ta ang Moab.’ Ang banwa sang Madmen salakayon man sang mga kaaway kag mangin mamingaw ini. 3Pamatii ninyo ang pagsinggit sa Horonaim tungod sa puwerte nga inaway kag kalaglagan. 4Malaglag gid ang Moab, kag magahinibi ang mga kabataan. 5Ang mga pumuluyo sang Moab magahinibi sing tudo samtang nagapataklad sila sa Luhit kag nagapadulhog sa Horonaim. Huo, mabatian ang ila paghinibi tungod sa kalaglagan.
6“Luwasa ang inyo kaugalingon! Magpalagyo kamo sa kamingawan. 7Kamo nga mga taga-Moab, nagasalig kamo sa inyo abilidad kag manggad, gani bihagon kamo pati ang inyo dios-dios nga si Kemosh kag ang iya sini nga mga pari kag mga opisyal.
8“Magaabot ang manuglaglag sa kada banwa kag wala sing banwa nga makaluwas. Malaglag pati ang mga banwa sa kapatagan kag sa pulopatag sa ibabaw sang bukid. Matabo gid ini, kay ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini. 9May pakpak lang kuntani ang Moab agod makalupad siya palayo,48:9 May pakpak lang… palayo: ukon, Asini ang Moab agod wala sing may magtubo nga mga tanom. kay indi na pag-estaran ang mga banwa sini kag mangin mamingaw na ini. 10Pakamalauton ang tawo nga nagapatumbaya sa paghimo sang buluhaton sang Ginoo kontra sa Moab. Pakamalauton ang tawo nga wala nagapatay sa mga taga-Moab. 11Matawhay ang pagkabuhi sang Moab halin sang una. Wala gid ini mabihag. Pareho ini sa bino nga wala pagtanduga ukon pag-ihuwad halin sa isa ka suludlan pakadto sa isa. Gani ang iya sabor amo gihapon.
12“Pero magaabot ang tion nga magapadala ako sang mga kaaway nga magaula sang Moab halin sa iya suludlan kag magadugmok sini. 13Dayon ikahuya sang Moab ang dios-dios nga si Kemosh, subong nga ginkahuya sang katawhan sang Israel ang ila dios-dios sa Betel. 14Nagapabugal ang mga taga-Moab nga mga maisog ang ila mga soldado sa inaway. 15Pero malaglag gid ang Moab kag ang mga banwa sini. Pamatyon ang pinakamaayo nila nga mga pamatan-on. Ako, ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom nga Hari, ang nagasiling sini.
16“Madali na lang ang kalaglagan sang Moab. 17Magpangasubo kamo, tanan kamo nga kadampig sang Moab!48:17 kadampig sang Moab: ukon, nagaestar sa palibot sang Moab. Magsiling kamo, ‘Tapos na ang Moab! Nabali na ang iya baston, ang baston nga simbolo sang iya pagkagamhanan kag pagkabantog.’
18“Kamo nga mga pumuluyo sang Dibon, magpaubos kamo kag magpungko sa yab-ok, kay ang manuglaglag sang Moab magasalakay man sa inyo kag panggub-on niya ang inyo napaderan nga mga banwa. 19Kamo nga nagaestar sa Aroer, magtindog kamo sa higad sang dalan kag magbantay. Magpamangkot kamo sa mga nakapalagyo kon ano ang natabo. 20Magasabat sila, ‘Nalaglag kag nahuy-an ang Moab. Gani magpangasubo kamo kag maghibi. Isinggit ninyo sa Arnon nga nalaglag ang Moab.’
21“Pagasilutan man ang mga banwa sa pulopatag sa ibabaw sang bukid: ang Holon, Jaza, Mefaat, 22Dibon, Nebo, Bet Diblataim, 23Kiriataim, Bet Gamul, Bet Meon, 24Keriot kag Bozra. Magaabot na ang silot sa tanan nga banwa sang Moab, sa malayo man ukon sa malapit. 25Wala na sing gahom ang Moab, gani maluya na ini subong. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini.
26“Hubuga ang Moab, kay nagrebelde siya sa akon. Magaligid siya sa iya kaugalingon nga suka kag mangin kaladlawan siya. 27Kamo nga mga pumuluyo sang Moab, indi bala nga ginyaguta ninyo ang Israel? Ngaa, nadakpan bala siya sa pagpangawat? Ti, ngaa nagalungo-lungo gid kamo sa pagyaguta sa iya? 28Maghalin na kamo sa inyo mga banwa kag mag-estar sa pil-as,48:28 pil-as: ukon, kabatuhan. pareho sa mga pating nga nagapugad sa mga pangpang. 29Puwerte gid kamo ka bugalon. Nabatian ko kon daw ano kamo ka bugalon kag matinaas-taason. 30Ako, ang Ginoo, nakahibalo kon daw ano kamo kahambog, pero wala ini sing pulos. 31Gani magahibi ako para sa Moab kag sa mga taga-Kir Hareset.48:31 Kir Hareset: ukon, Kir Heres. 32Magahibi man ako para sa katawhan sang Sibma, sobra pa sa paghibi ko sa mga taga-Jazer. Sibma, pareho ka sang tanom nga ubas nga ang imo mga sanga naglambot sa tabok sang Patay nga Dagat hasta sa Jazer. Pero karon gin-ubos panguha sang manuglaglag ang imo mga bunga. 33Wala na sing may mabatian nga kinalipay kag kinasadya sa mga uma kag sa mga talamnan sang ubas sa duta sang Moab. Wala na nagailig ang bino sa iya pulugaan. Wala na sing may nagalinas sang ubas nga nagasininggit sa kalipay. May pagsininggit matuod pero indi pagsininggit sa kalipay. 34Ang paghinibi sang mga taga-Heshbon mabatian hasta sa Eleale kag sa Jahaz. Ang paghinibi sang mga taga-Zoar mabatian hasta sa Horonaim kag sa Eglat Shelishiya. Kay bisan ang sapa sang Nimrim nagmala na. 35Pauntaton ko sa Moab atong mga nagahalad sa mga simbahan sa mataas nga mga lugar kag nagasunog sang insenso sa ila mga dios-dios. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini.
36“Gani nagapangasubo gid ako para sa Moab kag sa mga taga-Kir Hareset, pareho sang masubo nga sunata sang plawta sa patay. Wala na ang manggad nga ila naangkon. 37Ang tagsa-tagsa nagapakita sang pagpangasubo paagi sa pagpakalbo, pagpamarbas, pagpilas sang ila mga kamot, kag pagsuksok sang sako. 38Nagahinibi ang mga tawo sa atop sang ila mga balay kag sa mga plasa, kay ginlaglag ko ang Moab nga daw sa banga nga ginbuka kay wala na sing may naluyag. 39Daw ano ang pagkalaglag sang Moab! Pamatii ang paghinibi sang iya mga pumuluyo. Nahuy-an gid ang Moab, kag ginayaguta ini kag ginakangil-aran sang tanan nga nasyon sa palibot sini.”
40Nagpadayon pa gid sa pagsiling ang Ginoo, “Tan-awa! Ang kaaway sang Moab pareho sang agila nga nagalupad sa pagdagit sini. 41Maagaw ang mga banwa48:41 mga banwa: ukon, Keriot. kag ang mabakod nga mga kuta sang Moab. Sa sina nga tion ang mga soldado sang Moab makulbaan pareho sang isa ka babayi nga manugbata. 42Malaglag gid ang Moab tungod sa iya pagrebelde sa akon. 43Ang dangatan sang mga taga-Moab amo ang kahadlok, buho, kag siod. 44Ang bisan sin-o nga magpalagyo sa kahadlok mahulog sa buho. Ang bisan sin-o nga magguwa sa buho madakpan gihapon sa siod, kay silutan ko gid ang Moab sa gintalana nga tion. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini. 45Ang makaluluoy nga mga nakapalagyo gusto magpanago sa Heshbon. Pero ining Heshbon nga gin-gamhan anay ni Haring Sihon nagadabadaba sa kalayo. Ginalamon sang kalayo ang mga bukid nga ginapanaguan sang mga taga-Moab nga gusto sang inaway.
46“Kaluluoy gid kamo, mga taga-Moab! Nalaglag kamo nga nagasimba sa dios-dios nga si Kemosh, kag ginbihag ang inyo kabataan. 47Pero sa ulihi ibalik ko ang maayo nga kahimtangan sang Moab. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini.” Amo ato ang mensahi parte sa Moab.
