Sången om Herrens vingård

8Ve er som skaffar hus efter hus
och lägger fält till fält,
så att det inte längre finns någon plats kvar,
och ni blir de enda som bor i landet.
9Men detta har jag hört från härskarornas Herre:
”Många hus ska sannerligen ligga öde,
stora och fina, men utan invånare.
10En vingård på tio plogland
ska inte ge mer än en knapp tunna vin,
och av det utsäde som sås
ska man bara få en tiondel tillbaka.”
11Ve dem som går upp tidigt på morgonen
för att jaga efter starka drycker
och sitter till långt fram på nätterna,
berusade av vin!
12I deras dryckesfester hörs cittra, harpa, puka och flöjt,
och där finns vin.
Men Herrens verk ser de inte,
vad han gör bryr de sig inte om.
13Därför ska mitt folk föras bort i fångenskap,
för de är utan förstånd.
Dess stormän ska dö av hunger,
och dess larmande hop ska tyna bort av törst.
14Därför vidgar dödsriket sitt gap
och spärrar upp sin mun utan gräns,
och dit ner störtar stadens förnämsta,
liksom den larmande hopen som nu jublar där.
15Då böjs människan ner,
mänskligheten förödmjukas,
de högmodigas blick förödmjukas.
16Men härskarornas Herre är upphöjd i sin dom,
Gud, den Helige, visar sig helig i sin rättfärdighet.
17Då ska lammen beta som på sin egen betesmark,

18Ve dem som drar med sig överträdelser med lögnens band
och synd som med vagnsremmar,
19dem som säger:
”Låt honom skynda sig

som Israels Helige har beslutat,
så att vi får veta det!”
20Ve dem som kallar ont för gott
och gott för ont,
som gör mörker till ljus och ljus till mörker,
surt till sött och sött till surt!
21Ve dem som är visa i sina egna ögon

26Han reser ett banér för folken långt borta
och lockar dem från jordens ände.
Och se, de kommer fort, med hast.
27Ingen blir trött eller stapplar,
ingen slumrar eller sover.
Inget bälte kring någons höfter lossnar,
ingen skorem går av.
28Deras pilar är vassa
och deras bågar spända.
Hästarnas hovar är som av flinta,
och vagnshjulen viner som vinden.
29De ryter som lejon, som unga lejon,
och griper morrande tag i sitt byte
och släpar bort det,
utan att någon kan rädda det.
30Den dagen ska det rytas mot dem
som när havet ryter.
Ser man ut över landet
är där mörker och nöd,
och ljuset förmörkas av moln.
