1The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. 2It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
3¶ Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. 4Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.35.4 fearful: Heb. hasty
5Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. 7And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.35.7 grass…: or, a court for reeds, etc 8And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.35.8 but…: or, for he shall be with them 9No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: 10And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
성결의 길
1광야와 메마른 땅이 기뻐하며 황무지에도 꽃이 필 것이다.
2사막이 기쁜 노래로 즐거워하며 레바논 산처럼 푸르고 갈멜과 사론의 목장처럼 아름다울 것이며 모든 사람이 여호와의 영광과 우리 하나님의 위대하심을 보게 될 것이다.
3너희는 약하고 힘없는 자들을 격려하고 붙들어 주며
4두려워하는 자들에게 이렇게 말하라. “너희는 용기를 가지고 두려워하지 말아라. 너희 하나님이 오셔서 너희 원수들에게 복수하시고 너희를 구원하실 것이다.”
5그때 소경의 눈이 뜨이고 귀머거리의 귀가 열릴 것이며
6절름발이가 사슴처럼 뛰고 벙어리가 기뻐 외칠 것이다. 광야에서 물이 솟구치고 사막에도 시내가 흐를 것이며
7뜨거운 모래밭이 못이 되고 메마른 땅에 샘물이 솟고 이리가 살던 곳에 갈대와 골풀이 자랄 것이다.
8거기에 ‘성결의 길’ 이라고 부르는 대로가 열릴 것이니 깨끗하지 못한 자는 그리로 지나가지 못할 것이다. 35:8 원문의뜻이분명치않다.그 길을 걷는 자와 하나님이 함께하시므로 어리석은 사람도 거기서 방황하지 않을 것이다.
9그리고 거기에는 사자와 같은 사나운 짐승도 나타나지 않으므로 그런 것을 만나지 않을 것이다. 여호와께서 구원하신 자들이 그 길을 지나
10노래하며 시온에 이를 것이니 그들에게는 슬픔과 탄식이 사라지고 영원한 기쁨과 즐거움만이 있을 것이다.
