1The burden of Tyre. 15And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.23.15 shall Tyre…: Heb. it shall be unto Tyre as the song of an harlot 16Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
17¶ And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. 18And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.23.18 durable: Heb. old
Profeție împotriva Tyrului
1O rostire cu privire la Tyr.
Gemeți, corăbii de Tarșiș1, 14 Vezi nota de la 2:16.,
căci casa și portul vă sunt distruse!
Din Chitim1, 12 Cipru. au primit această veste.
2Tăceți, locuitori de pe coastă,
precum și voi, negustori din Sidon,
care v‑ați îmbogățit din negoțul pe mare!
3Străbătând ape multe,
grânele erau aduse din Șihor;
secerișul Nilului era venitul Tyrului,
acesta devenind locul de negoț al neamurilor.
4Să‑ți fie rușine, Sidon, fortăreață a mării!
Căci marea a vorbit, zicând:
„N‑am avut dureri, nici n‑am născut;
n‑am îngrijit băieți, nici n‑am crescut fete.“
5Când va ajunge vestea în Egipt,
se vor îngrozi de cele auzite despre Tyr.
6Treceți spre Tarșiș!
Gemeți, locuitori de pe coastă!
7Aceasta să fie, oare, cetatea voastră plină de veselie,
cetatea întemeiată din vremuri străvechi,
ai cărei pași au dus‑o până departe,
întemeind colonii?
8Cine a plănuit aceasta împotriva Tyrului,
împotriva celui ce oferea coroane,
ai cărui negustori erau conducători,
ai cărui comercianți erau cei mai onorați de pe pământ?
9Domnul Oștirilor a plănuit aceasta –
pentru a zdrobi mândria a tot ce este glorios,
pentru a‑i umili pe toți cei onorați de pe pământ.
10Cultivă‑ți țara, ca malul Nilului,
fiică a Tarșișului,
căci port nu mai ai!
11Domnul Și‑a întins mâna peste mare
și a făcut împărățiile să se cutremure.
Cu privire la Canaan11 Este vorba mai exact despre Fenicia (teritoriul, în linii mari, al Libanului de astăzi)., a poruncit
să‑i fie nimicite fortărețele.
12El a zis: „Nu te vei mai bucura,
o, fecioară asuprită, fiică a Sidonului!
Ridică‑te și du‑te în Chitim,
însă nici măcar acolo nu vei avea odihnă!“
13Iată țara caldeenilor13 babilonienilor.!
Poporul acesta nu mai este!
Asirienii au dat‑o animalelor sălbatice.
Și‑au ridicat turnurile de asalt,
i‑au jefuit palatele
și au făcut din ea o ruină.
14Gemeți, corăbii de Tarșiș,
căci fortăreața voastră este distrusă!
15Din ziua aceea Tyr va fi uitat pentru șaptezeci de ani – timpul vieții unui împărat. Iar la sfârșitul celor șaptezeci de ani, Tyrului i se va întâmpla ca prostituatei din cântare:
16„Ia lira și străbate cetatea,
prostituată care ai fost uitată!
Cântă iscusit, cântă‑ți cântecul de mai multe ori,
astfel încât să‑și aducă aminte de tine!“
17Când se vor încheia cei șaptezeci de ani, Domnul va vizita Tyrul. Cetatea se va întoarce la câștigul ei și se va prostitua cu toate împărățiile de pe fața pământului. 18Profitul și plata ei însă vor fi închinate Domnului. Acestea nu vor fi nici adunate, nici păstrate, ci câștigul ei va asigura hrană din belșug și haine frumoase pentru cei ce trăiesc înaintea Domnului.
