Isaiah 2:1-22

1The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.2.2 established: or, prepared 3And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.2.4 pruninghooks: or, scythes 5O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

6¶ Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.2.6 from…: or, more than the2.6 please…: or, abound with the 7Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots: 8Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: 9And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

10¶ Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty. 11The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. 12For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: 13And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, 14And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, 15And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, 16And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.2.16 pleasant…: Heb. pictures of desire 17And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. 18And the idols he shall utterly abolish.2.18 he…: or, shall utterly pass away 19And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.2.19 of the earth: Heb. of the dust 20In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;2.20 his idols of silver…: Heb. the idols of his silver, etc2.20 each…: or, for him 21To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 22Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

以赛亚书 2:1-22

主必统治万邦

1亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚看到以下有关犹大耶路撒冷的异象。

2在末后的日子,耶和华殿所在的山必耸立,

高过群山,超过万岭,

万族都要涌向它。

3众民都必来,说:

“来吧!让我们登耶和华的山,

雅各之上帝的殿。

祂必将祂的路指示给我们,

使我们走祂的道。”

因为训诲必出于锡安

耶和华的话语必来自耶路撒冷

4祂必在各国施行审判,

为列邦平息纷争。

他们必将刀剑打成犁头,

把矛枪制成镰刀。

国与国不再刀兵相见,

人们不用再学习战事。

5雅各家啊,来吧!

让我们走在耶和华的光中。

耶和华审判的日子

6耶和华啊,你离弃了你的子民——雅各的后裔,

因为他们当中充满了东方的恶俗,

非利士人一样占卜,

跟外族人同流合污。

7他们境内金银遍地,

财宝无穷;

他们境内马匹充裕,

战车无数。

8他们境内偶像林立,

他们跪拜自己用手所造的物品,

跪拜自己用指头所造之物。

9他们必遭羞辱和贬抑。

耶和华啊,

求你不要赦免他们。

10要躲进岩穴,藏入地洞,

逃避耶和华的愤怒和威荣!

11到那日,狂妄的人将被挫败,

骄傲的人将遭贬抑;

唯独耶和华将受尊崇。

12因为万军之耶和华已定了日子,

要惩罚一切骄傲狂妄和自高自大的人,

使他们沦为卑贱;

13祂必毁灭黎巴嫩高大的香柏树和巴珊的橡树,

14毁灭一切崇山峻岭,

15毁灭高耸的城楼和坚固的城墙,

16毁灭他施的商船和一切华美的船只。

17到那日,狂妄的人必被挫败,

骄傲的人必遭贬抑,

唯独耶和华受尊崇。

18偶像必被彻底铲除。

19耶和华使大地震动的时候,

众人躲进岩穴,藏入地洞,

逃避祂的愤怒和威荣。

20到那日,众人必把造来敬拜的金银偶像丢给田鼠和蝙蝠。

21耶和华使大地震动的时候,

众人必躲进山洞和岩缝,

逃避祂的愤怒和威荣。

22不要再倚靠世人,

他们的生命不过是一口气,

他们有什么值得称道的呢?
