68¶ And some of the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the LORD which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in his place: 69They gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work threescore and one thousand drams of gold, and five thousand pound of silver, and one hundred priests’ garments. 70So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.

61-62祭司中的哈巴雅宗族、哈哥斯宗族和巴西萊宗族，在族譜中都找不到自己的譜系，因此他們算為不潔淨，不能做祭司。巴西萊子孫的祖先娶了基列人巴西萊的女兒為妻，因此取名叫巴西萊。 63省長吩咐他們，要等到用烏陵和土明求問上帝的祭司出現後，才可以吃至聖之物。
64回到猶大的人共四萬二千三百六十名。 65此外還有他們的七千三百三十七名男女僕婢，二百名男女歌樂手， 66七百三十六匹馬，二百四十五匹騾子， 67四百三十五頭駱駝和六千七百二十頭驢。
68有些族長來到耶路撒冷耶和華的殿時，甘願為上帝的殿獻上禮物，用來在舊址上重新建殿。 69他們盡自己的能力為這工程捐獻了五百公斤金子，三噸銀子，以及一百件祭司禮服。
70祭司、利未人、一些百姓、歌樂手、殿門守衛和殿役住在自己的城裡，其餘的以色列人也都住在自己的城裡。
