8¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen; 9Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,25.9 side…: Heb. shoulder of Moab 10Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.25.10 with…: or, against the children of Ammon 11And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
12¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;25.12 by…: Heb. by revenging revengement 13Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.25.13 they…: or, they shall fall by the sword unto Dedan 14And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.

1El Señor me habló diciendo: 2«Hijo de hombre, encara a los amonitas y profetiza contra ellos. 3Diles que presten atención a la palabra del Señor omnipotente: “Por cuanto vosotros os burlasteis cuando visteis que mi santuario era profanado, y que el país de Israel era devastado y que a los habitantes de Judá se los llevaban al exilio, 4yo os entregaré al poder de los pueblos del oriente. Ellos armarán sus campamentos y establecerán entre vosotros sus moradas; comerán vuestros frutos y beberán vuestra leche. 5Convertiré a Rabá en un pastizal de camellos, y a Amón en un corral de ovejas. Entonces sabréis que yo soy el Señor.
6»”Así dice el Señor omnipotente: Por cuanto vosotros los amonitas aplaudisteis y saltasteis de alegría, y maliciosamente os reísteis de Israel, 7yo voy a extender mi mano contra vosotros y os entregaré a las naciones como despojo. Os arrancaré de entre los pueblos, y os destruiré por completo. Entonces sabréis que yo soy el Señor”».
Profecía contra Moab
8«Así dice el Señor omnipotente: Por cuanto Moab y Seír dicen: “Judá es igual a todas las naciones”, 9voy a abrir el flanco de Moab. De un extremo a otro la dejaré sin Bet Yesimot, Baal Megón y Quiriatayin, ciudades que son su orgullo. 10Entregaré a Moab y a los amonitas en manos de los pueblos del oriente, y de los amonitas no quedará ni el recuerdo. 11Además, castigaré a Moab. Entonces sabrán que yo soy el Señor».
Profecía contra Edom
12«Así dice el Señor omnipotente: Edom se ha vengado completamente de Judá, y de esta manera resulta más grave su culpa. 13Por eso, así dice el Señor omnipotente: Extenderé mi mano contra Edom, y exterminaré a hombres y animales. Lo dejaré en ruinas. Desde Temán hasta Dedán, todos morirán a filo de espada. 14Por medio de mi pueblo Israel me vengaré de Edom. Mi pueblo hará con Edom lo que le dicten mi ira y mi furor. Así conocerán lo que es mi venganza. Lo afirma el Señor omnipotente».
Profecía contra los filisteos
15«Así dice el Señor omnipotente: Los filisteos se vengaron con alevosía; con profundo desprecio intentaron destruir a Judá por causa de una antigua enemistad. 16Por eso, así dice el Señor omnipotente: Extenderé mi mano contra los filisteos. Exterminaré a los quereteos, y destruiré a los que aún quedan en la costa del mar. 17Mi venganza contra ellos será terrible. Los castigaré con mi ira. Y, cuando ejecute mi venganza, sabrán que yo soy el Señor».
