8¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen; 9Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,25.9 side…: Heb. shoulder of Moab 10Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.25.10 with…: or, against the children of Ammon 11And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
12¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;25.12 by…: Heb. by revenging revengement 13Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.25.13 they…: or, they shall fall by the sword unto Dedan 14And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.

Munkakondwa mu mtima mwanu pamene munkanyoza dziko la Israeli. 7Nʼchifukwa chake ndidzatambasula dzanja langa kuti ndikulangeni, ndipo ndidzakuperekani kuti mukhale chofunkha cha anthu a mitundu ina. Ndidzakuchotsani pakati pa anthu a mitundu ina ndi kukufafanizani mʼmayiko onse. Ndidzakuwonongani, ndipo inu mudzadziwa kuti Ine ndine Yehova!’ ”

8“Ambuye Yehova akuti, ‘Anthu a ku Mowabu ndi a ku Seiri ananena kuti anthu a ku Yuda ali ngati mayiko ena onse.’ 9Nʼchifukwa chake ndidzagumula mbali ina ya Mowabu, kuyambira ku mizinda yake ya kumalire; mizinda yokongola ya Beti-Yesimoti, Baala-Meoni ndi Kiriataimu. 10Ndidzapereka Amowabu pamodzi ndi Aamoni mʼmanja mwa anthu akummawa kotero kuti Aamoni adzayiwalikiratu pakati pa anthu a mitundu ina. 11Ndidzawalangadi Amowabuwo. Ndidzawonongeratu Edomu ndipo adzaphedwa ndi lupanga kuchokera ku Temani mpaka ku Dedani. 14Ndidzalanga Edomu ndi dzanja la anthu anga Aisraeli. Adzalanga anthu a ku Edomu molingana ndi mkwiyo ndi ukali wanga. Choncho adzaona kulipsira kwanga akutero Ambuye Yehova.’ ”
