8¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen; 9Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,25.9 side…: Heb. shoulder of Moab 10Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.25.10 with…: or, against the children of Ammon 11And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

预言审判外族人
1耶和华对我说： 2“人子啊，你要面向亚扪人，说预言斥责他们， 3告诉他们要听主耶和华的话。主耶和华说，‘当我的圣所被亵渎，以色列变得荒凉，犹大人被掳的时候，你们竟然哈哈而乐。 4所以我要使东方人侵占你们的地方。他们必在你们的土地上安营扎寨，吃你们出产的果子，喝你们牛羊的奶。 5我要使拉巴成为骆驼的草场，使亚扪人的土地变成羊群歇息之处，这样你们便知道我是耶和华。
6“主耶和华说，‘你们看到以色列的灾祸，便幸灾乐祸，手舞足蹈。 7因此，我要伸手攻击你们，使你们成为各国的俘虏。我必从万民中铲除你们，从万国中消灭你们，使你们灭绝。这样，你们就知道我是耶和华。’
斥责摩押
8“耶和华说，‘摩押和西珥嘲笑犹大与其他各国没有两样。 9所以我要攻陷摩押边界的城邑，就是那地方引以为荣的伯·耶西末、巴力·免和基列亭。 10我要将它和亚扪人一起交给东方人统治，使亚扪人从此被列国遗忘。 11我必审判摩押人，这样他们就知道我是耶和华。’
斥责以东
12“耶和华说，‘因为以东报复犹大，犯了大罪。 13所以，我要伸手攻击以东，铲除那里的人和牲畜，使地荒废，从提幔直到底但的以东人要倒在刀下。 14我要借我以色列子民的手向以东报仇。以色列人会照我的烈怒惩罚他们。那时，他们就会尝到我报应他们的滋味，这是主耶和华说的。’
斥责非利士
15“主耶和华说，‘非利士人心存仇恨，为了报世仇要毁灭犹大， 16所以我必伸手攻击他们，铲除基利提人，毁灭沿海残余的人。 17我要报应他们，发烈怒惩罚他们。我报应他们的时候，他们就知道我是耶和华。’”
