1And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. 2And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. 3And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.2.3 nation: Heb. nations 4For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. 6¶ And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.2.6 briers…: or, rebels 7And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.2.7 most…: Heb. rebellion 8But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
9¶ And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

– Сын человеческий, поднимись на ноги, и Я буду говорить с тобой.
2Когда Он говорил, Дух вошел в меня, поднял меня на ноги, и я услышал Говорившего со мной.
3Он сказал:
– Сын человеческий, Я посылаю тебя к израильтянам, мятежному народу, который восстал против Меня; они сами и их предки были мятежниками против Меня до этого самого дня. 4Народ, к которому Я посылаю тебя, непокорен и упрям. Скажи им: «Так говорит Владыка Господь»2:4 Евр. «Адонай ЙГВГ»; также в остальных местах книги.. 5Станут ли они слушать, откажутся ли – ведь они мятежный дом, – но они будут знать, что среди них был пророк. 6А ты, сын человеческий, не бойся ни их самих, ни их слов. Не бойся, пусть они как терновник и колючки повсюду вокруг тебя, и живешь ты среди скорпионов. Хотя они и мятежный дом не бойся того, что они говорят, и не страшись их самих. 7Говори им Мои слова, независимо от того, станут они слушать или откажутся, ведь они мятежники. 8Но ты, сын человеческий, выслушай то, что Я тебе скажу. Не восставай, как этот мятежный дом; открой рот и съешь то, что Я тебе даю.
9Я взглянул и увидел простертую ко мне руку. В ней был свиток, 10который Он развернул передо мной. На обеих его сторонах были начертаны слова причитаний, скорби и горя.
