1Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land. 2And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:6.2 the LORD: or, JEHOVAH 3And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. 4And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers. 5And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant. 6Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: 7And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.6.8 swear: Heb. lift up my hand
9¶ And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.6.9 anguish: Heb. shortness, or, straitness
10And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 11Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land. 12And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips? 13And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
14¶ These be the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben. 15And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.
16¶ And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi were an hundred thirty and seven years. 17The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families. 18And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years. 19And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi according to their generations. 20And Amram took him Jochebed his father’s sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and thirty and seven years.
21¶ And the sons of Izhar; Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri. 22And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri. 23And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 24And the sons of Korah; Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korhites. 25And Eleazar Aaron’s son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families. 26These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies. 27These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron.
28¶ And it came to pass on the day when the LORD spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt, 29That the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee. 30And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?
1El Señor le respondió:
―Ahora verás lo que voy a hacer con el faraón. Realmente, solo por mi mano poderosa va a dejar que se vayan; solo por mi mano poderosa va a echarlos de su país.
2En otra ocasión, Dios habló con Moisés y le dijo: «Yo soy el Señor. 3Me aparecí a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob bajo el nombre de Dios Todopoderoso, pero no les revelé mi verdadero nombre, que es el Señor.6:3 Véase nota en 3:15. 4También con ellos confirmé mi pacto de darles la tierra de Canaán, donde residieron como forasteros. 5He oído además el gemir de los israelitas, a quienes los egipcios han esclavizado, y he recordado mi pacto. 6Así que ve y diles a los israelitas: “Yo soy el Señor, y voy a quitaros de encima la opresión de los egipcios. Voy a libraros de su esclavitud; voy a liberaros con gran despliegue de poder y con grandes actos de justicia. 7Haré de vosotros mi pueblo; y yo seré vuestro Dios. Así sabrán que yo soy el Señor vuestro Dios, que os libró de la opresión de los egipcios. 8Y os llevaré a la tierra que bajo juramento prometí darles a Abraham, Isaac y Jacob. Yo, el Señor, os daré a vosotros posesión de ella”».
9Moisés les dio a conocer esto a los israelitas, pero por su desánimo y las penurias de su esclavitud ellos no le hicieron caso. 10Entonces el Señor habló con Moisés y le dijo:
11―Ve y habla con el faraón, el rey de Egipto. Dile que deje salir de su país a los israelitas.
12Pero Moisés se enfrentó al Señor y le dijo:
―¿Y cómo va a hacerme caso el faraón, si ni siquiera los israelitas me creen? Además, no tengo facilidad de palabra.6:12 no tengo facilidad de palabra. Lit. soy incircunciso de labios; también en v. 30.
13Entonces el Señor habló con Moisés y Aarón acerca de los israelitas y del faraón, rey egipcio, y les ordenó sacar de Egipto a los israelitas.
Antepasados de Moisés y de Aarón
14Estos fueron los jefes de las familias patriarcales:
Los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel: Janoc, Falú, Jezrón y Carmí. Estos fueron los clanes de Rubén.
15Los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Oad, Jaquín, Zojar y Saúl, hijo de la cananea. Estos fueron los clanes de Simeón.
16Según los registros familiares, estos son los nombres de los hijos de Leví, quien vivió ciento treinta y siete años: Guersón, Coat y Merari.
17Los hijos de Guersón, según sus clanes: Libní y Simí.
18Los hijos de Coat, quien vivió ciento treinta y tres años: Amirán, Izar, Hebrón y Uziel.
19Los hijos de Merari: Majlí y Musí.
Estos fueron los clanes de Leví, según sus registros familiares.
20Amirán, que vivió ciento treinta y siete años, se casó con su tía Jocabed, la cual le dio dos hijos, Aarón y Moisés.
21Los hijos de Izar: Coré, Néfeg y Zicrí.
22Los hijos de Uziel: Misael, Elzafán y Sitri.
23Aarón se casó con Elisabet, hija de Aminadab y hermana de Naasón, y ella le dio cuatro hijos: Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
24Los hijos de Coré: Asir, Elcaná y Abiasaf. Estos fueron los clanes de Coré.
25Eleazar hijo de Aarón se casó con una de las hijas de Futiel, la cual le dio un hijo, Finés.
Estos fueron los jefes de los clanes levitas, en orden de familias.
26Aarón y Moisés son los mismos a quienes el Señor mandó que sacaran de Egipto a los israelitas, ordenados en escuadrones. 27Son ellos quienes hablaron con el faraón, rey egipcio, en cuanto a sacar de Egipto a los israelitas.
Aarón, portavoz de Moisés
28Cuando el Señor habló con Moisés en Egipto, 29le dijo:
―Yo soy el Señor. Habla con el faraón, rey de Egipto, y comunícale todo lo que yo te diga.
30Pero Moisés respondió al Señor y le dijo:
―¿Y cómo va a hacerme caso el faraón, si yo no tengo facilidad de palabra?
