1If one be found slain in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him: 2Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain: 3And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke; 4And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer’s neck there in the valley: 5And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:21.5 word: Heb. mouth 6And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley: 7And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it. 8Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel’s charge. 10¶ When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive, 11And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife; 12Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;21.12 pare: or, suffer to grow: Heb. make, or, dress 13And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife. 14And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.

18¶ If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: 19Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; 20And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. 21And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

殺人疑案的處理
1「在你們的上帝耶和華將要賜給你們的土地上，如果發現有人被殺，陳屍野外，卻不知道兇手是誰， 2當地的長老和審判官就要去測量一下屍體距附近各城邑的距離。 3距離屍體最近的那城的長老們要牽一頭從未負過軛、從未耕過地的小母牛， 4去有溪流但無人耕種過的山谷，在那裡把牠的頸項打斷。 5利未祭司也要去，因為你們的上帝耶和華揀選他們在祂面前事奉、奉祂的名為人祝福並審理各種糾紛及人身傷害的事。 6那城的長老們要在被打斷頸項的小母牛上方洗手， 7然後禱告說，『我們的手沒有殺這人，我們的眼也沒有看見誰殺了他。 8耶和華啊，求你赦免你已經救贖的以色列子民，不要把殺害這無辜之人的罪算在你的子民身上。』這樣，殺人的罪便可得到赦免。 9你們做耶和華視為正的事，就可以從你們中間除去殺害無辜之人的罪。
娶女俘的條例
10「你們和敵人交戰時，你們的上帝耶和華會把敵人交給你們，使他們成為你們的俘虜。 11如果你們有人在俘虜中看見美麗的女子，被她吸引，想娶她為妻， 12就可以帶她回家，讓她剃去頭髮，修剪指甲， 13換掉被俘時所穿的衣服，住在那人家中為她父母哀悼一個月。之後，那人便可以和她結為夫妻。 14如果那人不喜歡她，則要讓她自由離去，不可賣掉她，也不可奴役她，因為他已經羞辱了她。
長子的權利
15「如果一個人有兩個妻子，一個受他寵愛，一個不受他寵愛，二人都給他生了兒子，但長子是不受寵愛的妻子生的， 16分產業的時候，他不可廢長立幼，把長子的權利給他所愛之妻生的兒子。 17他必須承認他不愛之妻所生的長子的名分，分給他雙份產業，因為長子是他壯年時所生的兒子，應享有長子的權利。
懲處逆子的條例
18「如果一個人的兒子冥頑不靈、悖逆成性、屢教不改， 19他父母要抓住他，把他帶到城門口去見本城的長老，對他們說， 20『我們這個兒子冥頑不靈、悖逆成性，不肯聽從我們，是個貪吃好酒之徒。』 21全城的人都要用石頭打死他，從你們中間除掉這種罪惡。所有以色列人聽說後，都會感到害怕。
罪犯屍體的處理
22「如果有人犯了死罪，屍體被掛在木頭上， 23不可讓屍體在木頭上過夜，必須當天埋葬，因為凡掛在木頭上的人都是上帝所咒詛的。你們不可玷污你們的上帝耶和華將要賜給你們的土地。
