1Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him. 2And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. 3And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will. 4And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

Mahimo siyang gamhanan pinaagi sa iyang bahandi, ug hagiton niya ang tanan nga makigbatok sa gingharian sa Greece. 3Unya, may moabot nga usa ka gamhanan nga hari. Sakopon niya ang daghang mga nasod, ug himuon niya ang iyang gustong himuon. 4Sa dihang gamhanan na gayod siya kaayo, mabungkag ang iyang gingharian ug mabahin sa upat ka direksyon sa kalibotan, apan dili ang iyang mga kaliwat ang magahari niini. Ang mopuli nga mga hari dili mahimong sama kaniya kagamhanan. Sa pagkatinuod kuhaon ang iyang gingharian ug ihatag sa uban.
5“Ang hari sa Ehipto11:5 hari sa Ehipto: sa literal, hari sa habagatan. mahimong gamhanan. Apan ang usa sa iyang mga heneral mahimong mas gamhanan pa kay kaniya, ug magahari kini sa mas dako nga gingharian. 6Paglabay sa pila ka tuig, magdinapigay kining duha ka gingharian, kay ipaasawa sa hari sa Ehipto ang iyang babayeng anak sa hari sa Syria.11:6 hari sa Syria: sa literal, hari sa amihan. 7“Sa dili madugay magahari ang igsoon sa babaye didto sa Ehipto puli sa iyang amahan. Sulongon niya ang mga sundalo sa hari sa Syria ug sudlon ang pinarilan nga lungsod11:7 pinarilan nga lungsod: o, lig-ong depensa. Amo usab sa bersikulo 10, 19, 38. niini. Makig-away siya kanila ug magmadaogon siya. 8Dad-on niya sa Ehipto ang mga rebulto sa ilang mga dios ug ang ilang mahalon nga mga kabtangan nga hinimo sa bulawan ug plata. Sulod sa pila ka tuig, dili siya makiggubat sa hari sa Syria. 9Apan sa kaulahian sulongon siya sa hari sa Syria, apan mapildi ang hari sa Syria ug mobalik sa iyang kaugalingon nasod.
10“Magtigom ug daghang mga sundalo ang mga anak sa hari sa Syria aron pangandaman ang pagpakiggira. Mosulong sila nga daw baha nga dili mapugngan hangtod sa pinarilan nga lungsod sa hari sa Ehipto. 11Tungod sa kasuko sa hari sa Ehipto, makiggubat siya sa hari sa Syria, ug pildihon niya ang daghang mga sundalo niini. 12Tungod sa iyang kadaogan, magpasigarbo siya ug daghan pa gayod ang iyang laglagon. Apan dili siya magpabilin nga madaogon, 13kay magtigom pag-usab ang hari sa Syria ug mas daghan pa gayod nga mga sundalo kaysa una. Ug human sa pipila ka tuig sulongon niya pag-usab ang Ehipto uban sa iyang daghang mga sundalo ug kahimanan.
14“Nianang panahona, daghan ang makigbatok sa hari sa Ehipto. Usa niini mao ang bangis nimo nga mga isigka-Israelinhon. Himuon nila kini aron matuman ang panan-awon, apan mapakyas sila. 15Unya sulongon sa hari sa Syria ang usa ka pinarilan nga lungsod sa gingharian sa Ehipto. Libotan nila kini ug sudlon. Wala gayoy mahimo ang Ehipto apil ang ilang labing maayo nga mga sundalo, tungod kay mawad-an silag kusog sa pagsukol. 16Busa himuon sa hari sa Syria ang bisan unsa nga gusto niya nga himuon, ug wala gayoy makapugong kaniya. Sakopon niya ang Israel,11:16 Israel: o, Jerusalem. Sa Hebreo, nindot nga yuta. Mao usab sa bersikulo 41. ug hingpit kini nga mailalom sa iyang gahom. 17Nagtinguha gayod ang hari sa Syria sa pagsulong sa Ehipto uban sa tibuok nga kusog sa iyang gingharian. Apan makig-abin una siya sa hari sa Ehipto pinaagi sa pagpaasawa sa iyang anak ngadto sa hari, aron pinaagi sa iyang anak malaglag ang gingharian sa Ehipto. Apan dili molaban kaniya ang iyang anak. 18Busa sulongon niya ang mga lungsod duol sa dagat, ug daghan kanila ang iyang sakopon. Apan undangon sa usa ka komander ang iyang pagtamay sa uban, ug isumbalik kini kaniya. 19Busa mobalik siya sa pinarilan nga mga lungsod sa iyang kaugalingong dapit. Apan mapildi siya, ug mao na kini ang iyang kataposan.
20“Ang mopuli kaniya nga hari magsugo ug usa ka tawo nga mopugos sa mga tawo sa pagbayad ug buhis aron madugangan ang bahandi sa iyang gingharian. Hinuon, dili kini magdugay; mamatay siya, apan dili pinaagi sa kapungot o sa gira.
21“Ang mopuli kaniya usa ka tawong walay hinungdan, ug walay katungod nga mahimong hari. Mokalit lang siya ug tungha ug sakopon niya ang gingharian pinaagi sa limbong. 22Daghang kasundalohan ang iyang laglagon, ug patyon niya lakip ang pangulong pari.11:22 pangulong pari: sa literal, pangulo sa kasabotan. 23Makighiusa siya sa uban nga mga nasod ug pagkahuman limbongan niya sila. Mahimo siyang gamhanan bisan kon gamay lang ang iyang gingharian. 24Kalitan niya pagsulong ang mauswagong mga dapit sa usa ka probinsya, ug himuon niya ang wala mahimo sa iyang mga katigulangan kaniadto. Bahin-bahinon niya ngadto sa iyang sumusunod ang mga butang nga nailog niya gikan sa gira. Magplano siya sa pagsulong sa pinarilan nga mga lungsod, apan dili magdugaykining tanan.
25“Uban sa daghan niyang mga sundalo, mangisog siya sa pagsulong sa hari sa Ehipto. Apan makiggubat kanila ang hari sa Ehipto nga may daghan ug lig-on nga mga sundalo. Apan mapildi ang hari sa Ehipto tungod kay limbongan siya. 26Unayon siya sa iya mismong mga tawo. Busa mapildi ang iyang mga sundalo ug daghan kanila ang mangamatay.
27“Mag-atubang kining duha ka mga hari apan managsama silang nagpakaaron-ingnon ug maghunahuna ug daotan batok sa usag usa. Apan dili molampos ang ilang mga tinguha tungod kay wala pa moabot ang gitakda nga panahon. 28Mopauli ang hari sa Syria sa iyang dapit dala ang daghang mga bahandi. Apan magtinguha siya sa paglutos sa relihiyon sa mga katawhan sa Dios.11:28 relihiyon sa mga katawhan sa Dios: sa literal, balaan nga kasabotan. Buhaton niya ang iyang gusto ug human niini, mopauli siya sa iyang dapit.
29“Sa gitakda nga panahon, sulongon pag-usab sa hari sa Syria ang Ehipto, apan ang mahitabo niining higayona dili na sama sa nahitabo sa una: 30Sakay sa mga barko, sulongon sa mga taga-Kitim ang hari sa Syria. Tungod sa kalisang, moatras ang hari sa Syria, ug pahimungtan niya ang mga katawhan nga nagtuman sa balaan nga kasabotan. Pagkahuman mopauli siya, ug hatagan niyag pabor kadtong mga Israelinhon nga nagsalikway sa balaan nga kasabotan.
31“Sugoon sa hari sa Syria ang iyang mga sundalo sa pagpasipala sa templo nga nalibotan sa lig-on nga mga paril. Ipahunong niya ang adlaw-adlaw nga paghalad ug ipahimutang ang usa ka makalilisang nga butang nga magdalag kalaglagan. 32Ulog-ulogan niya ang mga daotan nga mga Israelinhon nga misalikway sa ilang relihiyon. Apan lig-on nga mobarog ug mosukol kaniya ang mga Israelinhon nga nakaila gayod sa ilang Dios.
33“Tudloan sa mga maalamon ang daghang mga tawo, apan lutoson sila sulod sa hamubo nga panahon. Ang uban kanila patyon pinaagi sa espada o sa kalayo, ug ang uban bihagon o kuhaan sa mga kabtangan. 34Niining paglutos kanila, gamay lang ang motabang kanila, ug daghang mga tawo nga dili matinud-anon ang mouban kanila. 35Ang uban sa mga maalamon lutoson aron mahimong putli o hinlo ang ilang kinabuhi hangtod moabot ang kataposan—ang panahon nga gitakda sa Dios.
36“Himuon sa hari sa Syria ang tanang buot niyang himuon. Isipon niya ang iyang kaugalingon nga labaw sa tanang mga dios, ug magsulti siyag mga pagpasipala batok sa Dios nga labaw sa tanang mga dios. Magmalampuson siya hangtod sa panahon nga ipadayag sa Dios ang iyang kasuko, tungod kay kinahanglan gayod nga mahitabo ang mga butang nga gitakda sa Dios nga mahitabo. 37-38Dili niya ilhon ang mga dios sa iyang mga katigulangan o ang dios nga gipangga sa mga kababayen-an. Ilhon hinuon niya ang iyang kaugalingon nga mas labaw kay kanilang tanan. Wala siyay laing pasidunggan nga dios gawas sa dios nga tigsulong sa pinarilan nga mga lungsod. Pasidunggan niya kini nga dios nga wala gani mailhi sa iyang mga katigulangan. Halaran niya kini ug bulawan, pilak, mahalong mga bato, ug uban pang mahalon nga mga gasa. 39Sulongon niya ang labing lig-on nga mga paril nga naglibot sa usa ka siyudad pinaagi sa panabang sa iyang langyaw nga dios. Pasidunggan niya ang mga tawo nga moila kaniya pinaagi sa paghatag kanilag katungdanan sa pagdumala sa daghang mga katawhan. Ug hatagan niya sila ug yuta isip ganti.
40“Pag-abot sa kataposan, makiggubat ang hari sa Ehipto sa hari sa Syria. Apan sulongon siya sa hari sa Syria nga may mga karwahe ug mga tigkabayo ug daghang mga barko. Sulongon niya nga daw baha ang daghang mga nasod ug laglagon. 41Sulongon niya lakip ang Israel, ug daghang mga tawo ang mangamatay. Apan makaikyas ang Edom, ang Moab, ug ang mga pangulo sa mga Amonihanon. 42Daghang mga nasod ang iyang sulongon, usa na ang Ehipto. 43Mapanag-iyahan niya ang mga bulawan, mga pilak, ug ang tanang bahandi sa Ehipto. Sakopon usab niya apil ang Libya ug ang Etiopia. 44Apan may mga balita gikan sa sidlakan ug amihan nga makapahasol kaniya. Mamatay siya nga wala gayoy motabang kaniya.”
