1The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. 2And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

6¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:1.6 away captive…: or, them away with an entire 7But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof: 8And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.
9¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:1.9 the brotherly…: Heb. the covenant of brethren 10But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.
11¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:1.11 did cast…: Heb. corrupted his compassions 12But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:1.13 ripped…: or, divided the mountains 14But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind: 15And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.
1ئەمە پەیامی ئامۆسە کە یەکێک بوو لە شوانەکانی شارۆچکەی تەقۆعە، دوو ساڵ پێش بوومەلەرزەکە لە سەردەمی عوزیای پاشای یەهودا و لە سەردەمی یارۆڤعامی کوڕی یەهۆئاشی پاشای ئیسرائیل، ئەم بینینەی دەربارەی ئیسرائیل بۆ ئاشکرا کرا.
2گوتی:
«یەزدان لە سییۆنەوە دەنەڕێنێت،
لە ئۆرشەلیمەوە دەنگی دێت،
لەوەڕگای شوانەکان شیوەن دەگێڕن و
لووتکەی کارمەل وشک دەبێت.»
حوکم بەسەردادانی وڵاتانی دەوروبەر
3یەزدان ئەمە دەفەرموێت:
«دیمەشق یاخی بوو، لە یاخیبوونەکەی بەردەوامە،
سزاکەیان بەسەردا تێناپەڕێنم،
لەبەر ئەوەی بە جەنجەڕی ئاسن گلعادیان شێلا،
4ئاگر دەنێرمە سەر ماڵی حەزائێل،
قەڵاکانی بەن‌هەدەد دەخوات.
5شەوبەندی دەروازەکانی دیمەشق دەشکێنم،
فەرمانڕەواکە لە دۆڵی ئاڤەن ڕیشەکێش دەکەم،
هەروەها گۆچان بەدەست لە بێت‌عەدەن.
گەلی ئارام بۆ قییر ڕاپێچ دەکرێن.»
ئەوە فەرمایشتی یەزدانە.
6یەزدان ئەمە دەفەرموێت:
«غەزە یاخی بوو، لە یاخیبوونەکەی بەردەوامە،
سزاکەیان بەسەردا تێناپەڕێنم،
لەبەر ئەوەی چەند کۆمەڵگایەکی بە تەواوەتی بە دیل گرت و
بە ئەدۆمی فرۆشت،
7ئاگر دەنێرمە سەر شووراکانی غەزە،
قەڵاکانی دەخوات.
8فەرمانڕەواکە لە ئەشدۆد ڕیشەکێش دەکەم و
گۆچان بەدەست لە ئەسقەلان.
دەستم دەگەڕێنمەوە سەر عەقرۆن،
پاشماوەی فەلەستییەکان لەناودەچن.»
ئەوە فەرمایشتی یەزدانی باڵادەستە.
9یەزدان ئەمە دەفەرموێت:
«سور یاخی بوو، لە یاخیبوونەکەی بەردەوامە،
سزاکەیان بەسەردا تێناپەڕێنم،
لەبەر ئەوەی تەواوی چەند کۆمەڵگایەکی بە دیلگیراوی فرۆشتە ئەدۆم و
پەیمانی برایەتییان نەهێنایەوە یادیان،
10ئاگر دەنێرمە سەر شووراکانی سور،
قەڵاکانی دەخوات.»
11یەزدان ئەمە دەفەرموێت:
«لەبەر ئەوەی ئەدۆم یاخی بوو، لە یاخیبوونەکەی بەردەوامە،
سزاکەیان بەسەردا تێناپەڕێنم،
لەبەر ئەوەی بە شمشێرەوە دوای براکەی کەوت،
بەبێ دەربڕینی بەزەیی.
هەروەها لەبەر ئەوەی تووڕەییەکەی بەردەوام لە جۆش بوو،
قینیشی بۆ هەتاهەتایە هەڵدەگرت،
12هەر لەبەر ئەوە ئاگر دەنێرمە سەر تێمان،
قەڵاکانی بۆزرا دەخوات.»
13یەزدان ئەمە دەفەرموێت:
«عەمۆن یاخی بوو، لە یاخیبوونەکەی بەردەوامە،
سزاکەیان بەسەردا تێناپەڕێنم،
لەبەر ئەوەی سکپڕەکانی گلعادیان هەڵدڕی،
بۆ ئەوەی سنوورەکانیان بەرفراوان بکەن،
14ئاگر لە شووراکانی ڕەبە بەردەدەم
قەڵاکانی دەخوات،
بە هاتوهاوارەوە لە ڕۆژی جەنگدا،
بە زریانەوە لە ڕۆژی باوباراندا.
15پاشاکەیان ڕاپێچ دەکرێت،
ئەو و هەموو کاربەدەستەکانی بە یەک جار.»
