1And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly. 2Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers. 3So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness. 4But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjath-jearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem. 5Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.1.5 he put: or, was there 6And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.
7¶ In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. 8And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. 9Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.1.9 like…: Heb. much as the dust of the earth 10Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? 11And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 12Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
13¶ Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel. 14And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem. 15And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.1.15 made: Heb. gave 16And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king’s merchants received the linen yarn at a price.1.16 Solomon…: Heb. the going forth of the horses which was Solomon’s 17And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.1.17 means: Heb. hand

1Milig-on ang paghari ni Solomon nga anak ni David sa iyang gingharian kay kauban niya ang Ginoo nga iyang Dios, ug gihimo siyang labihan ka gamhanan. 2Unya nakigsulti si Solomon sa tanang Israelinhon, sa mga komander sa linibo ug ginatos ka mga sundalo, sa mga maghuhukom, sa tanang pangulo sa Israel, ug sa tanang pangulo sa mga pamilya. 3Unya miadto si Solomon ug ang tibuok katilingban sa simbahanan sa habog nga dapit sa Gibeon, tungod kay atua didto ang Tolda nga Tagboanan sa Dios. Kini nga Tolda gihimo ni Moises nga alagad sa Ginoo didto sa kamingawan. 4Niadtong panahona nabalhin na ni David ang Kahon sa Dios gikan sa Kiriat Jearim ngadto sa tolda nga iyang giandam alang niini didto sa Jerusalem. 5Apan ang bronsi nga halaran nga hinimo ni Bezalel nga anak ni Uri ug apo ni Hur atua pa gihapon sa Gibeon sa atubangan sa Tolda sa Ginoo. Busa nagtigom didto si Solomon ug ang katilingban aron sa pagpangutana sa Ginoo. 6Misaka si Solomon ngadto sa bronsi nga halaran didto sa presensya sa Ginoo sa Tolda nga Tagboanan, ug naghalad siya ug 1,000 ka mga halad nga sinunog.
7Nianang pagkagabii, nagpakita ang Dios kang Solomon ug miingon kaniya, “Sultihi ako kon unsay gusto mo nga ihatag ko kanimo.” 8Mitubag si Solomon, “Gipakitaan mo ug dakong kaayo ang akong amahan nga si David, ug karon imo akong gipuli kaniya ingon nga hari. 9Karon, Ginoong Dios, tumana ang imong gisaad sa akong amahan nga si David, kay imo akong gihimo nga hari sa katawhan nga daw sama kadaghan sa balas. 10Hatagi ako sa kaalam ug kahibalo aron madumalahan ko kini nga katawhan. Kay kinsa may makahimo sa pagdumala niining imong katawhan nga labihan kadaghan?”
11Miingon ang Dios kang Solomon, “Tungod kay nangayo ka sa kaalam ug kahibalo sa pagdumala sa akong katawhan isip ilang hari ug wala ka mangayo ug bahandi, dungog, o kaha kamatayon sa imong mga kaaway o taas nga kinabuhi, 12ihatag ko kanimo ang imong gipangayo nga kaalam ug kahibalo. Ug dili kay kana lang, hatagan ko usab ikaw ug bahandi, kabtangan, ug dungog nga wala gayod maangkon sa mga hari nga nagauna kanimo, ug dili usab maangkon sa mosunod kanimo.”
13Unya mibiya si Solomon sa Tolda nga Tagboanan didto sa simbahanan sa habog nga dapit sa Gibeon, ug mibalik sa Jerusalem diin nagpuyo siya ug naghari sa Israel.
Ang Bahandi ni Solomon
(1 Hari 10:26-29)
14Nakatigom si Solomon ug 1,400 ka mga karwahe ug 12,000 ka mga kabayo.1:14 kabayo: o, tigkabayo.
