1And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth-lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. 2And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.16.2 with thee: Heb. in thine hand 3And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee. 4And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Beth-lehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?16.4 coming: Heb. meeting 5And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.
6¶ And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD’s anointed is before him.16.6 Eliab: called Elihu 7But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.16.7 outward…: Heb. eyes 8Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this. 9Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these. 11And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. 14¶ But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.16.14 troubled: or, terrified 15And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. 16Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well. 17And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me. 18Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth-lehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.16.18 matters: or, speech
19¶ Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep. 20And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul. 21And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer. 22And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight. 23And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
دەستنیشانکردنی داود لەلایەن ساموئێل
1جا یەزدان بە ساموئێلی فەرموو: «هەتا کەی شیوەن بۆ شاول دەگێڕیت، چونکە من ڕەتم کردووەتەوە پاشای ئیسرائیل بێت؟ قۆچەکەت پڕ بکە لە زەیت و بڕۆ، دەتنێرم بۆ لای یەسای بێت‌لەحمی، لەنێو کوڕەکانیدا پاشایەکم بۆ خۆم هەڵبژاردووە.»
2ساموئێلیش گوتی: «چۆن بڕۆم؟ ئەگەر شاول ئەمە ببیستێتەوە دەمکوژێت.»
یەزدانیش فەرمووی: «گوێرەکەیەکی مێینەی سێ ساڵە16:2 مەبەست لە گوێرەکەیەکی مێینەی سێ ساڵەیە، پێش تەمەنی کەڵگرتن. لەگەڵ دەستت دەبەیت و دەڵێیت: ”بۆ قوربانی سەربڕین بۆ یەزدان هاتووم.“ 3جا یەسا بۆ قوربانییە سەربڕدراوەکە بانگهێشت دەکەیت و من فێرت دەکەم چی بکەیت و ئەو کەسەم بۆ دەستنیشان16:3 بە زمانی عیبری پێی دەگوترێ مەشیخ یان مەشیح، کە بە واتای چەورکردن بە زەیت دێت وەک دەستنیشانکردنی کەسێک بۆ لەئەستۆگرتنی بەرپرسیاریێتییەک و پێ سپاردنی لەلایەن خوداوە. دەکەیت کە پێت دەفەرمووم.»
4ساموئێل ئەوەی کرد کە یەزدان پێی فەرموو، هات بۆ بێت‌لەحم و پیرانی شارۆچکەکە بە ترسەوە پێشوازییان کرد و گوتیان: «بە ئاشتی هاتوویت؟»
5ساموئێلیش وەڵامی دایەوە: «بە ئاشتییە، هاتووم بۆ سەربڕینی قوربانی بۆ یەزدان، خۆتان تەرخان بکەن و لەگەڵمدا وەرن بۆ قوربانییەکە.» ئینجا یەسا و کوڕەکانی تەرخان کرد و بۆ قوربانییەکە بانگهێشتی کردن.
6کاتێک هاتن، ساموئێل تەماشای ئەلیابی کرد و لەبەرخۆیەوە گوتی: «بە دڵنیاییەوە ئەوەیە یەزدان دەستنیشانی کردووە، لەبەردەمیەتی.»
7بەڵام یەزدان بە ساموئێلی فەرموو: «تەماشای ڕوخسار و باڵای مەکە، چونکە ڕەتم کردووەتەوە. یەزدان وەک مرۆڤ تەماشا ناکات، چونکە مرۆڤ تەماشای ڕوخسار دەکات، بەڵام یەزدان تەماشای دڵ دەکات.»
8دوای ئەوەی یەسا ئەبینادابی بانگکرد و بە بەردەم ساموئێلدا تێپەڕی کرد، ساموئێلیش گوتی: «یەزدان ئەمەشی هەڵنەبژاردووە.» 9ئینجا یەسا شەممای تێپەڕاند و ساموئێلیش گوتی: «یەزدان ئەمەشی هەڵنەبژاردووە.» 10یەسا هەر حەوت کوڕەکەی لەبەردەم ساموئێلدا تێپەڕاند. ساموئێلیش بە یەسای گوت: «یەزدان لەمانەی هەڵنەبژاردووە.» 11لە یەسای پرسی: «ئایا هەموو کوڕەکانت لێرەن؟»
ئەویش گوتی: «بچووکترینیان هێشتا ماوە و مەڕ دەلەوەڕێنێت.»
ساموئێلیش گوتی: «بنێرە بەدوایدا و بیهێنە، چونکە دانانیشین هەتا ئەو دێتە ئێرە.»
12ئەویش بەدوایدا ناردی و هێنای، سوورەیەکی چاوجوانی قۆز بوو.
ئینجا یەزدان فەرمووی: «هەستە و دەستنیشانی بکە، چونکە ئەمە خۆیەتی.»
13ساموئێل قۆچە زەیتەکەی برد و لەنێو براکانیدا دەستنیشانی کرد و لەو ڕۆژە بەدواوە ڕۆحی یەزدان بە تواناوە هاتە سەر داود. پاشان ساموئێل هەستا و چوو بۆ ڕامە.
داود لە خزمەتی شاولدا
14ڕۆحی یەزدانیش لە شاول جیا بووەوە و بە فەرمانی یەزدان ڕۆحێکی بەد هەراسانی کرد.
15جا خزمەتکارەکانی شاول پێیان گوت: «ئەوەتا ئێستا ڕۆحێکی بەد لەلایەن خوداوە هەراسانت دەکات. 16با ئێستا گەورەمان فەرمان بە خزمەتکارەکانی بەردەمی بکات بەدوای پیاوێکدا بگەڕێن کە شارەزایی لە قیسارە ژەنین هەبێت، جا هەر کاتێک ئەو ڕۆحە بەدەی لەلایەن خوداوەیە بێتە سەرت، قیسارە بژەنێت تۆ باش دەبیت.»
17شاولیش بە خزمەتکارەکانی گوت: «ئێستا پیاوێکم بۆ ببیننەوە قیسارە بە چاکی بژەنێت و بۆ منی بهێنن.»
18جا یەکێک لە خزمەتکارەکان وەڵامی دایەوە و گوتی: «کوڕێکی یەسای بێت‌لەحمیم بینیوە، دەزانێت قیسارە بژەنێت. هەروەها قارەمانێکی بەهێزە و جەنگاوەرە، زمان ڕەوانە و پیاوێکی قۆزە، یەزدانیشی لەگەڵدایە.»
19شاولیش نێردراوی بۆ لای یەسا نارد و گوتی: «داودی کوڕتم بۆ بنێرە، ئەوەی مەڕ دەلەوەڕێنێت.» 20یەساش گوێدرێژێکی هێنا، نان و مەشکەیەک شەراب و کارەبزنێکی لێ بارکرد، بە دەستی داودی کوڕیدا بۆ شاولی نارد.
21ئیتر داود هاتە لای شاول و دەستی بە خزمەتکردنی کرد. شاولیش داودی زۆر خۆشویست و کردییە یەکێک لە هەڵگری تفاقەکانی. 22شاول بۆ یەسای نارد و گوتی: «تکایە با داود لە خزمەتی مندا بمێنێتەوە، چونکە لەلام پەسەندە.»
23هەر کاتێک ڕۆحەکە لەلایەن خوداوە بۆ سەر شاول دەهات، داود قیسارەکەی بەدەستەوە دەگرت و دەیژەند، شاولیش دڵی دەکرایەوە و باش دەبوو، ڕۆحە بەدەکە وازی لێ دەهێنا.
