1And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.6.1 began…: Heb. built 2And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits. 3And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house. 4And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.6.4 of…: or, broad within, and narrow without: or, skewed and closed

11¶ And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying, 12Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father: 13And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel. 14So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
15And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.6.15 both…: or, from the floor of the house unto the walls, etc 16And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place. 17And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long. 18And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.6.18 knops: or, gourds6.18 open: Heb. openings of 19And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD. 20And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.6.20 pure: Heb. shut up 21So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold. 22And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.
23¶ And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.6.23 olive: or, oily: Heb. trees of oil 24And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits. 25And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size. 26The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub. 27And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.6.27 they…: or, the cherubims stretched forth their wings 28And he overlaid the cherubims with gold. 29And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.6.29 open flowers: Heb. openings of flowers 30And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

36¶ And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.
37¶ In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif: 38And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. ሰሎሞን ቤተ መቅደሱን መሥራት ጀመረ
6፥1-29 ተጓ ምብ – 2ዜና 3፥1-14
1እስራኤላውያን ከግብፅ በወጡ በአራት መቶ ሰማንያ6፥1 ዕብራይስጡ ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማል፤ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕም አራት መቶ አርባ ይላሉ። ዓመት፣ ሰሎሞን በእስራኤል ላይ በነገሠ በአራተኛው ዓመት፣ ዚፍ በተባለው በሁለተኛው ወር ሰሎሞን የእግዚአብሔርን ቤተ መቅደስ መሥራት ጀመረ።
2ንጉሥ ሰሎሞን ለእግዚአብሔር የሠራው ቤተ መቅደስ ርዝመቱ ስድሳ ክንድ፣ ወርዱ ሃያ ክንድ፣ ቁመቱ ሠላሳ ክንድ6፥2 ርዝመቱ 27 ሜትር፣ ወርዱ 9 ሜትር እንዲሁም ቁመቱ 13.5 ሜትር ያህል ነው። ነበር። 3በቤተ መቅደሱ ዋነኛ አዳራሽ ፊት ለፊት ያለው በረንዳ ወርዱ እንደ ቤተ መቅደሱ ወርድ ሁሉ ሃያ ክንድ6፥3 9 ሜትር ያህል ነው። ሲሆን፣ ርዝመቱ ዐሥር ክንድ6፥3 4.5 ሜትር ያህል ነው። ወደ ውጭ የወጣ ነበር። 4ለቤተ መቅደሱም ባለ ዐይነ ርግብ መስኮቶች አበጀ። 5በዋናው ቤተ መቅደስና በቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑ ግድግዳ ዙሪያ ልዩ ክፍሎች ያሉት ተቀጥላ ግንብ ሠራ። 6የምድር ቤቱ ወርድ አምስት ክንድ፣6፥6 በዚህ እንዲሁም በ10 እና 24 ላይ 2.3 ሜትር ያህል ነው። የመካከለኛው ፎቅ ስድስት ክንድ፣6፥6 2.7 ሜትር ያህል ነው። የሦስተኛው ፎቅ ሰባት ክንድ6፥6 3.1 ሜትር ያህል ነው። ነበር፤ የቤተ መቅደሱን ግድግዳ ዘልቆ እንዳይገባም፣ ከቤተ መቅደሱ ግንብ ውጭ ዙሪያውን እርከኖች አደረገ።
7ቤተ መቅደሱ የተሠራው እዚያው ድንጋዩ ተቈፍሮ ከወጣበት ቦታ በተዘጋጀ ድንጋይ በመሆኑ የመራጃ፣ የመሮ ወይም የሌላ ብረት ነክ መሣሪያ ድምፅ በቤተ መቅደሱ አካባቢ አልተሰማም ነበር።
8የምድር ቤቱ6፥8 የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕም ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማል፤ ዕብራይስጡ ግን የመካከለኛው ደርብ ይላሉ። መግቢያ በስተ ደቡብ በኩል ባለው የቤተ መቅደሱ ጐን ሲሆን፣ ወደ መካከለኛውና ከዚያም ወደ መጨረሻው ፎቅ የሚያስወጣ ደረጃ ነበረው። 9ቤተ መቅደሱንም በዚሁ ሁኔታ ሠርቶ ጨረሰ፤ ለጣራው ተሸካሚ አደረገለት፤ በዝግባ ሳንቃም ከደነው። 10በቤተ መቅደሱም ዙሪያ በሙሉ፣ ቁመታቸው አምስት አምስት ክንድ የሆነ ክፍሎች ሠራ፤ እነዚህንም ከቤተ መቅደሱ ጋር በዝግባ አግዳሚ ዕንጨቶች አያያዛቸው።
11የእግዚአብሔርም ቃል እንዲህ ሲል ወደ ሰሎሞን መጣ፤ 12“ስለምትሠራው ስለዚህ ቤተ መቅደስ ሥርዐቴን ብትከተል፣ ፍርዴን በተግባር ብትገልጸው፣ ትእዛዞቼን ብትጠብቅና ብትመላለስባቸው ለአባትህ ለዳዊት የሰጠሁትን ተስፋ በአንተ እፈጽመዋለሁ፤ 13በእስራኤላውያን መካከል እኖራለሁ፤ ሕዝቤን እስራኤልንም አልተወውም።”
14ስለዚህ ሰሎሞን ቤተ መቅደሱን ሠርቶ ፈጸመ፤ 15የውስጡን ግድግዳ ከቤተ መቅደሱ ወለል እስከ ጣራው ድረስ በዝግባ ሳንቃ ለበጠ፤ የቤተ መቅደሱንም ወለል የጥድ ሳንቃ አለበሰው። 16በቤተ መቅደሱም ውስጥ በስተ ኋላ በኩል፣ ሃያውን ክንድ ቅድስተ ቅዱሳን እንዲሆን፣ ከወለሉ አንሥቶ እስከ ጣራው ድረስ በዝግባ ሳንቃዎች ጋረደው፤ 17በቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑ ፊት ለፊት ያለው ዋና አዳራሽ ርዝመቱ አርባ ክንድ6፥17 18 ሜትር ያህል ነው። ነበር። 18የቤተ መቅደሱም፣ ውስጡ በሙሉ በዝግባ የተለበጠ ሲሆን፣ ይህም በእንቡጥ አበቦችና በፈኩ አበቦች ቅርጽ የተጌጠ ነበር፤ በሙሉ ዝግባ እንጂ የሚታይ ድንጋይ አልነበረም።
19በቤተ መቅደሱም ውስጠኛ ክፍል የእግዚአብሔር የቃል ኪዳኑ ታቦት የሚቀመጥበትን ቅድስተ ቅዱሳን ሠራ። 20ቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑም ርዝመቱ ሃያ ክንድ፣ ወርዱ ሃያ ክንድ፣ ቁመቱም ሃያ ክንድ6፥20 ርዝመቱ፣ ወርዱና ቁመቱ 9 ሜትር ያህል ነው። ነበር፤ ውስጡን በንጹሕ ወርቅ ለበጠው፤ ከዝግባ የተሠራውንም መሠዊያ በወርቅ ለበጠው። 21ሰሎሞንም ቤተ መቅደሱን በውስጥ በኩል በንጹሕ ወርቅ ለበጠው፤ በወርቅ በተለበጠው ቅድስተ ቅዱሳን ፊት ለፊትም የወርቅ ሰንሰለቶች ዘረጋ። 22ስለዚህ ውስጡን በሙሉ በወርቅ ለበጠው፤ በቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑ ውስጥ ያለውን መሠዊያም እንደዚሁ በወርቅ ለበጠው። 23በቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑም ውስጥ ቁመታቸው ዐሥር ክንድ6፥23 4.5 ሜትር ያህል ነው። የሆነ ሁለት የኪሩቤል ቅርጽ ከወይራ ዕንጨት ሠራ፤ 24የአንደኛው ኪሩብ አንዱ ክንፍ አምስት ክንድ ሲሆን፣ ሌላውም ክንፉ እንደዚሁ አምስት ክንድ ነበር፤ ይህም ከአንዱ ክንፍ ጫፍ እስከ ሌላው ክንፍ ጫፍ ዐሥር ክንድ ማለት ነው። 25የሁለተኛውም ኪሩብ ክንፍ እንደዚሁ ዐሥር ክንድ ሆነ፤ ሁለቱ ኪሩቤል በመጠንና በቅርጽ አንድ ዐይነት ነበሩና። 26የእያንዳንዱም ኪሩብ ቁመት ዐሥር ክንድ ነበር። 27ክንፎቻቸው እንደ ተዘረጋ፣ ኪሩቤልን ወስዶ በቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑ አኖራቸው፤ የአንዱ ኪሩብ ክንፍ አንዱን ግድግዳ ሲነካ፣ የሌላው ኪሩብ ክንፍ ደግሞ ሌላውን ግድግዳ ይነካ ነበር፤ ሌሎቹ ክንፎቻቸውም በቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑ መካከል እርስ በርሳቸው ይነካኩ ነበር። 28ኪሩቤልንም በወርቅ ለበጣቸው።
29በመቅደሱ ግድግዳ ዙሪያ ላይ ሁሉ በውስጥም በውጭም ኪሩቤልን፣ ከዘንባባ ዛፎችና ከፈነዱ አበቦች ጋር ቀረጸ። 30እንዲሁም የቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑንና የመቅደሱን ወለል በሙሉ በወርቅ ለበጠ።
31ለቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑም መግቢያ የወይራ ዕንጨት ደጃፎች ሠራ፤ መቃኖቻቸውንና መድረኮቻቸውን ባለ አምስት ማእዘን አደረገ። 32በሁለቱ የወይራ ዕንጨት መዝጊያዎችም ላይ ኪሩቤልን፣ የዘንባባ ዛፎችንና የፈነዱ አበቦችን ቀረጸ፤ በወርቅም ለበጣቸው። 33እንዲሁም ለዋናው አዳራሽ መግቢያ ባለ አራት ማእዘን የወይራ ዕንጨት መቃን ሠራ፤ 34እያንዳንዳቸው በማጠፊያ የተያያዙ ሁለት ሁለት ሳንቃዎች ያሏቸው ሁለት መዝጊያዎች አበጀ። 35ኪሩቤልን፣ የዘንባባ ዛፎችንና የፈኩ አበቦችንም ቀረጸባቸው፤ ቅርጹን ሠራ፤ ጥሩ አድርጎም በወርቅ ለበጠው።
36የውስጠኛውን አደባባይ በሦስት ረድፍ ጥርብ ድንጋይና በአንድ ረድፍ የዝግባ ሳንቃ ሠራው።
37የእግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስም በአራተኛው ዓመት ዚፍ በተባለው ወር መሠረቱ ተጣለ፤ 38በዐሥራ አንደኛው ዓመት ቡል በተባለውም በስምንተኛው ወር ቤተ መቅደሱ በዝርዝር ጥናቱ መሠረት እንደ ታቀደው ተፈጸመ፤ ሠርቶ የጨረሰውም በሰባት ዓመት ጊዜ ውስጥ ነበር።
