1 Chronicles 25:1-31

8¶ And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar. 9Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve: 10The third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 11The fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 12The fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 13The sixth to Bukkiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 14The seventh to Jesharelah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 15The eighth to Jeshaiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 16The ninth to Mattaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 17The tenth to Shimei, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 18The eleventh to Azareel, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 19The twelfth to Hashabiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 20The thirteenth to Shubael, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 21The fourteenth to Mattithiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 22The fifteenth to Jeremoth, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 23The sixteenth to Hananiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 24The seventeenth to Joshbekashah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 25The eighteenth to Hanani, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 26The nineteenth to Mallothi, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 27The twentieth to Eliathah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 28The one and twentieth to Hothir, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 29The two and twentieth to Giddalti, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 30The three and twentieth to Mahazioth, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 31The four and twentieth to Romamti-ezer, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve.

Die Dienstgruppen der Sänger und Musiker

1David wählte zusammen mit den Heerführern die Familien von Asaf, Heman und Jedutun für einen besonderen Dienst aus: Sie sollten mit ihren Liedern die Botschaften Gottes verkünden und den Gesang mit Harfen, Lauten und Zimbeln begleiten. Folgende Männer wurden dazu berufen:

2Von Asafs Familie: Sakkur, Josef, Netanja und Asarela, die Söhne von Asaf. Ihr Vater war der Leiter dieser Gruppe, er dichtete im Auftrag des Königs prophetische Lieder.

3Von Jedutuns Familie: Gedalja, Zeri, Jesaja, Schimi25,3 Ergänzt nach 1. Chronik 25,17 und der griechischen Übersetzung., Haschabja und Mattitja, die sechs Söhne von Jedutun. Ihr Vater leitete diese Gruppe. Er begleitete den prophetischen Gesang mit der Laute, um den Herrn zu loben und zu preisen.

4Von Hemans Familie: Bukkija, Mattanja, Usiël, Schubaël, Jerimot, Hananja, Hanani, Eliata, Giddalti, Romamti-Eser, Joschbekascha, Malloti, Hotir und Mahasiot. 5Sie alle waren Söhne von Heman, einem Seher, der in Davids Dienst stand. Gott hatte Heman verheißen, ihn zu einem mächtigen und angesehenen Mann zu machen,25,5 Wörtlich: das Horn zu erhöhen. – Das Horn steht sinnbildlich für Stärke und Kraft. darum hatte er ihm vierzehn Söhne und drei Töchter geschenkt.

6Diese drei Familien begleiteten den Gesang im Tempel des Herrn mit Zimbeln, Harfen und Lauten. Ihre Väter Asaf, Jedutun und Heman waren verantwortlich für den Gesang und die Musikbegleitung. Sie versahen ihren Dienst so, wie der König es angeordnet hatte. 7Insgesamt wurden 288 Leviten für den Gesang im Tempel ausgebildet. Sie alle waren ausgezeichnete Sänger. 8Auch ihre Diensteinteilung wurde durch das Los bestimmt. Alle wurden gleich behandelt, die Jungen wie die Alten, der Lehrer wie der Schüler.

9-31Es wurden 24 Dienstgruppen ausgelost, und jede bestand aus 12 Männern. Folgende Männer bildeten mit ihren Söhnen und Verwandten je eine Gruppe:

1. Josef aus der Sippe Asaf; 2. Gedalja; 3. Sakkur; 4. Zeri; 5. Netanja; 6. Bukkija; 7. Asarela; 8. Jesaja; 9. Mattanja; 10. Schimi; 11. Asarel; 12. Haschabja; 13. Schubaël; 14. Mattitja; 15. Jeremot; 16. Hananja; 17. Joschbekascha; 18. Hanani; 19. Malloti; 20. Eliata; 21. Hotir; 22. Giddalti; 23. Mahasiot; 24. Romamti-Eser.
